Eight Year Jail Sentence for Izaan & Lorenzo for Abduction of Millionaire’s Daughter Claudia Melchers

If kidnapping charges are good enough for Izaan Moenir Alam and Lorenzo, why not Joran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoes?

An Amsterdam court has sentenced the two main suspects from Curacao, Izaan Moenir Alam and his cousin Lorenzo, to 10 and 8 years jail respectively for the abduction and kidnapping of a millionaire Hans Melchers’ daughter Claudia Melchers.

Interestingly enough, did not Joran Van der Sloot just recently admit in an interview with Greta Van Susteren that he sold Natalee Holloway to a Venezuela man for $10,000? In making such an admission, did he also not admit to kidnapping and human trafficking? So why didn’t Aruba prosecutors pursue these admissions from Joran Van der Sloot? They had no problem believing the Holiday Inn story or that Joran just left Natalee on the beach. Shouldn’t they at the very least investigate his own words and admissions? Kidnapping gets one 8 to 10 years, so Joran what did you say you did with Natalee Holloway? No matter how one looks at it, Natalee Holloway was taken from Carlos N’ Charlies and never returned to her hotel … is not that kidnapping?

Melchers was abducted from her home in Amsterdam South-East on September 12, 2005.  The kidnappers kept her in a vacation house for three days and released her in the neighbourhood of Arnhem.  The ransom was never paid.  According to the court, Izaan has definitely played a ‘leading part’ in the carrying out of the abduction.  Lorenzo was the brain behind the abduction, ‘the intellectual perpetrator’.  He was not involved in the actual carrying out of the abduction.

Is the media undermine consumer confidence and making matters worse? A recent survey seems to think so as 77% of Americans polled blamed the media for making the situation worse. The interesting question that comes to mind as stated by Red State is, could media organizations actually be held liable for the damage they have caused by such over the top reporting.

Seventy-seven percent of Americans believe that the U.S. media is making the economic situation worse by projecting fear into people’s minds.

CNN’s Classy New Year’s Eve … Kathy Griffin Says on Live TV: ‘I Don’t Come to Your Job and Knock the D*CKS Out of Your Mouth’

Thanks CNN for ringing in the New Year with such class. CNN, what exactly did you think you were getting when you put Kathy Griffin in a live setting with a live mike? You knowingly did it for the shock value and got burned. It must be a proud new year at CNN studios. Maybe next year Anderson Cooper’s co-host can be Howard Stern?

For 40+ years I have watched Dick Clark and Guy Lombardo bring in the new year and I can’t quite say I have ever seen or heard anything quite this low rent. How sad that this is what we have come to.

I guess there is a reason why Dick Clark has been hosting New Years Eve events from Time Square for some 37 years and CNN has not. CNN may want to rethink ever doing it again after this past debacle. If you missed it, CNN wished America a Happy New Year by having potty mouth, co-host Kathy Griffin say lash out at an off screen heckler and dropped the “D” word. Let’s say it rhymes with sick. It is rather appropriate that she use the “D” word as she is nothing more than a “D” list performer.

“Shut up, you know what screw you, I’m working. Why don’t you get a job buddy. You know what, I don’t come to your job and knock the D*CKS out of your mouth.”

AMBER ALERT Issued for Haley Heatwole & Hayes Heatwole Following Triple Murder in NC … Suspect Richard Doughlas Heatwole

An AMBER ALERT has been issued in Buncombe County, NC for 10 year old Haley Heatwole and 6 year old Hayes Heatwole following a triple homicide. Three people have been killed and two children were abducted following the murders. Angela Heatwole was reported her missing around 3 a.m. Thursday morning until police found Angela and another person dead inside a Candler home after they spotted her car parked outside.

Authorities have canceled the Amber Alert for Haley Heatwole and Hayes Heatwole as they no longer believe that the two children are with 45 year old Richard Doughlas Heatwole. However, Richard Doughlas Heatwoleremains on the run.

Another Overboard on Cruise Ship … Cruise Ship Worker Falls Overboard Carnival Sensation

It’s ahppened again. This time, an employee of  Carnival cruise, a member of the entertainment staff, has fallen overboard the Carnival Sensation cruise ship. The eyewitness accounts indicate that the worker clearly went overboard accidentally. What is going on with cruise ships and people not being able to stay aboard them these days? They may want to consider putting a safety net all the way around the boat like the circus does with the trapeze act. The search is underway for the missing overboard cruise ship employee.

The Coast Guard is searching for a cruise ship employee who fell overboard early Thursday off Florida’s east coast.

Six fellow employees saw the off-duty entertainment staff member fall overboard at 12:40 a.m. ET, a Carnival Cruise Lines statement said.
