Kennedy Clan Livid at NY Gov Paterson’s Treatment of Caroline Kennedy … Asked Caroline to Lie

When Kennedy’s Attack … Could Republicans take advantage in NY? Why is the Kennedy clan so appalled by political mudslinging, they have been doing it for years.

Caroline Kennedy does not get privileged treatment and the entire Kennedy clan goes into meltdown mode. The NY Post states that the Kennedy family is seething over the treatment of “Camelot Princess” Caroline and vows revenge on New York Governor David Paterson. How many times have the Kennedy’s done worse to their foe? Sadly, they expected Caroline to get special treatment throughout the process just because of her last name.

“The governor’s going to pay for this,” said a well-placed Democrat. “Ted is furious. The family is furious. The Kennedys are now against the governor.”

Among Paterson’s offenses was a request that Caroline lie about her unexpected withdrawal for “personal” reasons, according to NY magazine.

“You can’t withdraw. You’ve got to stay in this thing, and I’ll just not pick you,” Paterson reportedly told her over the phone late Wednesday.

The Other McCain writes, “Hell hath no fury like a Kennedy scorned” and he is 100% correct. The Kennedy’s will drag their minions into this fight and call in their favors to get even with Paterson on this one. Doesn’t Paterson know that all Kennedy’s are to be treated with kid gloves and it is only Kennedy’s that are allowed to treat others badly? The Ace of Spades brings up the point that it is not only the Kennedy’s that are pissed as Paterson seems to have snubbed many Democrats.

And it’s not just the Kennedy’s who are pissed that Paterson selected Kirsten Gillibrand for Hillary Clinton’s seat in the Senate. Plenty of downstate Democrats are mad and gun grabbing Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy has already vowed to primary Gillibrand in 2010.

But that rift in the party may not be Paterson’s biggest worry. Some analysts are saying that the snub of Andrew Cuomo guarantees that Mario’s son will run against Paterson himself in 2010.

What is most hypocritical of the Kennedy’s is their outrage of Caroline’s treatment. They are shocked that their princess was treated in this manner, yet the Kennedy’s have made a living out of such actions and even worse. Why should it be any different for Caroline Kennedy? What makes her so special? Politics has always been a dirty game and if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the political kitchen. This all ties back to the fact that Caroline Kennedy did nothing to deserve or earn a Senate seat and now all this comes as such an affront to her person.

      Greetings:

      “Camelot Princess” Caroline ?

Not so much; I think I’ll go with “America’s Camilla.”

It is ironic that Kennedy serving on Obama’s Vice Presidential selection committee was considered one of her primary qualifications. Her recommendation of “Crazy Uncle Joe” for VP is one which causes additional scores of Americans to pray every night for President Obama’s continued good health.

Caroline just carries a Kennedy name, that’s all.
She never even bothered to vote, no interest there. Then all of a sudden she wants to be a senator and doesn’t even know how.

She doesn’t look well, maybe anorexic. The bones in face stick out along with bones in her neck. And the interview she did was horrible. She sounded like a broken record with all her, you knows…

The NY senate seat is a Kennedy birth rite.
I remember when Clinton took the NY senate seat.
JFK jr. was so upset. Yes, Hillary was a carpet bagger.

Jr. should have ran himself. Now his sister, who should have been ignored. Got dished by the national media, and NY Governor David Paterson.

      Kirsten Gillibrand is a hotty.

The true powers-that-be are afraid Caroline may be loyal to her father and brother rather than to Teddy. They can’t risk her being in office because she may speak the truth about why her father was done in.

Well, at least we know the Kennedys are always upfront and honest, and never take advantage of their family ‘name’ or wealth.

If you don’t believe me, just ask Mary Jo Kopechne.

(Anyone else here old enough to remember Chappaquiddick?)

      #1- UB40-America’s Camilla…lol

Hell Hath no Fury like a Kennedy scorned is right—but trust us here here in Boston not everyone loves the family and we are so used to their temper tantrums & expecting the royal treatment….kind of business as usual.

#4–You are so right about Pelosi!! That woman scares the hell out of me. Really, “bad” as an adjective is an understatement.

      Ms. Caroline
When She stated publicly she was running for Senate it was like Whiplash .. WHY..then was the ” O ” Face within Political Media. It was apparent amongst many… and then HOW? How does she feel she is qualified for such position.
I have no idea why she ran, I have no idea what her intentions were to be. I am not shocked that she dropped out. I am not shocked at the finger pointing of blame. I think people need to get a bit of reality within their lives – That they actually Represent ONE person ” their own person” and not a family legacy. No Hate , but I am not shocked at all by this.
I am sure she will move on and be involved even deeper into her own works that she has carried in the past.

Ducking, the wrath of the Kennedy’s is about to begin.

      Darlings,

When discussing “The Kennedys” their name does not require an apostrophe unless you are speaking about something that belongs to them as a tribe – in which case it would follow at the end:
“The Kennedys’ name has opened doors for them time and time again”.

Or unless you are describing a possession belonging to one of the Kennedys:
“Ted Kennedy’s car is parked out front”

But the plural description of “The Kennedys” does not require an apostrophe.

      Just say’n…

      Richard,

There are a few of us old enough to remember. Teddy couldn’t do “no body no crime” so he just forgot to report the “accident” for a while. Maybe his conscience makes him drink so much!

#5: “Kirsten Gillibrand is a hotty.”

      Please – she’s a “4″ at best.

Caroline Kennedy has spent her life in the pursuit of admirable causes – raised hundreds of millions of dollars for various charities, has served on boards for the NAACP & New York City schools in two capacities, is the author of 3 books on Civil Liberties and was the editor/publisher of 3 best-selling anthologies. God forbid we have hardworking, well educated, committed Senators who are not in it to enrich themselves.

Now this may or may not qualify her for public office but the way she has chosen to lead her life has been nothing but positive.

But because she’s a Democrat Scared Monkeys takes a dump on her. How nice….

    16. ANewGirl on January 26th, 2009 11:37 pm

#15- YoYo—- You said “Now this may or may not qualify her for public office but the way she has chosen to lead her life has been nothing but positive.” To this I will agree. (Told you, I don’t always disagree w/everything you post.)

I’ve always maintained that Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy was a Class Act & remember her saying that one of the most important & valuable contributions she could make as First Lady/or that any Woman can make to society-is to do a good job raising their children. She certainly did.

I won’t bore the bloggers here with all the well known Kennedy history/facts-simply wanted to point out-that say what you will…DEM or REP…JFK, Jr. & Caroline were brought up as very normal, respectful members of a highly prominent Political family…(which is a feat in and of itself if you really think about it!) Both have led lives that are/were admirable….as you pointed out, however —did this fact alone make Caroline eligible or qualified enough for that Senate seat? Guess we’ll never know.

And, just for the record YoYo-since I realize how you love to pick every little word apart—No, I am not vascillating…the thoughts above are sincere.

    17. yoyo muffintop on January 27th, 2009 12:35 am

New Girl – I believe your thoughts are sincere.
I agree with you – wealth and family name does not immediately exclude someone from altruism and service.

      Go Cardinals!
Take AZ on the money line – you’ll thank me later

    18. Richard on January 27th, 2009 10:57 am

Giving your name to charity work is a frequently seen first step to going on to other things.

To the extent that she has actually accomplished something, of course it’s admirable … but how much of the work did she do, and how much of the credit did she reap in an effort to cultivate her image?

    19. Mary UK on January 27th, 2009 4:24 pm

Was Ted Kennedy not involved in the death(drowning) of a young woman, and a cousin in prison for murder !!!!!! as a Brit i JUST DONT GET the “love affair” Americans have with this lot???

#18: “how much of the work did she do, and how much of the credit did she reap in an effort to cultivate her image?”
You could just “google” it yourself I suppose…or you could go the cynical route as always. Cynical route it is.
