Nice timing Waxman … Congressman declares war on Global Warming day before coldest day of the year.
California Democratic US Representative Henry Waxman awaits the opening of the news Congress so that he can rush in to have the first hearings on global warming as he said, “he will move ‘quickly and decisively’ to push legislation curbing greenhouse gases with a goal of passing climate legislation out of his committee before Memorial Day”. Let’s hope Henry’s car starts this morning with record low temps across the US so that he can get to work.
It reminds me of a scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where Sir Galahad the Pure asks for just a little peril, and in this case would be warming.
Sir Lancelot: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Sir Galahad: I don’t think I was.
Sir Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Sir Lancelot: No, it’s too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it’s my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Sir Lancelot: No, we’ve got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.

“Our environment and our economy depend on congressional action to confront the threat of climate change and secure our energy independence,” said Waxman. “U.S. industries want to invest in a clean energy future, but uncertainties about whether, when and how greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced is deterring these vital investments.”
Waxman’s timing also harkens back to January 2004 when Al Gore took to the podium in Manhattan’s Beacon Theater today to blasted President Bush for contributing to “global warming” on the coldest day in a decade in New York City.
One may not want to make comments regarding global warming when its 11 degree wind chills in Atlanta, GA and when the Deep South woke up to temperatures in the low teens. Chicago, Ill is experiencing sub-zero weather and windchills in the -50’s. The state of Maine may have just set a new record low as Big Black River, ME bottomed out at -50 degrees.

Roy Kronk is very appreciative to Mark NeJame for his generous gift of $5,000. Apparently, Mr. NeJame received $5,000 for his earlier involvement in the case and has decided that since Roy did find Caylee, the money should appropriately go to him. Roy is very thankful that Mark NeJame has recognized his singular efforts in finding Caylee and hopes that this sends a message to others that kindness does exist
for people who do the right thing in life.

In the interest of disclosure, Mark Nejame is a personal friend and colleague of mine and my husband’s.
We did not start out that way, however.
I was like most, “how could you represent those people, blah blah, Don’t you know, blah blah ?..” Without going into specifics , he did represent them and very well and in my opinion was the best thing going for them and they blew it. We have been on opposite sides of a few issues, but I ended up being right on every one of them and now we are buds cause that’s how I roll.
Kidding.
Mark is an extremely bright attorney and a devoted family man; He beamed when he spoke of his children and his wife. He has old-style European charm and sincere confidence rarely found in a man with his beginnings. He is self-made, and self-aware.

Miracle on the Hudson: US Airway Plane Crashes into Hudson River … Amazing All Aboard Survive
It is being touted as The Miracle on the Hudson, a US Airways plane en route from LaGuardia Airport in NYC for Charlotte, NC crashed into the Hudson River and all 155 passengers survived and were pulled to safety. It is being reported that US Airlines Flight 1549 went down minutes after takeoff after a collision with a flock of birds apparently knocked out both engines.

A US Airways pilot ditched his disabled jetliner into the frigid Hudson River on Thursday afternoon after a collision with a flock of birds apparently knocked out both engines, but officials said rescuers pulled all 155 people on board into boats as the plane sank.
There were no immediate reports of any serious injuries.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, an experienced pilot, said it appeared the pilot did “a masterful job of landing the plane in the river and then making sure everybody got out.” And Gov. David Patterson pronounced it “a miracle on the Hudson.”
Flight 1549 went down minutes after takeoff from LaGuardia Airport for Charlotte, N.C., splashing into the river near 48th Street in midtown Manhattan.
“There were eyewitness reports the plane may have flown into a flock of birds,” said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Laura Brown. “Right now we don’t have any indication this was anything other than an accident.”

What ever happened to Johnny getting up enough nerve to ask Susie out for a date outside the cafeteria or on the phone? Enter Generation WTF, “sexting” and the complete lack of responsibility and consequences to one’s actions.
SEXTING is sadly to say the latest new trend among teens. Sexting is the act of taking a nude photo of themself or others on their cell phones and then sending the pics to others or uploading them on-line. Teens think nothing of this and look at it as if it were a joke or a way to get a hot date. There is a reason why teens are considered minors, cannot enter into a contract and until 18 cannot vote. Why does it seem that teens are getting less and less responsible? Who in their right mind would think that sending a nude pic of themselves to an individual would not wind up in the public eye on the web? Sending a photo to your boyfriend or girlfriend. Exactly how long does it take for that high school relationship to go south and the pics are on-line for all to see? Teens think that the practice of sexting is cute and fun … how about it may be a crime.
According to the national study, most teens who send sexually suggestive content send to boyfriends or girlfriends, while others say they send such material to those they want to date or hook up with or to someone they only know online.

Meter Reader Roy Kronk Defends Himself, Psychics Take Credit, Orange County Deputy Richard Cain Under Investigation … Keep your Eye on the Ball and Casey Anthony
After all the smoke clears and people stop focusing on Roy Kronk, deputy Richard Cain or even the psychic … keep your eye on the ball and put focus where it rightfully should be … Casey Anthony. Do not take your eye off the fact that Anthony family members, Cindy, George and Lee have asked for criminal immunity.
Roy Kronk, the meter reader who made the 911 call and discovered the plastic bag and the remains of Caylee Anthony has taken to the airwaves to defend himself. Kronk recounted what took place when an Orlando county deputy finally came to the scene where Kronk said he had seen a suspicious bag after making numerous calls on August 11, 12 and 13. Kronk has maintained that he had nothing to do with Caylee’s death and that he was only trying to help and bring closure to the Caylee Anthony story.
In the televised interview without his attorney, Kronk said he felt deputies were rushed and not thorough in their search for the missing girl. Kronk, 46, made three calls Aug. 11, 12 and 13, less than a month after the girl’s grandmother had reported her missing from the Chickasaw Oaks subdivision.
A deputy who had responded to the Suburban Drive area after his first call poked around the water with a metal stick then “swept his head back and forth and said, ‘I don’t see anything,’ and pretty much, that was it,” Kronk said.
“I guess the deputy didn’t want to go into the water to look at the bag,” Kronk said. “The cop was like…I would say, he was kind of rude to me.”
The meter reader, who also said he used to be a bail bondsman and bounty hunter, told Roberts he was trying to be a “nice guy” and “instead I’m catching all this [from the deputy].”
Resulting from the numerous calls to 911 and the subsequent finding of Caylee Anthony’s remains at the location called in by Roy Kronk an internal investigation has been taking place with Orlando County police. Was the wooded area that Roy Kronk called in about in August 2008 properly searched? Orlando County deputy Richard Cain was the one who investigated meter reader Roy Kronk’s tip. According to reports, Cain had previous complaints filed against him for his handling of tips. However, the reports showed that investigators considered the complaints against Deputy Richard Cain to be unsubstantiated.

The Media Bias Continues … Compare GWB’s Inauguration Cost to Obama’s Most Expensive Inauguration Ever
Change you can believe in … all $150 million of it.
Is it responsible for Barack Obama to spend this much money on an inauguration when 
the country is in such desperate economic times? Imagine if a Republican President took such a nonchalant and carefree attitude of the people’s present economic situation and had a party like this while “We the People” tried to keep a roof over our heads.
We all know that there is a liberal bias in the media and a love affair with the Left and the Democratic party. One needs to look no further than Barack “the Chosen One’s” Obama Inauguration next week. It is being billed at the most expensive ever. Where is the media outcry that this is far too costly especially for these tough economic times? If your answer is, corporations are making donations to help defer the costs … does anyone really think that such donations are free and don’t come with strings and ropes attached?
President Barack Obama’s inauguration next week is set to be the most expensive ever, predicted to reach over $150m (£102m). This dwarfs the $42.3m spent on George Bush’s inauguration in 2005 and the $33m spent on Bill Clinton’s in 1993.
However, as Newsbusters points out we can remember the media railing on GWB for his excessive spending. With the media there are obviously two sets of rules, one for Republicans, and the other for Democrats like Obama who is actually spending 3x’s the amount that GWB did and gets a free pass.

Psychic Confirms She Spoke With Dominic Casey during Video Search but Has no Phone Bill to Prove It

It had been speculated as to who was on the phone with PI Dominick Casey while he was searching the wooded ares near where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found. Ginnette Matcia Lucas, a psychic has come forward and stated that she is the one who was on the phone with Dominick Casey.
A psychic confirmed to WESH 2 News that she was on the phone with the Anthony family’s private investigator in November as he searched land near where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found.
Ginnette Matcia Lucas said Tuesday that after studying maps of the Orange County area where the Anthonys lived and holding a teddy bear that belonged to Caylee, she had that vivid dream on Nov. 15.
As psychic Ginnette Matcia Lucas described the conversation between she and Dominick Casey a funny thing happened during the questioning and discussion on The Nancy Grace Show … Ginnette Matcia Lucas could not substantiate the telephone conversation as she had no phone records to prove the call ever took place.
LUCAS: And I said, Sure, what the heck, go ahead, let`s try it. So he called down there. And I guess he had spoken with Sergeant Allen and Allen wasn`t interested. And then I guess he spoke with Dominic Casey and Dominic Casey said he was interested.
And every time I worked on it, I couldn`t get the information. So eventually, one day, I picked up the information and I called Dominic right away about 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning on the 15th. And I said, I have what I call “the fast and final.” I had some training from a former retired — now retired D.C. detective, Detective Mike Helwig (ph) of the forensics department of D.C. police, and he would always give me pointers of how to, you know, attempt to go into a crime scene and so forth. Internet Safety Technical Task Force Report Says Internet is Safe for Children Against On-Line Predators
The internet is not such a dangerous place for children and all the stories that we have heard regarding boogyman predators has been overstated. So says a reports from the Internet Safety Technical Task Force that concluded that the problem of bullying among children, both online and offline, poses a far more serious challenge than the sexual solicitation of minors by adults.
That’s right parents, according to the Internet Safety Technical Task Force the internet is safe. Let your children run free on the web as on-line predators are not an issue. How foolish a conclusion could one possible come up with. It may be that bullying is up and phishing schemes against seniors are as well; however, to say that internet predators is an over blown issue is to be naive and a dangerous commentary on the safety of children in the 21st century. Do not think for one second that the internet is not full of pedophiles.
The panel, the Internet Safety Technical Task Force, was charged with examining the extent of the threats children face on social networks like MySpace and Facebook, amid widespread fears that adults were using these popular Web sites to deceive and prey on children.
But the report concluded that the problem of bullying among children, both online and offline, poses a far more serious challenge than the sexual solicitation of minors by adults.
