Because this is Good for America … Obama to Tax Wealthy on Charitable Givings

TAXING OF CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS … MORE OBAMA CHANGE:

Think that this is change you can believe in … reducing tax deductions on the wealthy who make charitable donations.  What does Obama have against the wealthy? Who does he think makes charitable contributions but people who actually have money to give, especially during hard economic times.

President Barack Obama is defending a budget idea that would reduce the tax deduction that wealthier families can take when they make charitable donations.

Obama says the plan is “the right thing to do.”

Speaking at a prime-time news conference, the president said the change in tax policy would be realistic and fairer to lower-earning families that make charitable gifts but get a smaller tax deduction. Some lawmakers don’t like the idea. They say it could hurt donations to needy groups in a time of need.

With non-profits already struggling to bring on charitable contribution, Barack Obama in his infinite wisdom looks to make it even harder. Why would anyone want charities to get less money? Maybe because in Obama’s socialist America, those in need are forced to look to the government, not those who actually care and provide services.

      This is pure logic!

After all, we’ve never gotten a deduction for our payments to by far the BIGGEST charity of all: the US gubmint.

Look at it this way. Bush let the wealthy take more of a deduction on charitable donations. Why should they get more of a break on their tax returns? This does make sense. It should be the same for everyone…no matter how much they donate. Besides if the rich are only looking at to donate in order to get a tax break..then F them anyway.

Wolf….you are clueless and missed the entire point of the article. But, I digress….getting pretty tired of filling in the likes of some individuals like yourself on Economics 101.

WHERE ARE OUR TAX BREAKS THAT OBAMA PROMISED THE MIDDLE CLASS/UPPER MIDDLE CLASS…you know- where most of us linger, WOLF? Oh, that’s right….we’re not getting any!

Please pass the smelling salts so we can bring Chowderheads like you (who over exaggerate and blame GWB for everything) back to the real world.

      Greetings:

I seem to recall that President and Mrs. Obama weren’t all that much into charitable giving themselves.

Barack Obama: The Dirty Harry of Hard Work??

“Feelin’ lucky? Well do ya, punk?”

Tuesday night, defending his decision to tax top earners at 40% but only allow them to deduct mortgages and charitable giving at 28%, President Obama repeated his oft-made argument that wealthy Americans are just lucky.

“Now the top 5% typically saw huge gains in their income…it is realistic for us to to raise income from people who’ve benefited enormously over the last several years…in some cases those who are more fortunate are going to have to pay a little bit more.”

Is that how people earn $200,000 in America? Just by being “fortunate,” by “benefiting” from the government, by sitting back and watching those “huge gains” appear in their paychecks?

Actually, President Obama thinks it’s worse than that:

Turn to page five of Mr. Obama’s federal budget, and one may read these commentaries on the top 1% datum:

“While middle-class families have been playing by the rules, living up to their responsibilities as neighbors and citizens, those at the commanding heights of our economy have not.”

“Prudent investments in education, clean energy, health care and infrastructure were sacrificed for huge tax cuts for the wealthy and well-connected.”

“There’s nothing wrong with making money, but there is something wrong when we allow the playing field to be tilted so far in the favor of so few. . . . It’s a legacy of irresponsibility, and it is our duty to change it.”

You six-figure earners aren’t just lucky–you’re cheaters. You haven’t been “playing by the rules” or “living up to [your] responsibilities.” Instead, you’ve been stealing money that should have gone to others.

Or maybe–and I know this sounds crazy to some of you–you make $150,000 a year because you earn it. Because you learned a valuable trade, or invested in an education, or just plain work your assets off. Maybe you’re earning $200,000 because you’re generating $400,000 in wealth. I know–crazy.

A step-brother of US President Barrack Obama is in hospital with a suspected case of cholera.

Mr Malik Abong’o Obama was taken to Siaya District Hospital in Kenya’s Nyanza province suffering from diarrhea.

According to a doctor at the hospital who spoke to the Nation on condition of anonymity, it would take up to 18 hours to get the results of laboratory tests, and until then a cholera infection could not be ruled out.

But the Siaya District Medical Superintendent Jackton Omoto downplayed the matter, saying that Mr Abong’o was admitted to the hospital with ordinary diarrhea. “People should not speculate on the matter since his case is a simple diarrhea case like any other,” he said.
