Can’t we have just a little warming? Democrat Rep. Henry Waxman Says He will move “quickly and decisively” to push legislation curbing greenhouse gases (Global Warming)

Nice timing Waxman … Congressman declares war on Global Warming day before coldest day of the year.

California Democratic US Representative Henry Waxman awaits the opening of the news Congress so that he can rush in to have the first hearings on global warming as he said, “he will move ‘quickly and decisively’ to push legislation curbing greenhouse gases with a goal of passing climate legislation out of his committee before Memorial Day”. Let’s hope Henry’s car starts this morning with record low temps across the US so that he can get to work.

It reminds me of a scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where Sir Galahad the Pure asks for just a little peril, and in this case would be warming.

Sir Lancelot: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.
Sir Galahad: I don’t think I was.
Sir Lancelot: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Sir Galahad: Look, let me go back in there and face the peril.
Sir Lancelot: No, it’s too perilous.
Sir Galahad: Look, it’s my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.
Sir Lancelot: No, we’ve got to find the Holy Grail. Come on.
Sir Galahad: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?

“Our environment and our economy depend on congressional action to confront the threat of climate change and secure our energy independence,” said Waxman. “U.S. industries want to invest in a clean energy future, but uncertainties about whether, when and how greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced is deterring these vital investments.”

Waxman’s timing also harkens back to January 2004 when Al Gore took to the podium in Manhattan’s Beacon Theater today to blasted President Bush for contributing to “global warming” on the coldest day in a decade in New York City.

One may not want to make comments regarding global warming when its 11 degree wind chills in Atlanta, GA and when the Deep South woke up to temperatures in the low teens. Chicago, Ill is experiencing sub-zero weather and windchills in the -50’s. The state of Maine may have just set a new record low as Big Black River, ME bottomed out at -50 degrees.

This confirms it for me, our leaders know that we have no power over them and they are just mocking us. They are in there own little play world and compete with one another for our money.

So if there is no such thing as global warming…then where are the polar caps going? Disney Land?

I know that you will not believe this Wolf but there has been no decrease in polar caps from 10 years ago. None. Climate change directly matches changes in solar activity. Human activity has an unknown effect, but what ever it is does not change the correlation with solar. An inconvenient fact which no one denies is that the earth was much warmer 2000 years ago than today. No one disputes this. There was an increase during the ’90s but it stopped. Even at that rate, it would take more than 200 years to reach the warm temps of 2000 years ago…JS

Are you guys so into ruining the environment ?
The best thing the US can do is show the rest of he world that they are more than interested in the Environment. Hopefully the days are gone where the interests of Halliburton take preference.
I for one look forward to the rest of the world once again looking up to the US as path finders on environmental issues, world peace, global economy, medical help not only for those with money.
Why this sick cynical “its cold today, global warming is obviously a lie” ?
Who are you trying to impress ?

“Saving the environment” is the way the powers-that-be have come up with to destroy the US economy. We will all soon have to pay a carbon footprint tax. Waxman has sold out to the globalists.

These people are all working for Satan. If they ever read the word of God, then they’d know that God will burn up the earth. The earth can’t be saved.

Hey Brad, go tell it to China and Russia. World pollution leaders. US has no control over them, why don’t you take the lead?

For a list of 650 international scientists from around the globe who dispute the man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Al Gore, look at the U.S. Senate Minority Report updated on 12/22/2008:

For a petition signed by over 31,000 American scientists who dispute man-caused global warming, see this website: http://www.oism.org/pproject/

      There is no scientific consensus.

Also, the arctic ice caps increased by 30% in 2008. More inconvenient facts for the global warming crowd.

“According to collated data from the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the University of Illinois, Arctic ice extent was 30 per cent greater on August 11, 2008 than it was on the August 12, 2007.”

      you are making stuff up.

For the first time in human history, the North Pole can be circumnavigated

Melting ice opens up North-west and North-east passages simultaneously. Scientists warn Arctic icecap is entering a ‘death spiral’

Open water now stretches all the way round the Arctic, making it possible for the first time in human history to circumnavigate the North Pole, The Independent on Sunday can reveal. New satellite images, taken only two days ago, show that melting ice last week opened up both the fabled North-west and North-east passages, in the most important geographical landmark to date to signal the unexpectedly rapid progress of global warming.
