Like These People do not have work to do for the “We the People” … Capitol Hill goes gaga over Brad Pitt

A note to Nancy Pelosi and the love sick DC groupies that went gaga for Brad Pitt … the real hero’s and models for our nation serve in our military and make the ultimate sacrifice every day to protect our freedoms.

“We the People” have an economy that is tanking, a stock market that is at a 12 year low and looks to be heading south of 6000,  Blue Chip stocks trading as penny stocks, and a Democratic controlled government that continues to spend, spend and spend in the nail of pork barrel bail outs driving the economy even further into the abyss.

As We the People see the economy tank, Pelosi and crew yuck it up with the beautiful people

With all this going on and as they claim America near catastrophe some how or another the Capitol and school girl Nancy Pelosi gets all giddy because Brad Pitt came to Capitol Hill. Are you serious? Law makers and their staffs going gaga for Pitt? Isn’t this special, Hollywood stars getting preferential treatment. So much for “We the People,” I guess in DC it just matters who the people are. This is ultimately why there is such a disconnect these days. Politicians have stopped caring about serving the people and care more about who they can get a photo-op next to.

From the moment he stepped into the Capitol on Thursday, sunglassed and goateed, Pitt’s star power transformed congressional business-as-usual in a way any lawmaker or new president might envy.

“Nice face. Waaaay too skinny,” one Senate source e-mailed on condition of anonymity after catching sight of the actor between meetings with lawmakers about helping rebuild New Orleans.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was not immune to his charms. Praising Pitt for his work to rebuild New Orleans’ hurricane-ravaged 9th Ward, she even allowed that meeting him affords her “bragging rights to my children and my grandchildren – a real treat for me as well.”

Brad Pitt leaves lawmakers (briefly) speechless

Do you know how many individuals, “We the People” have made a difference in New Orleans, across America and the world and never get any such treatment? Does Nancy Pelosi thank and treat every hero in America like this?

Having Pitt around, said a grinning Pelosi, was “a real treat for me,” because he was “a real hero for the people of New Orleans , a real model for the nation.”

Honestly, who cares if it was Brad Pitt who showed up in Washington, DC or Brad Smith? Isn’t this what has become wrong with politicians and Washington? Hollywood stars have access and preferential treatment, while Joe Six Pack is left high and dry.

Funny isn’t it. Brad PITT to the Rescue of the White House ……..The Scary thing is They will not only listen to him, but make him a Ambassador. Why Not? Maybe the Govt finds these Great Minded Hollywood Stars – Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Sean Penn not Pretty enough to be on the Govt Post Card. GAG Me – All of them. If all of them gave 2 percent of their income – they could heal and start the end of Poverty in the US. They keep reaching out to 3rd World Countries as If the USA had no issues. Many starving, Homeless Children in their Backyard. I know they have aided in rebuilding New Orleans .. I commend them for that. I find it hard to respect these people. If your going do a deed – just Do it. Make it happen – Do not make a Production.
Giving Props to One who deserves it- Mr Danny Thomas – A man that was a STAR that started a Legacy that has helped countless people even after his death. St. Judes Hospital. The Hollywood STARS of today are so over paid and given so much money its insane. Arrrr. Does not even make sense. As my one friend says – The Haves and Have Nots ..are what we have become.
The Bread keeps getting thicker and the Butter ever so lean.

Nothing like a little “eye candy” to brighten a girl’s day.

I love Brad Pitt the actor but I despise the fact that Pitt as well as Clooney act as if they really know anything aboutu politics. You want to help people out Clooney and Pitt? Give some of those MULTI-millions of dollars you have to those who need it.

The economy is in shambles and they invite these CLOWNS to DC. Unreal!
