More change you can believe in and this one is truly low rent. For the past 8 years Democrats were worried about American’s image in the world, they may want to continue that same thought with Obama at the helm. It is the thought that counts and it would have been nice and respectable if some thought was actually used. Please, stop making excuses for Obama and call a an ignorant gaffe for what it is. It would more so appear that the gift exchange from the Obama’s was a last second forgotten event and a rush to the local Blockbuster and the White House store.
When giving a gift, it is the thought that counts which makes it all the more puzzling as to what the hell Barack Obama was thinking when we gave British Prime Minister Gordon Brown a basket of CD’s. PM Brown bestowed upon Barack Obama an ornamental pen holder made from the timbers of the Victorian anti-slave ship HMS Gannet. A pretty thoughtful gift one would say,
The unique present delighted Mr Obama because oak from the Gannet’s sister ship, HMS Resolute, was carved to make a desk that has sat in the Oval Office in the White House since 1880.

First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL. The shooter injured 5 people before being stabbed by a parishioner. The gun man is reportedly in custody.
UPDATE I: The pastor of the First Baptist Church in Maryville, IL has been shot to death. CNN is reporting that Pastor Fred Winters has died after being shot 3 times by the unknown gun man. Pastor Fred Winters was pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital.
Fred Winters, the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Maryville, was shot and killed during the 8 a.m. service, and the attacker and two parishioners suffered knife wounds in the attack, Illinois state police spokesman Ralph Timmins told CNN affiliate KSDK.

The looks, the hugs have been nothing short of unprofessional at least. However, the red licorice moment is something that would be considered bizarre for this case. Jose Baez has been reprimanded in the past for hugging his client, what does one get for sharing a piece of licorice?
Now the Anthony’s private investigators are making some strange accusations of a lady and the tramp type act going on between the two at the Orange County Jail. Hoover told investigators that Baez brought red licorice with him to jail. That he was on one side of a piece of glass Casey Anthony on the other. There was a hole in the middle of that glass. Hoover told investigators quote: “And he started eating on one side and you know, she was eating on the other side so it looked like they were kissing through the glass or something, you know…
Hoover went on to say Dominic Casey told him that he and Baez were at the jail for three hours that night and that Baez and Casey Anthony never talked about the case.
The licorice moment has been compared to Disney’s Lady and the Tramp which is rather ironic as there has been rumored speculation as to ABC’s involvement with the Anthony’s.

Could there be a better metaphor for the Change promised by Barack Obama than the recent gaffe by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Russia with regards to the “Red Button”? Can the Obama Administration get anything right?
Hillary Clinton thought she was giving a Russian diplomat a reset button fir foreign relations, instead she gives them an “overcharge” button instead. DUH!!! Are you telling us that there is no one in the Obama Administration that does not know how to translate Russian? Funny, go to Babelfish and reset is translated as ??????? in Russian.
After promising to “push the reset button” on relations with Moscow, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to present Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with a light-hearted gift at their talks here Friday night to symbolize the Obama administration’s desire for a new beginning in the relationship.
It didn’t quite work out as she planned.
“You got it wrong,” Lavrov said, to Clinton’s clear surprise. Instead of “reset,” he said the word on the box meant “overcharge.”

As the Gateway Pundit stated, Hillary Clinton was sure to have dropped some F-bombs behind closed doors after this incident. It is amateur hour in the White House … there is some change you can believe in.
So the LEFT claims that the usual wingnuts are making a big deal out of this, yet these are the same people that ridiculed GWB and any Republican when they make a gaffe. There’s some consistency you can believe in. Like it or not, your Obamamessiah’s Administration is a gaffe a day and VP Biden has not even gotten he gaffe legs yet.
UPDATE I: Lost in Translation as Hillary’s joke goes awry. I guess its a good thing that Clinton was not in the Middle East trying to translate that Islam is a religion of peace. Or as Jules Crittenden states, “I thought Hillary was supposed to be the one with the 3 0′clock in the morning wake-up call experience.”

“We the People” have an economy that is tanking, a stock market that is at a 12 year low and looks to be heading south of 6000, Blue Chip stocks trading as penny stocks, and a Democratic controlled government that continues to spend, spend and spend in the nail of pork barrel bail outs driving the economy even further into the abyss.

With all this going on and as they claim America near catastrophe some how or another the Capitol and school girl Nancy Pelosi gets all giddy because Brad Pitt came to Capitol Hill. Are you serious? Law makers and their staffs going gaga for Pitt? Isn’t this special, Hollywood stars getting preferential treatment. So much for “We the People,” I guess in DC it just matters who the people are. This is ultimately why there is such a disconnect these days. Politicians have stopped caring about serving the people and care more about who they can get a photo-op next to.
