Meter Reader Roy Kronk Defends Himself, Psychics Take Credit, Orange County Deputy Richard Cain Under Investigation … Keep your Eye on the Ball and Casey Anthony

After all the smoke clears and people stop focusing on Roy Kronk, deputy Richard Cain or even the psychic … keep your eye on the ball and put focus where it rightfully should be … Casey Anthony. Do not take your eye off the fact that Anthony family members, Cindy, George and Lee have asked for criminal immunity.

Roy Kronk, the meter reader who made the 911 call and discovered the plastic bag and the remains of Caylee Anthony has taken to the airwaves to defend himself. Kronk recounted what took place when an Orlando county deputy finally came to the scene where Kronk said he had seen a suspicious bag after making numerous calls on August 11, 12 and 13. Kronk has maintained that he had nothing to do with Caylee’s death and that he was only trying to help and bring closure to the Caylee Anthony story.

In the televised interview without his attorney, Kronk said he felt deputies were rushed and not thorough in their search for the missing girl. Kronk, 46, made three calls Aug. 11, 12 and 13, less than a month after the girl’s grandmother had reported her missing from the Chickasaw Oaks subdivision.

A deputy who had responded to the Suburban Drive area after his first call poked around the water with a metal stick then “swept his head back and forth and said, ‘I don’t see anything,’ and pretty much, that was it,” Kronk said.

“I guess the deputy didn’t want to go into the water to look at the bag,” Kronk said. “The cop was like…I would say, he was kind of rude to me.”

The meter reader, who also said he used to be a bail bondsman and bounty hunter, told Roberts he was trying to be a “nice guy” and “instead I’m catching all this [from the deputy].”

Resulting from the numerous calls to 911 and the subsequent finding of Caylee Anthony’s remains at the location called in by Roy Kronk an internal investigation has been taking place with Orlando County police. Was the wooded area that Roy Kronk called in about in August 2008 properly searched? Orlando County deputy Richard Cain was the one who investigated meter reader Roy Kronk’s tip. According to reports, Cain had previous complaints filed against him for his handling of tips. However, the reports showed that investigators considered the complaints against Deputy Richard Cain to be unsubstantiated.

The sheriff’s office is conducting an internal investigation into the incident, but reports requested by the media show Cain was accused of failing to properly investigate a threatening phone call in 2007, and a similar complaint was made against him in 2006.

The sheriff’s office said at the time the complaints were unfounded.

After psychic Ginnette Matcia Lucas came forward and stated she was the individual on the other end of the line talking to PI Dominck Casey a funny thing happened to the story … it lost credibility. It appears that there are no phone records to substantiate the story. Does the psychic have a credibility issue as discussed on Nancy Grace 1/14/09?

GRACE: And to top it all off, the psychic who claims to have been on the phone with the Anthonys` private eye when he`s this close to Caylee`s remains is now under credibility attack.

What about it, Kathi Belich?

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: Well, we got a call after your show last night from a woman in Virginia, who says when her niece was murdered almost 20 years ago, she and her sister, the victim`s mother, went to psychic Ginnette Lucas for some help, paid her about $5,000, and got very useless information in return.

As Nancy graces pointed out it is a domino chain of credibility.

NANCY GRACE, HOST: The Anthonys` private investigator is there at the scene with little Caylee`s remains weeks before cops were alerted to the remains. Why? Now, the woman who says she was the one on the phone who directed him to the scene is under credibility attack.

It`s a domino chain here. If her credibility falls, then the P.I.`s credibility falls. Then the Anthonys` credibility falls. Then the tot mom`s credibility falls.

Let`s talk about the attack of the credibility of the psychic. Back to Kathi Belich with WFTV.

Kathi, put it in a nutshell for me. Who is attacking her credibility and why?

UPDATE I: PSYCHIC’S CREDIBILITY QUESTIONED AMID CLAIMS SHE TALKED WITH P.I.

WFTV reporter Kathi Belich talked to a family member from another murder mystery 20 years ago who said psychic Ginette Lucas took her money and gave her useless information in return.

Lucas said she was the one directing the Anthonys’ private investigator, Dominic Casey, on the phone in November, but the man who shot the video said Mr. Casey never mentioned a psychic and was secretive about his numerous phone calls.

“She makes you feel like you’re her best friend until the money runs out,” Mary Thweatt told Eyewitness News.

Leave Mr. Kronk alone! He has done nothing wrong. This is why some people don’t want to get involved with trying to help. If the deputy had done a better job of searching the area back when he called in August (3 times) they may have found the remains earlier. If not for Roy’s persistence she may have never been found. Casey Anthony is the one responsible and she’s the one that should be under the microscope, not the meter reader. GEESH

#2 is on point. Exactly what I believe.

All Eyes are on Casey Anthony. As to how much her enabling family knew from the first day Caylee went missing—doubt we’ll ever get the whole story and the real truth or timeline out of them either. They know their butts are on the line which is why they lawyered up months ago.

This 3-ring circus will all be put to rest the day a Judge and Jury deliver the guilty verdicts on all counts.

      **Justice for Caylee Anthony****

Will someone please put to rest the remains of this innocent Baby girl?????

    3. BUN on January 15th, 2009 11:28 am

Just when I think this whole case is as weird and convoluted as possible, some other crazy thing or person enters stage right. I know the defense is delighted with all the distractions…bottom line remains Casey killed her little Caylee, little sunshine girl!!

    4. Susan on January 15th, 2009 11:40 am

It was reported last night on CNN that Roy Kronk owes $10,000 in back child support (arrears). That alone is enough land Kronk some jail time, along with his wages being garnished.

What really gave me the creeps about Kronk was his remark to the 911 dispatcher – when he did not want to disclose his identity. If you’ve got nothing to hide, why request anonymity? Anyway, the remark he made that really disgusted me was (as he chuckled) “not if they find a freaking dead body”, referring to Caylee. Caylee is not “a freaking dead body”!! Okay, maybe I’m being a little sensitive, but geez, Caylee’s remains were not a freaking slab of meat… Kronk could have shown a little more respect for the dead. And there was NOTHING funny about finding a dead body!

    5. scott on January 15th, 2009 12:03 pm

Susan – get the F OFF Kronk! Please. He has put it ALL out there. You are a loon!

    6. Susan on January 15th, 2009 12:14 pm

scottie boy or are you Roy Kronk, himself?

There you go again, getting all bent out of shape when I state facts, as well as my own personal observations in reference to your “hero”, Roy Kronk. I can’t help it if CNN or their sources are digging up trash on Kronk.

Why resort to calling me names again? I don’t call you names after reading your comments, not unless you start slinging ‘em first. Well, I’m a better person, and I won’t stooped to your level this time :-)

I don’t care if you like what I have to say or not about Kronk. He is a CREEP!! If you don’t like what I have to say, you don’t have to read my comments nor should you respond by calling me names. Got it?

      michelle
im with u … on this leave the meter reader alone.. if the detectives … there needs to be a thorough investigation… they are trying to get themselves not to look so inept….

    8. misskatie on January 15th, 2009 12:36 pm

      Scott
we wont always agree on everything… susan has a right to voice her concerns and suspicions as much as you or I anyone else does.. we shouldnt get nasty with eachother.. this is just a place where we come because we care about what has happened to this innocent child we are her voice… she was too young and vulnerable to protect herself from the evil that befell her at the hands of the mother or so called mother and sickly dysfunctional family members. we can agree to disagree…

dont take my comment as an insult scotty or an pun towards you.. these are sensetive issues we are dealing with… alot of tempers flare alot of emotions and sadness… we all want justice … I myself think she should get the needle for this.. and that the grandparents and brother should be held accountable.. but than again I am sure that not everyone else agrees with me and thats ok… I can accept that…

    9. scott on January 15th, 2009 12:39 pm

And BTW, the fact the he owes ONLY $10K in child support has NOTHING to do with this case PERIOD!

    10. Richard on January 15th, 2009 12:47 pm

Does anyone get the feeling that the national media are trying to squeeze every last drop out of this story? They report on what a psychic says, and then on the fact that the psychic’s credibility is being questioned …. How much more do we need?

Does it matter whether a psychic’s credibility is being questioned (putting aside the question of whether you believe in psychics anyway)?

    11. scott on January 15th, 2009 12:48 pm

Susan – the facts you are stating are pure bs!

He HAS disclosed EVERYTHING, including the fact that he was the one who made the calls in August. Why don’t you state the facts that after the first call the police officer basically brushed him off. He made himself available that FIRST TIME! Why didnt the police officer get his name? The police KNOW all this stuff on him that CNN reporting. How do you think CNN probably or any other news org get their info? Most likely from a police informant…it happens all the time..

Why do you think you know more than the police? You don’t. They don’t find anything wrong with Kronk!

Like I said you twinkie eating soap opera probably in need of a gastric by passs, his PAST transgressions have nothing to with his role in this. It just doesn’t and that eats at you because you are one of these conspiracy nuts that probably think our government was behind 9/11! Now if he had a past of being a child predator that would be a different story!

Oh and BTW, what the **** are you going to do about it if I do call you a loon? NADA and you know it so 3MTA3!

BTW, you aren’t the better person. Who are you to judge this man! You don’t know him. Only GOD can judge him! Karma is MotherF***** and it will come back to bite you on the a$$ no doubt!

    12. john staton on January 15th, 2009 12:50 pm

In most instances if you can intervene in a situation and remain unknown to the the parties involved you are much better off. This is especially true of you use force to stop a violent crime. Do then split with speed or you run the risk of being arrested yourself and you will also face the prospect of having a lawsuit filed against you by the perp. In the case above everything about your life will be put for public view. Look what happened to “Joe the Plumber” who asked a question..JS

    13. Michelle S in MS on January 15th, 2009 1:00 pm

      Susan

Roy Kronk said the reason he didn’t want to give his name is because he is a employee of the County and he didn’t want to get involved if they did in fact find a body. I can understand his feelings on that. He has nothing to do with Caylee’s murder or the disposal of her body, he was just trying to do the right thing by calling in a suspicious item or items. He has nothing to hide. Him owing back child support has nothing to do with him calling in a tip to the police. Nobody said the man was squeaky clean but he is not in any way responsible for what happened to Caylee. The call he made to 911 that you are referring to where chuckles about “if they find a body” if you listen to the recordings you can see that he’s getting frustrated that he’s not being taken seriously and it could possibly be a nervous chuckle of having to give his name to L.E. I don’t feel there is any reason to suspect Roy Kronk of any wrong doing in this case. I respect your opinions but I don’t know why you believe he’s a creep. He seems like a very nice person. He didn’t have to call the first time but he called three times in August and again in December when they finally came out an investigated and found the remains.

    14. ANewGirl on January 15th, 2009 1:26 pm

Not to jump on the bandwagon, Susan

but as many of us have stated before—Kronk is cleared of any wrong-doing. If it wasn’t for his persistence, maybe that little girl never would have been found.

Keep the focus on the guilty- CASEY ANTHONY

and her aiding and abetting family who tried to play LE as fools. They know much more than they have divulged to the press, and purposely leaked what info they did at the time for a reason. Casey Anthony will never tell what really happened, and her family all lied for the b****.

Get off Kronk, get back to reality, Sorry.

    15. yoyo muffintop on January 15th, 2009 2:05 pm

This is rich – people rabidly supporting a person who:
      1. Is a deadbeat dad and should be serving felony time in prison for it.
      2. Is profiting off Caylee’s death
      3. Is an accused kidnapper (haven’t heard the other side of the story. Might be a bit different than Mr Kronk’s)

    16. Michelle S in MS on January 15th, 2009 2:26 pm

      YoYo

You are full of it. He was never charged of any crime, he was acquitted of those charges. How is he profiting off Caylee’s death? I don’t recall him making a dime off this. I will not argue with you about the fact that he owes child support but that has nothing to do with this case. He did the right thing by calling in the suspicious item to the police. Nobody said the man was perfect but he does not have anything to do with the murder and subsequent disposal of Caylee’s remains. Lay off the guy.

Do you ever agree with anything or are you one of those unhappy people who just want to criticize others to make yourself feel better?

    17. Eagle Eye on January 15th, 2009 2:57 pm

I was watching Nancy Grace last night with my girlfriend and this was her question about RK; Why didn’t he make the deputy go look at the bag? Why didn’t he say, “Hey man, I think I saw a skull down there, you need to go look at that bag.”

I didn’t have an answer for her other than that he just didn’t want to get that involved in case the suspicion came back on him.

Do you guys think that was a good reponse?

    18. yoyo muffintop on January 15th, 2009 3:00 pm

Michelle – Mr Kronk was paid (I believe $30,000 dollars) for “licensing” of a photo by GMA. That is a fact.

Mr Kronk was charged with kidnapping – he appeared in front of a grand jury for it. That is a fact.

I just find it amusing how you, as well as others, are holding up on a pedestal a felony deadbeat dad who is profiting off of Caylee’s death.

    19. brie. on January 15th, 2009 3:29 pm

Roy said his wife had cancer and died, it took all of his savings…

He is not profiting off of Caylee’s death, as a county employee he cannot collect any reward money..

He was accused of being a kidnapper by his x-girlfriends boyfriend, not by the x-girlfriend…

Is Casey stalling because she believed all this time that Caylee was alive but of course we know better and now she can’t cope with her remains…So she won’t do anything about the body.

    20. Michelle S in MS on January 15th, 2009 3:34 pm

      YoYo

      What photo?

He was acquitted of those charges

Do you have any proof or are you just spouting off at the mouth again?

      Show me the links

    21. yoyo muffintop on January 15th, 2009 3:58 pm

“The network said it did not pay Kronk for his interview, but it acknowledged it paid Kronk to “license” a photo. A photo that aired during the interview showed a snake.

Kronk’s lawyer and an ABC spokeswoman would not disclose what Kronk was paid for the photo.”

Even better – a photo of a snake. Haha.

Michelle says: “He was never charged of any crime”. Michelle is 100% wrong.

Michelle says: “I don’t recall him making a dime off this”. Michelle is 100% wrong.

I guess we now know who’s “full of it” Michelle. That would be you.

Now go back to worshipping your felony deadbeat who profited off the death of Caylee. Pathetic.

No YoYo you are full of it. The grand jury did not find sufficient evidence to charge him with any crime. Why don’t you do some research the man was not guilty of anything.

He is not profiting off the death of Caylee. He turned the picture over to the investigation and he was paid for his travel expenses. How does that make him profit from Caylee’s death? He went on t.v. to defend all the false allegations against him from people like you. HE has done nothing wrong.

Who gives a shit about a picture of a snake.

You sir are the one that is pathetic. Why can’t you leave the man alone? He has done nothing wrong.

    25. pax on January 15th, 2009 5:08 pm

I think he did not want to give his name because he was out on company time searching for a missing child and calling in about it.

I am guessing he didn’t want to get caught doing this on company time, jmo

    26. bob on January 15th, 2009 5:46 pm

The police are like school teachers. They are overpaid and incompetent, and you can’t fire them because of their union power.

    27. Susan on January 15th, 2009 6:13 pm

I never thought I’d be saying this, but THANK YOU “yoyo muffintop” for posting the facts above in reference to some folks here beloved Roy Kronk. I know we’ve had our differences in the past. I apologize for the mean things I’ve said about you :-)

Well, the theory that Roy Kronk HAS NOT PROFITED from Caylee’s death just went out the window! And by the way, CNN reported sometime back that Kronk was reconsidering accepting a $5,000 reward for discovering Caylee’s remains. Maybe now the DEADBEAT DAD will pay his arrears before his ugly arse is hauled off to jail!

And yes, I know Kronk’s not being RESPONSIBLE enough to pay HIS child support OBLIGATION has nothing to do with Caylee’s murder. I NEVER SAID KRONK WAS GUILTY OF ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH CAYLEE’S DEATH!

    28. Susan on January 15th, 2009 6:30 pm

scott is such a BIG MAN sitting behind his computer screen calling someone he doesn’t even know CHILDISH names…LMAO ;-) Nope, I’m not stooping to his level, but would like to make a few comments and have some questions.

scottie boy, you wouldn’t know a FACT if it knocked you upside the head, so what the hell are you talking about, huh?

Sorry scottie, but I don’t eat twinkies nor do I have the time to watch soap operas. I hardly think that weighing in at 116 pounds makes me a prime candidate for a gastric bypass. You are really getting personal, aren’t ya boy?

No, our government was not behind 9/11, but the GD terrorists who flew f*cking planes into the WTC and the Pentagon were!!!!!

I’m not judging Kronk, just pointing out some less desirable character flaws he has :-)

Do you kiss your mother with that potty mouth???

      From wftv.com9

ATTORNEY MAY GIVE REWARD TO METER READER

Eyewitness News has learned that an Orlando attorney who resigned from representing George and Cindy Anthony is considering a $5,000 reward for the man who found two-year-old Caylee Anthony’s remains.

Eyewitness news reported two weeks ago that Roy Kronk was not eligible for a Crime line reward, but attorney Mark Nejame said that Kronk, “Did something very good and it’s only appropriate that something good be returned to him.

Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla also says he wants to give Kronk a reward for finding Caylee’s remains.

Well, well, well, looks like Kronk’s gonna PROFIT AGAIN from little Caylee’s death…

    31. Susan on January 15th, 2009 7:57 pm

Nancy Grace confirmed tonight that Roy Kronk, the meter reader, did receive/accept the $5000 reward. Wow, what a guy!!

misskatie – Thank you for trying to smooth things over between scott and myself :-) You are the best!

    32. brie. on January 15th, 2009 8:08 pm

I see nothing wrong with people wanting to give Roy a personal reward, the man did the right thing, if not, poor Caylee would still be out there…

The initial reward money for anyone was there for anyone finding Caylee, except for a county employee…

It’s not like Roy is writing a book or making a movie…

    33. pax on January 15th, 2009 8:22 pm

      Thanks Susan

The offer still stands if you want, just click my name.

Anyways, gotta admit I needed to giggle and reading some comments gave me the giggles so thanks.

Just saw NG and Kronk did take the money or ask for it?

Anyhow, a few people before were commenting on Leornard P needing to go home, I am pretty sure he is in CA and is just doing a live feed for her show.

Not much new, guess we will wait for those Verizon records huh? Funny, I can go on-line, put in my account # which is my phone # and viola, my detailed bill pops up. Must just be her Verizon…right..

    34. Susan on January 15th, 2009 9:26 pm

pax – You are welcome. Glad you got a laugh out of some of the comments :-)

Kronk changed his mind about accepting the reward and decided to take the money and run.

Yep, you are probably right…Padilla is in CA where he belongs.

The “psychotic psychic” is lying out of her teeth. You are right about checking cell phone calls online. It only takes a matter of minutes for calls to show up on your online account.

I checked out your site earlier. Pretty impressive ;-)

    35. HOPE on January 15th, 2009 9:29 pm

      Susan:

On one hand you criticize him for wanting to remain anonymous and, then, turn around and criticize him for getting a reward… You want that reward money? He’d, gladly, give you 5,000 $mackaroo$ to be rid of having his life invaded and having his personal business misconstrued by people like you. Just like Red said, we need to lay off Kronk.

I guess, with some people, they get what they hope for and then want to complain about it. I never understood that. Is it ungratefulness, distrust or just plain stupidity? I guess some people like being left in the dark, in limbo. Not me.

I wonder, if this were Natalee, would we be celebrating, or would we want a recount?

      Ridiculous!

    36. HOPE on January 15th, 2009 9:40 pm

      Where is our Susan? :(

    37. Susan on January 15th, 2009 9:49 pm

Hope – Yes, I am critical of Roy Kronk for wanting to remain anonymous, as well as profiting from Caylee’s death. What is wrong with that?

Kronk should have been jumping for joy that he find Caylee and felt proud of himself. Why does he feel he has to go on national TV to defend himself if he has done nothing wrong? As I stated before, why would anyone want to remain anonymous if they have NOTHING TO HIDE??? It makes no sense.

Why on God’s green earth would I want to claim the reward when I didn’t find or play a part in finding Caylee’s remains? THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!!

If this were Natalee, would we be celebrating or would we want a recount? Gees, what kind of question is that? I, for one, would be thanking God that Natalee would finally be coming home, WHERE SHE BELONGS!!

You know, it’s hard to understand why some of you here cannot accept my views on Kronk, whether I’m right or wrong. I’m not trying to force anyone to see things my way. I’m simply expressing how I feel.

    38. Susan on January 15th, 2009 9:51 pm

Here I am…did you miss me, Hope??

    39. brie. on January 15th, 2009 11:21 pm

I think the people of Orlando are thankful that Roy was pursuant in being suspicious about the bag he saw…makes you wonder how many people would of done that…because he did a good deed now he has to employ an attorney at his expense…

    40. HOPE on January 15th, 2009 11:38 pm

Kronk should have been jumping for joy that he find Caylee and felt proud of himself.

      * I’m sure, after the shock of having her head roll out from the bag with tape wrapped all around it… he was proud. *

Why does he feel he has to go on national TV to defend himself if he has done nothing wrong? As I stated before, why would anyone want to remain anonymous if they have NOTHING TO HIDE??? It makes no sense.

      * Perhaps it’s not that he doesn’t have anything to hide, as much as it’s that he is thrown right smack into the middle of a high-profile case where every segment of his life will be dissected and looked at with a micro-scope. The solution: Put the news out there yourself, admit to anything they can scrutinize and get on with it. I, certainly, wouldn’t allow the media to print information about me without knowing the circumstances, would you? *

Why on God’s green earth would I want to claim the reward when I didn’t find or play a part in finding Caylee’s remains? THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!!

      * I don’t know? Do you think $5,000 is a lot of money? Why one God’s green earth would you NOT want him to accept it?*

If this were Natalee, would we be celebrating or would we want a recount? Gees, what kind of question is that? I, for one, would be thanking God that Natalee would finally be coming home, WHERE SHE BELONGS!!

*And that’s what most of us are doing is thanking God that Caylee is finally found so she can be put to rest, instead of being in a swampy hole somewhere.*

You know, it’s hard to understand why some of you here cannot accept my views on Kronk, whether I’m right or wrong. I’m not trying to force anyone to see things my way. I’m simply expressing how I feel.

*Maybe because we see a hero in Kronk and we are thankful and grateful for the things that he’s done to make sure that the Authorities were notified about, what he suspected was, a little girls body in a plastic bag. But, even more than that, we’re thankful that he didn’t just go on with his life and forget about her. Roy Kronk didn’t do this for himself… he could have lived without all the drama. He did it for Caylee.*

      # Susan on January 15th, 2009 9:51 pm

Here I am…did you miss me, Hope??

*Yes, I missed you. I like you, very much. I just don’t want you to take a bunch of flack from people and get angry and leave. We are here for Caylee. We want what’s right for her. And, Roy Kronk did all the right things for Caylee. For that, we’re thankful, grateful and respectful. He didn’t have to do anything!*

      Besides, I think he’s cute :)

      .

      Justice for Caylee!

    41. starfish on January 16th, 2009 2:11 am

I don’t care how kronk found out caylee’s body was there, I’m just glad he reported it.
If he was tipped off by the family or a PI then that is there bad for being chicken shit.
If kronk did it for money thats ok, because all the crap that people are heaping on him he deserves it.
I am pretty sure he will pay off his child support with any money he does get.
I can’t understand the heated anger about his oweing past due child support.
In the big picture of life it’s a much smaller thing compared to murdering your child!
Direct your anger where it belongs on Casey!

Hope – The only thing that ever brought me to Scared Monkeys, to begin with, was the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, period. I’ve followed that case very closely from day one, and will continue to support the efforts in bringing her home in any way I can. I just happened to be in the DC area on business, back in June of last year, when Aruba was suppose to be at a travel show, but was a no show. My daughter, who is one month younger than Natalee, and I had the HONOR to meet Dave Holloway in Brookwood at a book signing. My heart goes out to the Holloway family. I want JUSTICE FOR NATALEE and answers for Beth and Dave!!

I don’t have to take any FLACK from anyone, especially here, for my opinions. I’m sure none of you would be heartbroken or disappointed if I didn’t comment here ever again.

SM: Everyone is allowed to state their opinion here (I preface that with its respectful and w/o cursing) There is never a need to leave just because someone opposes one’s point of view. To all, the art of debate is not name calling …. its persuasion through point, fact and tone.

On a side note, I only commented on all of your revelations and references to Jehovah bc of their volume. Everyone is free to believe & worship the Religion of their chosing.

Like you, I came to this Website in 2004 and stayed for the coverage on the NH case. I love the Website and have no plans of leaving anytime soon. Like many, the morning routine is:

Check Google News, check stocks (Ugh), check email, sign on the SM Blog. It’s a part of everyday life. Thanks for being you, HOPE- we do enjoy reading your posts…it’s obvious to me you have a heart and compassion—2 of the greatest qualities anyone can possess.

Dang, alot of passion here, better than no passion imo.

ITA with all the negative and positive posts on Kronk, me thinks I just can’t decide *blush*
I know he is cleared so that means alot but there is something off with him but that may just be the situation and his personality, anyways, the reward money doesn’t bother me but did he really get paid for a photo, $30,000 for a photo?
Must’ve been one hell of a photo!

Back to my perch on this issue, keep it coming and yes, I appreciate the word volley here, nothing like great minds on opposite sides, :)

bob – no sir the police are trained professionals and FACT they are not overpaid but under paid for the work they do. My father was a police officer for 30 years just outside DC in one of the most dangerous counties in the USA and he was definitely overpaid. you wouldn’t know what it is to put your life on the line. you wouldn’t know what is was like to work 72 hours straight because of 6 homicides in one day! of course, there are bad cops but 98% of them do great work so get a life…

susan – the problem is your opinions are blabber. you never back up your claims with facts!

yoyo- all 3 of your points are FALSE. You are another one who posts lies without facts. Where’s the FACT that he received a 30K licensing fee? Where’s the FACT he should be in felony prison? It’s funny you are one to quickly soil the reputation of man you do not know. Are you perfect? You never done anything wrong? This man lost his wife to cancer. Ever have to deal with anything like that? It changes you. You do not know the full details of his past transgressions! Boy, I’d love to see your wrap sheet!

Based on your postings I surmise you are a child predator and should be throughly investigated as noe!

    47. scott on January 16th, 2009 9:55 am

I meant UNDERPAID. He was definitely under-paid. You have no idea what a police officer pension is so stop making assine comments. Poor bobby – what happened, are you a criminal and just can’t your sorry life in order so you blame it on everybody but yourself. Take some individual responsibilty!

      # 45 pax – To my knowledge, I am the Susan who has commented most often here, as of late. I did use “Susan in Alabama” for a short period when another susan showed up one day :-)

I started coming to Scared Monkeys on a regular basis after the Yahoo message boards were shut down a couple of years ago. Yahoo was probably being sued by everybody and his brother for all of the ugly postings, which occurred on a daily basis.

In the beginning, my sole purpose for visiting this site was to see if there was anything new on the Natalee Holloway case.

I vowed last night to never comment here again, but you seem like a nice person, and I didn’t want to leave you hanging out there.

I thank God that my life doesn’t evolve around Scared Monkeys! Good riddance to all you who dare to be so critical of others that dare to oppose you. I’ve notice the comments are fewer, thanks to ya’ll running folks off. We don’t need ya anyway :-)

By the way, it’s not like Kronk is your damn daddy, brother, uncle, or freaking best friend. I could see your defending him if he was. Yes, he did a good deed by finding Caylee’s remains, but he shouldn’t be WORSHIPPED like a god!! I’ll be back to rub it in later on when you folks are “eating crow”.

Thanks Susan, I enjoy talking with you and everyone, at least people have strong opinions which brings out strong deduction from alot of reading and following of the case.

I hate a one post attack and run away but I don’t see much of that here.

I actually found the site a couple of weeks ago when I googled this case. Was happy to find some interested people as I am interested.

Anyways, I will be at my place too if you leave.

I still am on the fence, my perch, on Kronk. I feel strongly on both sides, doesn’t make sense but I do.

You are welcome, pax :-) I enjoyed coming here to SM once upon time, but don’t appreciate the childish attacks and being called vulgar names. I have not provoked the attacks. It would be different if I had…

At one time, this site was monitored a little closer. Red’s partner (I believe his name was Tom, but not certain) didn’t allow the cursing, name calling, or attacks. I’m not perfect by any means, and have been known to sling the mud, curse, throw tantrums, etc. from time to time.

Anyway, pax, you take care, and I’ll catch you later on at your place :-)

    52. Brenda in Virginia on January 16th, 2009 1:33 pm

yoyo…you don’t know your facts…and that is a fact. As I posted previously, the woman Kronk was living with that died last year of cancer is the same woman he “rescued” and in turn was accussed of this bogus crime of kidnap.

what I read on Orlando Sentinal earlier this week was this woman lived with Kronk and left him for a new boyfriend. AFter a time, this woman wanted to go back to Kronk and called him begging he come up to Atlanta (or whereever she was) and bring her home. He drove there and had an “altercation” with the soon to be x-boyfriend. this woman left willingly and very, happily with Kronk. Then…angry jilted BF called police claiming Kronk had just kidnapped her.

Another thing that wasa reported and you don’t know is this woman stood by Kronk in court and the case was tossed for “lack of ANY evidence.” That was the exact wording…lack of ANY evidence.

So, this woman he “kidnapped” lived with him then until her death from cancer. That’s the true story. Sorry if you didn’t know about it sooner cuz it’s how it happened.

No worries here :-) I decided to continue to comment on SM no matter what some of the others may think about what I say. Either they agree, disagree or remain neutral. Some will never grow up, continue to act childishly, but that’s their problem, not mine.

Yeah, wouldn’t it be nice if some were within “range”…lol!

This would seal the case for the prosecution. They would have her DNA in the back of the Casey’s car and Casey’s DNA at the crime scene. I think someone has to file a complaint, in order for those back child support payments to become an issue. From the sounds of it, his ex-wife has a lot of respect for him. She wrote that she was not aware than his wife was sick. And, yes, dog or daug; they’re not all bad especially if they do the right thing.

Maybe I have an imagination, but is there anything wrong with believing in yourself… standing by your convictions? No. Do I go around cussing people out? Not, hardly. I treat each and every one of you as an individual. I care about you. I don’t want to see anyone get bashed.

I am sure that if the police find any solid reason to suspect that the meter guy, Mr. Kronk, has any ties to this case (other than his having called in to report on what he saw, or suspected) … they would take action. Just my view.

    65. joey on January 18th, 2009 7:54 pm

Roy Kronk is nothing but a scam artist. He planted that bag in the woods. There was no way that the bag that Caylee was found in was the same bag that was there for those 5 to 6 months. There was a video tape of the area done 2 weeks proior to the so called findings. How can the OCSO buy his story that he found that bag with Caylee in it. Then collecting a $5,000.00 reward, what was that for? He set the whole thing up. He is known to kidnap people. How do we not know he had something to do with Caylee’s dissapparence and then killed her. We don’t know. He had no business in the woods during work hours. If it was work related why did he not have a co worker or someboby that could walk with him to witness him seeing if the bag was there. It is so weird. His own mother said on national TV that her son is a child molester.

I think Joey sums it all up for Kronk. I think it is very disgusting for him to urinate here especially if he suspected a (freakin dead body) and kick her head from the bag! This should give clues as what type of person he is. So much for ROBINHOOD! he’s a joker for sure

    68. HOPE on January 18th, 2009 11:19 pm

      kc:

You try walking a mile in his shoes reading meters and see if you don’t have to stop to relieve yourself. That’s the last thing that I would worry about. I doubt that he kicked the bag as hard as you think. Besides, did you hear? He has a girlfriend that kept insisting that he go check it out. Besides, would you stick your hand inside a garbage bag in an area where you had spotted a snake?

      Not me!

But, you’re entitled to your opinion. I just hope he doesn’t start going after more money. That will give the defense something to harp on him about.

Why do they even put this junk with the psychic on Nancy Grace? It’s all pure speculation. Where is the dang Verizon phone bill already to prove or condemn what the pyshic is saying!!! I really just want answers like the rest of you, and this just seems stupid to speculate on whether the psychic is lying or not. Phone bill anybody?!!!

And #65, okay, Roy Kronk falls short of buying my trust in him as a great person of character, too, but – your post is a little out there! He is known to kidnap people and is also a child molester? What?! Who kills somebody and then ‘finds’ their body? Who does that?

I’m getting so frustrated with this case. I thought them finding the body would finally bring answers, but now all we’re getting is a circus freak show. I can’t wait for the real, hard facts to emerge, and bring justice to this poor baby girl.

    71. BeckyB on January 29th, 2009 8:33 am

Okay. I have read both sides of the argument. Of course, it’s not fair to judge Mr. Kronk without knowing all the facts, BUT you have to admit it’s weird that Equasearch, Padilla, and the whole Orange County Community searched and didn’t come up with anything…then, Kronk finds her TWICE while taking an innocent wee. I for one am not buying it. In my opinion, someone tipped him off or he saw something that he couldn’t reveal at the time. I don’t think he’s that sharp on his own.
AND for those of you who are so angry..chill. We are all entitled to think what we wish. This shouldn’t be a forum to fight. Can’t we just listen to each others opinions?

    72. BeckyB on January 29th, 2009 8:38 am

As far as any psychics go..Whatever. If these people had such power, we would have known what happened to Caylee long ago. Where was the wonderful Sylvia Brown in all of this? The only thing she has that I don’t is money because she has fooled the people. The ones that believe in this stuff are fragile.

Man Who Found Caylee’s Remains-Once Arrested On Kidnapping Charge.

Man Who Found Caylee’s Remains Once Arrested On Kidnapping Charge in South Carolina.

The Meter Reader who found little Caylee Anthony remains is likely to have a Network TV Interview to clear suspicions, that he had any thing to do with the Caylee Anthony death-murder.

Roy Kronk who is the Orange County utility worker, who called in three reports about a suspicious bag…and who in fact on December11Th, 2008, discovered the remains of little Caylee Anthony in a wooded area near the girl’s grandparents’ home, was arrested in the early 1990s on kidnapping charges.

Kronk said in a statement issued to WKMG that the kidnapping involved a domestic situation with a man who was living with his former girlfriend.

“In the early 1990s, while on duty with the U.S. Coast Guard in Key West, Florida, I had a girlfriend who made the decision to discontinue her relationship with me and move to South Carolina to reside with another man. But really I was so mad when she let me for that other guy, that’s why I went up there to take her away, but I did get caught, and hired a real good lawyer.

At some time after her departure, she called me and asked me to come to South Carolina and help her move away from that individual. I traveled to South Carolina to assist her. Upon my arrival in South Carolina, the man she was living with engaged me in a confrontation.

As a result of that confrontation, I was arrested based on false allegations that I had kidnapped my former girlfriend.

The matter was submitted to a grand jury in South Carolina. The grand jury determined that there was no probable cause to bring charges against me. In recognition of the falsity of these allegations, all records relating to this arrest were expunged by the South Carolina court.

“Also with hiring the best attorney that money can buy, any good attorney can get you off of anything like my attorney did in South Carloina”.

WKMG has personally confirmed that information is included in the criminal background check conducted on Roy Kronk prior to his hiring with Orange County.

Kronks’ attorney, David Evans, said Friday that it is likely his client will likely give the interview Monday or Tuesday. Evans would not say which network would conduct the interview. It’s customary for networks to pay expenses for its guests, which Evans said would happen, but he would not say if Kronk was being paid for the interview. Also Roy stated “if I don’t get paid for the interview, then I will not tell them everything”.

“Roy Kronk lost his wife to cancer last year, and that battle brought him down to his last dime,” said Evans, who added that he would like to find a way to get his client some compensation, for that lost. So Roy uses poor Caylee being dead, hides her body all that time, then says look at what I found. It was video taped prior to the so called discovery. So how is it that Roy really found the bag? Or did he? It was more than likely he planted the bag there. We all searched the area and found nothing. So why is it that an ex kidnapper finds it, and not the police. He even had the charges expunged from his record. If he had nothing to hide why do that.

Roy has only commented once since the gruesome discovery was made. That was three weeks ago when he held a news conference and issued a brief statement, expecting to get paid on every news conference. Roy Kronk tried to go and get a exclusive interview deal with a media outlet and expected to be paid one million dollars for the story. It was decline and he then refused to tell the story unless he was going to get paid. He stated he would tell them the real truth of what really happened that day.

“Back in August of this year, I had previously reported to Crimeline and to the sheriff’s communications center that I had spotted something suspicious, a bag in the same area,” Kronk said in August. “But I failed to tell them everything about the case that I know so I don’t get into trouble.I promised Lee Anthony I would keep him out of it. Don’t you think it is quite odd, the grandparents out in California doing an interview and Lee is here all alone and we decide to say hay, look at what I found, but the media and police did buy it.I have been and will continue to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office and the FBI, but I wanted to get paid and they refused to pay me for my story.

There are numerous conspiracy theories that have circulated about Kronk’s role in the case, and Evans said his client feels the time is right to set the record straight for the people if they pay a price for it.

Evans said he is preparing Roy for all types of scrutiny.

It is rumored that Roy Kronk and his attorney Evans have been unwilling to sit down and answer any questions from Anthony’s defense team. They have been cooperating with authorities.

So, Roy Kronk, the Man Who Found Caylee’s Remains-Once Arrested On Kidnapping Charge, is not a kidnapper.. Just once again, a good Samaritan, yeah right.
      Number 1 SUSPECT=Casey Anthony
      Number 2 SUSPECT=Roy Kronk

Hope and other belivers – I need to correct you and make it very clear that “I, do not” have any respect for my x-husband – Roy Kronk the so called (used to be a Bounty hunter — NOT) and (CG Boarding Officer – Body recovery experience – NONE), who “STILL” refuses to pay child support of 10,000, plus. He is putting on a good front and painting an innocent picture for the media. Take it from someone who knows, it’s not at all true. he claims he wanted to help “that little girl”,,, well, I would like to know when he’s going to help his own child — it’s been 25 frickin years — you tell me? he is pissed @ me because I reopened the Child Support Case back in June last year, before any of this happened. I even offered him the opportunity to take care of it, so his employer wouldn’t receive garnishment papers. Good – stand-up guy ha? He got 25,000 for a picture of a snake (probably taken @ the zoo), and 5,000 from the Anthony’s Attorney for assisting in the recovery of Caylee and not a penny one — since 8 months ago. I am disgusted with his lies, stories and fronts. I have no respect for him or his half truths. he has yet to tell the truth about anything in his life! By the way — I hope Officer Cain gets his job back – it was just trash in that bag right (white bag in aug.)? Roy did that in hopes of claiming an award in Aug… get with it people. Wish it worked out for him – maybe Child Support will get paid and I could give it to my Grandson! I guess it’s call Grandson Support now right??? disgruntle x-wife

I hope your source is credible because he has his attorney on the war path againts others for defamation. Please do advise how you know this! Otherwise, imo you are just spreading lies and rumors. We need facts not fabrications. Please do enlighten us more about this so called insurance fraud.

    77. Leah on February 25th, 2009 3:19 am

Crystal- I totally understand where you are coming from. Dead beat dads are low life scum. I’m just confused that your position on Roy today is so polar opposite from what you posted about him on December 19th @ 3:39pm (SM Article title/subject ‘…Meter Reader Holds Press Conference’) where you specifucally stated “Roy deserves his moment in glory” for being such a great and persistant tipster, and thanked him for it. Did you or did you not write that comment giving such great praise to your ex husband/deadbeat baby’s daddy or did someone pose as you instead? Please clarify?

    78. JamaicaJoe on November 22nd, 2009 11:24 pm

Buried in the evidence documents that the police released to the media are three or four police incident reports which were generated in the weeks before Mr. Kronk made his final call to the police. In those reports, some other individuals were questioned because they were poking around in the same woods. They all reported that they had uncovered an area of disturbed ground, Interestingly, all of these police reports contained a statement that the individuals “had not reported this to media”
