Exclusive to Scared Monkeys – A Response from Giltod… Stateside…

As a result of the Todd Black/Gil Cabot outing party on Nancy Grace last night, an inside source forwarded Blink an email sent to them directly from “Giltod”, the PR rep formerly known as:

Subject: LEGAL NOTICE

A tabloid style television program committed a libelous act by falsely stating that attorney Jose Baez hired an ex-felon to handle P.R. and they ill have to answer to that slander when served with a lawsuit.

Legal Notice is hereby given that Press Corps Media Stateside will not tolerate outright lies and damaging innuendo disseminated about our company by the media.

Gil Cabot sold his company in 1996 and we merged our Canada office with a media marketing group to expand our services in 2003, and the fact that Mr. Cabot was retained as a consultant has no bearing on our contracted
clients.  We assign security names for insurance and security purposes, as with “Todd Black” – a security name which has been used in rotation by three different staff members on this case, and whether Mr. Cabot also
participated in that rotation makes no difference whatsoever.

Press Corps Media is paid by a family who took an interest in the case, and is not paid by Mr. Baez.  Our services are of no major consequence to this case.  We simply answer media calls, provide information and/or arrange
interviews.  Our services are an important, but minor part of assisting attorneys with coordinating events and scheduling.  Even when often dealing with extreme bias from some newspeople, we have always been courteous and
respectful to everyone, and we will continue our professional conduct as this case moves to trial.

Stateside Division
(TBPTSC-Ontario)

-end of email-

My favorite.. “Our services are of NO MAJOR CONSEQUENCE TO THIS CASE..” OMFG is he lucid? I dunno sounds like giving unlicensed legal advice to me.

runner up..  “we have always been courteous and respectful to everyone..” Take it from one of the “Tabloid Tramps” on your rolodex- er, not so much.

OMG!! blink, you did it now. i say go get ‘em blink and anyone else who knows the truth about these charlatans!

This guy is operating under the assumption of Free Speech as indicated in the statement from Peter Tillman to the Bar. His “FREE” speech is going to end up costing him plenty.

Here’s why Baez will end up sanctioned or worse over this:

He publicly pledged support to Black as a member of his firm (non-practicing). If he KNEW he was an imposter, than he had assumptive responsibility to warn his Client his association might become known and might impair his counsel or her case.

If you buy that ” O he was just walkin down Orange Avenue and said like, “Wouldnt it be funny if I tell everyone Im your PR rep, cause who the eff will care when they are bathing in their c-notes?” And BTW, dont ask if TB is my realname or the initials for tuberculosis which you will wish you had till I get done..

Regardless of anything else going on, the second this guy was “outed”, as Casey’s representation, Baez had a ethical and legal responsibility to inform his client that his association with the guy could be injurious to her, his effectiveness, and possible public potential jurors. If he does not have a signed waiver indicating same, FOLLOWING her consultation with an independent attorney, he is, in a word:
      T O A S T.

Outstanding job Blink34. Gil Cabot is a nut. Attorney Jose Baez, should stop this guy. Before he destroys what is left of his credibility.

      This is my favorite part:

and whether Mr. Cabot also participated in that rotation makes no difference whatsoever.

So basically it’s none of the public’s business if they use fictitious names that may have also be assigned to criminals!

But then, look at the world we live in. Tax cheat head the US Treasury, #2 guy in HUD breaks Public Records Act and receives largest fine ever, Secretary of State appointment is illegal by the constitution and the US Congress thinks going on a trillion dollar spending spree would be a fun idea.

“No bigger success story out of Hillsborough High.”

I am willing to put money on the fact that Hillsborough High had a couple of bigger success stories better than an old washed up loser
      ex-felon.

My favorite part is that he is sending emails back and forth to himself………..just like Casey did when she was pretending to have a job.

LOL could these people get any more circus like then they are..the clown car has got to be full to brimming by now.

It is so obvious that this company is simply GC sitting in his apartment with a PC and a fax machine. Kinda reminds me of the whole Kindfinders setup. Geez!

    11. Blink34 on February 4th, 2009 10:17 pm

Lol. I have a confession, I interviewed people that have met, and been around this guy..

When I say the skeevemeter was off the chart, that is an understatement.

He is gum on our collective shoes, but I think we are in the home stretch..

Blink, I believe you are the smartest sleuth I have ever encountered. I used to read over at WS and I always admired your skills, but you have outdone your own self with this.

    13. Vegas on February 5th, 2009 1:12 am

Somewhere in all this there is a contract for her life story. This is funding her defense.

They “arrange interviews”. Does that mean they negotiate fees?

This “media company” handling the highest profile case of the year doesn’t even have a website.

      Follow the $$$

Blink!!!! Did Press Corps. Media just threaten a lawsuit???HAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHAAAA!!!!That would be awesome!!! Then the parties they sue could have “discovery” of the so-called benefactor family in CT and a whole bunch of other really private Press Corps Media facts, information, and documents! Gotta love the law. Go for it Press Corps, you idiots.
That e-mail was absurd. Don’t they have a legal department?

    15. Red Ranger on February 12th, 2009 6:26 pm

Hey Blink, I reckon I smell what you’re cookin’.

Here is the part I have an issue with about his response.

“Press Corps Media is paid by a family who took an interest in the case, and is not paid by Mr. Baez.”

I reckon that they were not paid by the Pope or Manson family either but who cares who did not pay them? The original question was more about who IS paying them. I notice that he did not say that he was not paid by a secretary at a shell corp. owned by Baez or the lovely Mrs. Baez.

When you get sued, can you ask, at deposition time, who paid them? Could you also ask if the family that took an interest in footing the bills are related to the Giltod family? And since JB fired him and got a new mouthpiece, what world leader or A-list Hollywood star is he now stumbling and bumbling for?

And last, He feels that the media is biased toward him? I find the media to be relatively fair to those who answer questions openly and honestly. Especially if there is no cloak and dagger secrecy angle to the answers. I reckon him lambasting them about unfair treatment will make ‘em cover it all in sugar from now on…Not.

      Word to him and them.
