House & Senate Pass $798 Billion Stimulus Bill … WORKERS GET $13 MORE A WEEK!!!

When is a stimulus bill not a stimulus bill? When its a $789 billion airmark, pork barrel Democratic spending plan that provides tax breaks to workers of $13 a week. Obama, the House and the Senate had an opportunity to provide a real jolt and “stimulus” to the American economy and instead they rammed a spending bill down the throats of American who’s great, great grand children will be paying off. Such an important piece of legislation that affects all Americans and the GOP was shut out of the discussion.

Q: What are some of the tax breaks in the bill?

A: It includes Obama’s signature “Making Work Pay” tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 — or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama’s original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers’ paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.

There is also a $70 billion, one-year fix for the alternative minimum tax. The fix would save some 20 million mainly upper-middle-income taxpayers about $2,000 in taxes for 2009.

Sexting has once again reared its ugly head, this time in the Bay State. Sexting has now made it to a Falmouth, MA middle school where six male students between the ages of 12 and 14 could now face child porn charges after a boy took a nude photo of his 13 year old girlfriend and “sexted” it to his pals’ cell phones. I guess we should ask the 6 youths whether they think sending the naked pic of a 13 year old girl is such a fun idea now?

According to the Cape Cod Times the incident took place with students of the Lawrence School in Falmouth, MA.

Police Treating Disappearance of Missing Haleigh Cummings as an Abduction … Texas EquuSearch to Help in Search Efforts

5 year old Haleigh Cummings has been missing since Monday night, February 9, 2009 from her father’s mobile home in Satsuma, FL approximately 70 miles north of Orlando. Her father, Ronald Cummings, discovered her missing when he returned home from work at about 3 AM Tuesday morning.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is now treating the disappearance of  Haleigh Cummings as a kidnapping or abduction as they states that the 5 year old did not wander away from home there is no evidence that she was in the area.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Major Gary Bowling says there’s no longer any reason to believe Haleigh wandered away. Bowling says there’s no evidence of Haleigh near her home.

Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Gary Bowling stated that the police must “assume abduction.  All the answers to why you’d want to take a 5-year-old are ugly.” 

Family Releases New Pictures of Haleigh Cummings

I received a phone call last night from Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch that he was in Florida at the request of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office to help search for missing Haleigh Cummings. Tim Miller stated that he arrived in Florida on Wednesday and would meet with the Sheriff’s office to map out a plan of action. Florida members of TES will be assembled as well as TES members will drive and fly in to begin search efforts. Tim Miller stated, “we must find this missing girl”.

A-Rod Admits Steroid Use … More so Regrets He Got Caught … Now Midel Tejada in Trouble with Feds

So “A-Roid” admits that he took performance enhancing drugs in an attempt to justify the ridiculous contract he signed with Texas Rangers. Joe Torre was right … he really is “A-Fraud”.

Alex “A-Roid” Rodriguez admitted his use of performance enhancing drugs in an exclusive interview with Peter Gammons and ESPN. Rodriguez’s admission was that he used performance enhancing drugs when he came to the Texas Rangers because he felt pressure to perform and it was a different culture.

His voice shaking at times, Alex Rodriguez met head-on allegations that he tested positive for steroids six years ago, telling ESPN on Monday that he did take performance-enhancing drugs while playing for the Texas Rangers during a three-year period beginning in 2001.

“When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day,” Rodriguez told ESPN’s Peter Gammons in an exclusive interview in Miami Beach, Fla.

Honestly, having been outed A-Rod had no choice but to throw himself at the mercy of the court … in this case the court of baseball fan public opinion. He had to make an apology and sound sincere, he really had no choice in the matter. Was it the right thing to do, yes … should we believe him … who knows. It’s just another sad day for MLB.

One thing is for certain, any thought that MLB or baseball fans had that a new clean and untainted HR king would pass Barry Bonds is out the window. The thought was that Barry “Balco” Bonds would be surpassed by a clean ball player worthy of the honor of HR King. It would appear that Hammering Hank Aaron will be the real HR King forever. According to the numbers below, HR and slugging production was much higher during his Texas years, go figure.

Why with the public there for Caylee did the family need to provide more drama and reference the name of Casey Anthony?

As thousands attended and looked on at the Caylee Anthony Memorial yesterday, they were presented with beautiful music and heart felt comments regarding little Caylee. Thankfully, there were no protesters, no news conferences, no bounty hunters stealing the spotlight. Just as everything was going too perfectly … WHAM!!! The Anthony’s had to provide drama where none was needed … cryptic messages from Lee Anthony and the obligatory Anthony family defense of indicted tot mom Casey.

What was up with Lee Anthony’s code talk? Is Lee the new Shango? Was it really appropriate for the Anthony family to interject Casey’s name and ask anyone for forgiveness? The public was there to remember Caylee, not Casey.

Casey’s brother, Lee Anthony, said his family is “incomplete” and the loss of Caylee has left him broken. He spoke in defense of his jailed sister.

AMBER ALERT Issued 5 Year Old Haleigh Cummings Missing North of Orlando, FL in Putnam County

An AMBER ALERT has been issued for missing 5 year old Haleigh Cummings in Florida. Haleigh Cummings was last seen on Monday night, February 9, 2009 at approximately 10 pm when Misty Croslin, the girlfriend of Haleigh Cummings’ father put 5 year old Haleigh to bed. Haleigh Cummings is missing from a rural area of Florida about 70 miles north of Orlando in Hermus Cove in Satsuma in Putnam County. Do we have another Caylee Anthony case on our hands or a Jessica Lunsford abduction?

In is presently unclear whether Haleigh Cummings was abducted as the trailer where she lives had no signs of forced entry but a back door was ajar. Ronald Cummings, Haleigh’s father said that she was missing when he returned home from work around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Police have not stated whether the father or the girlfriend are suspects in the disappearance of 5 year old Haleigh Cummings; however, they have been questioned by authorities.

Ronald Cummings, who is in his 20s, was working Monday night for a company that builds bridges, and his girlfriend, Misty Croslin, 17, woke up and realized Haleigh was missing just before he returned home about 3:30 a.m., according to Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.Croslin alerted authorities while Ronald Cummings began to search for his daughter.

He was soon joined by 130 officers from several law-enforcement agencies with bloodhounds and helicopters. The double-wide trailer on Green Lane where Haleigh lived with her father, Croslin and a 2-year-old brother showed no sign of forced entry, according to Lt. Johnny Greenwood of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. A back door was ajar, sheriff’s Capt. Steve Rose said.

Search for Missing Haleigh Cummings

An intensive search in on Tuesday evening in the northwestern section of Florida as authorities look for a missing 5-year old Putnam County girl. Officials have used helicopters in the air, as well as blood hounds on the ground, as they methodically searched the banks of the nearby St. Johns River. Putnam County Sheriffs Investigator John Merchant says a decision was made early on in this missing case to deploy a massive amount of manpower to scour the area as much as possible to find the little girl.

UPDATE I: Police, divers search neighborhood for Florida girl

Officers from local, state and federal agencies and K-9 teams scoured the neighborhood. Check points were set up at the entrance to the neighborhood to search departing vehicles. Two dive teams explored the St. Johns River. Neighbors and family members also were being interviewed by detectives.

CALLER: I just woke up and my back door was all open and I can’t find my daughter.

CALLER: My daughter.

DISPATCH: Ok. How old is your daughter?

CALLER: She’s 5.

DISPATCH: OK. What was she last seen wearing, Ma’am?

CALLER: She was in her pajamas. We were sleeping.

DISPATCH: OK. Alright, you said your back door was wide open?

CALLER: Yes, with a brick. Like, there was a brick on the floor. Like, when I went to sleep the door was not like that.

DISPATCH: Was your back door locked do you know?

CALLER: Yes. The back door always

stays locked.

FATHER: I just got home from work, my 5-year-old daughter is gone. I need someone to be here now. I’m telling you. If I find whoever has my daughter before you all do, I’m killing him. I don’t care. I’ll spend the rest of my life in prison.

Caylee Anthony Memorial … 2005 – 2008 … May She Rest in Peace … To All, Please Respect This Child Today

This morning at 10 AM the Memorial to Caylee Anthony, the 2 year old Orlando little girl who captured so many hearts across America and a far will begin. Caylee is already with her Father, Lord and Saviour; however, maybe this memorial might provide some closure for the many faceless strangers in the public captivated by Caylee.

I would say to the Anthony family, in as much as I have questioned your motives and actions in protecting Casey rather than provide justice for Caylee, I do grieve with you. Cindy, George, Lee … you have an opportunity to make it right. Please do so. I would also ask the others who have exploited this case and little Caylee to have a heart today. Whether you are having a competing memorial or are twisted enough to actually protest a little girls memorial for the publicity just remember God is watching and there will come a day that you will have to answer for your actions.

Today is about Caylee Anthony, not Casey, not Cindy, George, Lee, Kid Finders, Leonard Padilla or the media. If any of them make it about themselves then shame on them.
