More Change we can believe in? In Obama’s world there are no such thing as “enemy combatants” … only people who are misunderstood. Individuals that we need to understand. Barack Obama has decided to abandon the term “enemy combatants” used to describe the jihadi and terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay. In more easier terms, enemies of the United States.
The Obama administration said Friday that it is abandoning one of President George W. Bush’s key phrases in the war on terrorism: enemy combatant. But that won’t change much for the detainees at the U.S. naval base in Cuba — Obama still asserts the military’s authority to hold them. Human rights attorneys said they were disappointed that Obama didn’t take a new stance.
The Justice Department said in legal filings that it will no longer use the term “enemy combatants’ to justify holding prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

Joe Biden Gaffe with Hot Mike and F-Bomb … “Gimme a f*&$#ing break”
Where have they been keeping Vice President Joe Biden these days? Punxsutawney Phil seems to peak his head out more these days and get media attention. Then again the famous ground hog does not seem to be as prone to gaffes as VP Biden.
At an event at Union Station today where Vice President Joe Biden was heralding the $1.3 billion in investments in rebuilding train stations and passenger rails, a microphone picked up one of the former senator’s myriad Senate colleagues addressing him, formally, as “Mr. Vice President.”
That met with Vice President Biden’s standard reply.
“Gimme a f*&$#ing break,” he said, apparently unaware that the microphone was on.

Didn’t the UN get the memo that they cannot criticize Barack Obama? They can’t bash the US with Obama in office, that is only reserved for Republican Presidents. Looks like even The One cannot prevent America bashing. Maybe it doesn’t make a difference as to who the US President is for the world to bash it.
So how does the United Nations really feel about the United States? The UN has no problem calling the US deadbeats. One day after a White House meeting between President Barack Obama, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, called the United States a “deadbeat” donor to the United Nations world body while making the made the rounds on Capitol Hill. Who is the first country to come to the aid of others when disasters strike? It’s the evil US and the deadbeats like who came to the aide of the tsunami victims both as a government and private citizens. Who comes with aid when an earthquake hits? Once again, it is those deadbeat Americans.
Can you imagine? This is how the UN feels and talks when they have a liberal ally in the White House like Barack Obama, imagine the tone that existed under GWB. Does anyone really think that a UN Secretary-General would have retracted words if a Republican was in office? Obviously Moon realized that bashing the US with Barack “The One” Obama in office was no longer in the UN play book as he released a statement.
Obviously Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon had to back track on his comments, how else would he and the UN be a part of Barack Obama’s Global Poor tax?

High US unemployment is change we can believe in. Driving a cab, working at a 7-11 or a gas station just may help pay our bills. Some voters may even return to their own countries.
It’s more change you can believe in, not only higher unemployment rates in the US but also a willing and complicit Barack Obama Stimulus plan that looks to create tens of thousands of jobs that could end up filled by illegal immigrants.
Studies by two conservative think tanks estimate immigrants in the United States illegally could take 300,000 construction jobs, or 15% of the 2 million jobs that new taxpayer-financed projects are predicted to create.
They fault Congress for failing to require that employers certify legal immigration status of workers before hiring by using a Department of Homeland Security program called E-Verify. The program allows employers to check the validity of Social Security numbers provided by new hires. It is available to employers on a voluntary basis.

Obama signs “imperfect spending bill”. Maybe America has elected an imperfect President. Obama claimed during the campaign he was against pork and railed on GWB and his out of control spending yet all Obama has done is spend, spend spend. Obama ran and preached to the American public that he was a Washington DC outsider against special interests, lobbyist influence, and pork-barrel spending. Obama said he was going to bring CHANGE to Washington. As Hot Air points out, Obama will deal with change another day … sure he will.
Was this the change that America signed on for? Barack Obama signs $410 billion spending bill filled with earmarks and then criticizes earmarks in the same breath. The ever present, Obama water carrying NY Times made the following excuses for Obama and his signing of the bill.
Did we mention that Obama signed the bill under the cloak of darkness will hiding under his desk in private away from the cameras. There is conviction to campaign promises and leadership you can believe in.
President Obama on Wednesday signed an “imperfect” spending bill packed with special projects in order to keep government running, but he vowed that it will be the last one and proposed ways to curb lawmakers from abusing the process in the future.
