Here’s one reason to make sure you get up in the morning and make your children breakfast. Aside from the obvious healthy reasons. Parents the key to unwanted teen pregnancy is cereal, eggs, toast and pancakes …
We all know that eating breakfast is a healthy an important part of staring the day. However, parents did you know that teenagers who skip breakfast lose their virginity at a younger age than those who do not? That is correct according to a study backed by Japan’s health ministry.
Japanese researchers studied 3,000 people and said that teens who skip breakfast lose their virginity earlier than those who start their days off with some food, Agence France-Presse reported Friday.
Specifically, researchers found that people in their early teens who regularly skipped breakfast lost their virginity at an average age of 17.5 years old, versus an average age of 19 for breakfast eaters.
The study concluded that teens that ate breakfast had home had more stable home lives that discouraged early sex. The study is basically stating that teens will vent their frustrations of having uncaring parents who do not show them the attention of making them breakfast in other outlets. I wonder is they did this study for lunch and dinner as well?
“Those unhappy with their parents – such as for not preparing breakfast – may tend to find a way to release their frustration by having sex,” said Kunio Kitamura, head of the Japan Family Planning Association who led the research.
“If children don’t feel comfortable in their family environment, they tend to go out.”
Young people who start having sex early tended to miss breakfast because they return home late, he said.
