Hollywood Actress Angie Harmon … “If I have anything to say against Obama it’s not because I’m a racist”

You are not a racist if you disagree with Barack Obama … it just makes you “not a socialist”.

Finally, a Hollywood type who is not afraid to speak their mind and voice the opinion of Angie_harmonso many when it comes to disagreeing with President Barack Obama and his policies. Kudos the the former Law & Order ADA for telling it like it is and explaining that a disagreement with Obama and his socialist policies has nothing to do with race.

Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

“Here’s my problem with this, I’m just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it’s not because I’m a racist, it’s because I don’t like what he’s doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you’re called a racist,” Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. “But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he’s doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I’m still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we’ve got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that’s the thing I really don’t appreciate. If I’m going to disagree with my President, that doesn’t make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn’t make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous.”

As reported at Town Hall.com, the more Obama’s leftist/socialist policies fail and destroy our capitalist and free market economy, the more the Obama race card will be used.

As The Gateway Pundit states, “Impressive. Coming from Hollywood- that took an Angie_harmon2amazing amount of courage”.  I guess Angie can forget about those invitations to the Hollywood cocktail parties.

Angie Harmon went on to say that she was for John McCain because of his experience. Harmon is also quick to point out the media double standard and the “unclassy” actions of Obama doing a late night talk show.

“I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything,” Harmon said.

She is right. Just because you think Obama’s policies are on the lunatic fringe, it really doesn’t matter what color he is, or if he has
a pair of horns growing out of his head.

A mobster is a mobster, a thug is a thug.

Obama makes his own laws if he doesn’t like
      the ones that currently exist.

People who do that in real life wind up dead or in prison.

She is not a very good actress, her characters are always intellegent, strong, and well spoken women. Apperantly she is just being herself when she acts.

#1, Why did you post here? who cares what you think?

Whenever a hollywood psuedo-speak actor gushes over the chosen one the media props them up like a demi-god and we are all supposed to worship them.

When someone with the intellegence and the guts to voice their opinion is chastized as being a racist is just sickening to me.

I care what she says and I care about how she is treated. It gives light to the absurd atmosphere we now live and I know how to defend myself in it.

      Welcome to liberal nazi amerika.

Bug off chitown…she is ALLOWED by the Constitution of the United States to make her opinion KNOWN. She is a breath of fresh air from that liberal cess-pool called Hollywood. I’m glad she’s speaking up and saying what a lot of people are afraid to say! You are just jealous she looks like a godess and you look like a twinkie!

Good for Ms. Harmon. Finally, someone with the guts to speak out about how the Hollywood elites are a bunch of liberal bullies. Nothing wrong with her voicing her opinion against Obama. Lord knows the Hollywood crowd certainly voiced their disapproval of Bush when he was President. She is right that if you disagree or question Obama you are labeled a racist. White people are not the only one’s that are racist, every ethnicity has racism.

      By the way:

Please use the phrase “WAR ON TERROR” as much
as you possibly can in your daily dealings with
people. Try to do it without sounding like
      ‘Rain Man.’

This psychotic excuse for an administration
we have in office needs to be rendered weak
      and ineffective.

I’m tired of hearing the race card as well! I am not a racist and I don’t like the way Obama is handling things either, so there! My husband is unemployed, we’re struggling trying to hang on to our house, my 401K has dwindled to nothing. Am I happy with Obama? No way! If anyone has been racist, it’s the folks that elected him. I wonder how many people voted for Obama simply because of his color? I’m sure many african americans voted for him because of his color, not because he was the best man for the job! So there…if this makes me a racist, then so be it. I’m tired of hearing it. I want a better American and it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.

oh but wait !! we are about to get the dregs of the might obama stimulus plan. a whopping 15.00 per paycheck !! now we are really gonna bust the economy wide open with this much money !! after taxes about 8.00.
this makes about as much sense as obama acting as a president. both hilarious. i would rather see barry keep this money to see if he can get michelle’s bottom lip tucked in. looks like she’s dipping snuff all the time.

Angie Harmon isnt in a bread line. She only cares about continuing to line her pockets
and doesnt care about social programs, which is typical of the conservative Republicans – everyone grab what they can and to hell with the other guy. Because of course, the other guy is to lazy to get his. Weve had 8 years of grab all you can get, now its the liberals turn – Obama has been in office for less than three months and
no policies have been given a chance to take effect yet. There are ads on TV again as if we were still having an election and they so anti-Obama. Well, conservatives, get over it – you lost and you will lose again in four years and again in 8 years because of your failed policies
and because you are irrelevant. Bobby Jindal and
Sara Palin – or maybe Rush Limbuagh, is that the best you can do GOP’ers? They are all a joke
as well as Bush, a continuing joke.

Kudos to Angie Harmon! I’ve never seen her act, but she’s a beautiful young woman. More importantly, she has the courage of her convictions, and I applaud her for speaking her mind.

I have no doubt that her career will be adversely affected by her honesty, since it Hollywood is controlled by the cesspool of libtards.

Good luck Ms. Harmon, and BRAVO!

The Obama supporters are blind idiots. Angie Harmon is being belittled by the Obama machine because she is merely an actress, but when the liberal actors and actresses support Obama they are FAN F****** TASTIC. #10 and several others on here are right on. Obama is bankrupting this country and his inexperience is showing and it is going to have long and far reaching effects. Ms. Harmon has Bigger Kahunas than all the Obama supporters combined and all they can do is CRY RACISM bcause she speaks her mind and her concerns. You bunch of gutless infants need to shut up, wait till the TEA PARTIES get in full swing, you haven’t seen anything yet nor has that FOOL Obama, what an education he is about to get. So call me a racist too. Corruption thy name is Democratic Party. As former Democrat of 38 years I have the right to blast you left wing idiots.

fascinating. Angie Harmon says something and some here think “She’s an actress, she should shut up and act”, but George Loony Clooney and Barbara “I’m gonna leave” Streisand speak and they have no problem! The Academy Awards have been turned into a bully pulpit to defame the USA and President Bush and these people have no problems, but Harmon dare not speak her mind even in an appropriate forum.

I don’t care what Harmon, Clooney or Streisand think about politics, but I sure as hell will defend their right to speak it in an appropriate place. That’s what FREEDOM and Constitutional RIGHTS are all about.

No, I think it is more like, everyone EARN theirs.

The other guy is free to make the choice to earn his as well, unfortunately some people choose to
      enslave themselves with defeatism, negativity,
      laziness and ignorance.

The strong live, the weak die, it is natural law.

You can try and poke and prod someone to pull their own weight, but you cannot do the job for them.

Saving everyone would be wonderful, but that only happens at Disney Land. It just doesn’t work under real world conditions.

It doesn’t work in nature that way, nor will it
ever work for Obama. Democrat/Republican really plays no part in any of it.

that’s half and half? Do they not like the black

The “Change You Can Believe In” has begun with rewarding the very people who are responsible for this recession with free money from our grandchildren’s tax money, to pay them back for their large donations to the Democratic campaign.
How is this different from other Politicians other than it is the largest amount of debt our Country has ever experienced? Detroit was told to change the design of the vehicles for 30 years to us less gas. They did not. They were rewarded for their poor design and poor contracts with out tax money. Toyota and Honda saw the future and designed the vehicles of the future while America slept and payed their workers to sit at a table and read newspapers. A Company that signs contracts that pay unskilled laborers more money per hour than teachers, nurses, lab technicians and physician assistants is doomed to failure, so we bailed them out. Their system is broke. Their design is broke. Their management is broke; so why did our President back them with our hard earned money? Was it so they could continue to line their pockets for a year or two longer? Why? Because they backed him. Is this change you can believe in?
No family takes out large loans and spends more to overcome large debt because this is irrational. Why is our Government expecting this to work? Because no one cares any more. No one is watching the companies or the banks that were given billions of dollars of our hard earned money. The peons like you and I will get a dollar or two a week while prices increase and businesses fail and jobs are lost. Is this the change people expected? It is time people speak up. It is about money, our Country’s future our grandchildren’s hope for a life of comfort, food and education; not poverty, homelessness and hunger. This is not a race issue. This is a survival of our Country issue. The United States of America is failing all of us. Speak up. It is time for voices to be heard. The Country is not being run effectively for the betterment of all of the people and the survival of all. Too many are hungry. Too many want jobs. Too many have lost everything. Speak up.

They play the race card because it works. It gives them leverage. It “forces” others to shutup, thus giving the weak race card player his/her way. “Gettin over” is a phrase made up by the black man. I’d be ashamed to be black. Look @ all the public assistance programs, NAACP, ACLU, Jesse, Al. Makes the black man appear unable to make it through life under his/her own steam. Having to incessantly find excuses to get a free ride.

      Obama will destroy America.

Kids who’re not even born, and those in school, have a debt thanks to O. Did these kids have a voice?

O lied to the USA to get elected. Who is paying for his WH parties with Crow, ELO, Chicago?

Watch him very closely in a speech. He doesn’t have a clue. Stay tuned, don’t take my word, I only served 32 years in the US Army, for this USA.

Stay tuned for more destruction by this boy. I think he’s not even a valid citizen.

artgal16 – interested in social programs huh? And just which social programs are you partaking from? Are we paying your mortgage yet? Gonna run out and buy a car so we can pay your warranty work too?

How’s the tax break working for you? Oh, sorry, you have to work to get that, don’t you. But fear not, we greedy Americans only get $8 a week for 2 years, then the taxes go up.

Oh but wait until you see what’s coming down the pike! The Cap and Trade (energy) tax (something OweBama didn’t mention in the campaign speeches) is estimated to ADD $3,100 of taxes to every American family of 4. Every family uses energy – including poor ones who can least afford giving the govt $3,100. Does that make you proud?

I trust you don’t smoke because $10 tax was just added to a carton of cigarettes. But it’s proven that far more poor people smoke than rich. Are you concerned about this tax on them?

Go Angie! I’m proud to be an American, and I will speak my opinion openly. I also believe in our constitution. Freedom is a right that will be taken away very soon if we don’t keep up the chatter. Go America!

Hi Monkeys! Hi Red! Hi Katablog! Kat, been reading your posts at Ed’s site…nice!

For whatever reason I was going through Shango/Simian posts (yea again…)

You can download to the iPod Phone/Touch the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, in a FREE application. Also, a basic Bible. Can’t hurt to read, and the Rosary if you are brave enough to be a Catholic, and to top it all off, a CONSERVATIVE. Still have my “Sarah!” bumper sticker and carry it with pride. We would not be in this mess if she was our VP.

We are way more informed than liberals, according to multiple studies, and yes the way this country is heading, I give O no more than six months…to live or not I leave that to you. It might be proven that his citizenship is fake, or we will uproar.

BTW those that live in Erie, PA April 15th tea party are welcome to join us, from Buffalo, NY to center/NW Ohio. Look it up online, we will protest peacefully, in a family environment, and I suggest in support of these issues that concern us all, I pass along what I read in another blog:

HANG TEABAGS ON YOUR REARVIEW MIRROR.

#29 – Too funny. I guess you finally took that political science class…

3/11/09: “SM: Hey YOYO … West Virginia ain’t no RED State fool … it has two Dem Senators and Byrd was one of and always has been an abuser of earmarks. You do not count a state as how it voted, you count a state by what party represents it. Have you ever taken a poly sci or civics class?”

Then you went on to say Montana, Alaska, and Arkansas are NOT “red states”.

How can the top 15 be “red states” when according to you (based off representation as you stated on 3/11) the top 3 are NOT “red states”?

How is West Virginia a “red state” on 3/31 but not a “red state” on 3/11?????????

Answer – When it’s politically expedient to do so.

So…..the top 3 most charitable states are NOT red states.

Consistency sure is difficult for the right wing nowadays.

    38. Dolf on April 2nd, 2009 3:29 am

      a) should there be a match who gives most to charity???
      I think thats f-up.

      b) I see that as soon as an actor/actress is critical of Obama they are almost gods.
If they are positive about him they are scum.

THEY ARE FREAKING ACTORS WHO HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT REAL LIFE

    39. scott on April 2nd, 2009 7:53 am

Dolf – are you mentally challenged? Seriously? Do you actually comprehend?

It’s the reverse. Those who are critical of Obama are almost shunned in Hollywood. Those who have supported him have been propped up in the media. George Clooney had a sit down in the WH with Obama. Do you think he would afford that same right to Harmon? Nope!

Obama is a liar about not raising taxes on families below $250K:

      Quote from his campaign:

“I can make a firm pledge..Under my pan, no family making less than $250K a year will see ANY FORM of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains tax (big lie!), NOT ANY OF YOUR TAXES.”

Since the majority of Americans are below this $250K threshold, they also make up the majority of smokers. The FEDEARL GOV RAISED TAX on cigarettes (ironic Obama smokes, isn’t?…. This isanother way the government can take more of money and CONTROL what you do He already plans to raise capital gains and there will be more tax increases that will affect the middle class.

Unreal? It goes to show how STUPID those people who voted for him that make up the middle class. Obama is a create teller of what you want to hear but is slick and sneaky as a snake. These people cant see it!

scott, can you actualy read what I post, cause I post that you shouldn’t listen to actors and their political believes.

Go Angie, I become a bigger and bigger fan of yours. Beauty and brains. I agree with your stand against the the gang of thugs in control

    42. John on April 13th, 2010 12:02 pm

Thank GOD, (using God hasn’t been outlawed yet right?) Ms Harmon knows how to act like a true AMERICAN. She is a patriot and a hero. The most important right Americans have is to use their FREEDOM of Speech. I guess it has become politically correct and socially applauded to call people racist. No one knows what that means anymore. Please save that term for those who hate members of a group only because they are part of that group AND ALSO treat that group in a way which will harm them. Anyone (Jimmy Carter is one) who throws around terms like racist because people disagree shows how utterly ignorant they are. Please everyone. LOOK in the mirror. God Bless Angie Harmon….and Jon Voight.

    43. L.O. on July 12th, 2010 9:47 am

Tell like it is Angie. I’m glad someone in Holleywood will stand up. If a black man disagreed with Bush is he a racist?
