Two More Reason why McCain/Palin are Surging … Lynn Forester de Rothschild back Ticket & Kathleen Sebelius Calls Repubs Racists

There are many factors that go into the McCain/Palin surge in the polls and their now appeal with everyday Americans as opposed to what appears to be the sinking ship of the Obama campaign. Polls can lie; however, trends do not. There is no question that the turning point of the 2008 campaign for the White House was McCain’s bold choice of change in picking Palin as his VP vs. the same old political pick by Obama. However, time has passed since Palin was announced to America and The Palin Phenomenon has legs …

The latest positive news for the McCain/Palin ticket is longtime Hillary Clinton supporter Lynn Forester de Rothschild will announce her backing of McCain. OUCH!, this one is going to leave a mark in the backside of Team Obama. If any one really wondered where Hillary Clinton’s heart is in this campaign, they need look no further than Lynn Forester de Rothschild comments. Just how many Hillary supporters feel the same way and will vote for McCain/Palin as well. As Blue Crab Boulevard states, this is a big defection in the Democratic camp.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don’t like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

Then there is the continual negative use of the race card by the Democrats that will sink the Obama campaign. This time it was Obama surrogate, Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius who played the race card. When will Democrats understand that their play book is old and tired and the American people are sick and tired of the party that cried “racist” wolf. According to Hot Air in an update, the MSM is even trying to back track and cover up the comments made by Sebelius.

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius accused Republicans on Tuesday of injecting race into the presidential campaign, arguing that they are using “code language” to convince Midwesterners that Democrat Barack Obama is different from them.

“Have any of you noticed that Barack Obama is part African-American?” Sebelius asked with sarcasm. “(Republicans) are not going to go lightly into the darkness.”

UPDATE I: Add another Democrat to the McCain List … Miguel D. Lausell, a Puerto Rican Democrat supports McCain

In an interview Thursday, Miguel D. Lausell, a Puerto Rican businessman and longtime Democratic activist and fund-raiser, came out for Sen. McCain. While he said he doesn’t agree with all the policy positions of the Republican candidate and his running mate, Sarah Palin, Mr. Lausell added: “I find McCain to be a sound person and a man with a track record. I know where he is coming from.” Mr. Lausell had been a major backer of Bill Clinton and served as a senior political adviser to Sen. Clinton’s unsuccessful bid this year for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Mr. Lausell said he feels Sen. Obama “doesn’t really regard the Hispanic community as important.” Sen. Clinton won a large majority of the Hispanic vote in most primaries, and Latino voters are an important bloc in swing states such as Florida, Nevada and New Mexico. Most polls show Sen. Obama leads Sen. McCain among Latinos.

      There we go again…..

Democrats play race card and then blame Republicans for being racist. Too funny.

This is about the fourth or fifth time that the race card has been pulled out.

Is there any way that we can just re-elect Bush? At least he stays away from the fray and never race-baited.

don’t allow Hamas statements influence elections.
that’s giving these terrorists too much importance.

Obama is doing well now in battleground states by the way:

Wonder if Obama will fix problems in Washington like his 13th District in Chicago..?

How did O do on home turf ?

If we are going to think about having “O” preside over our country, lets remember how he handled his other tasks as a representative.

For more than five weeks during the brutally cold winter of 1997, tenants suffered without any heat in a government-subsidized apartment building. The 31-unit building in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood had been “rehabbed” just four years prior at taxpayer expense, no less.

How cold was it? Temperatures routinely dipped around ten below zero. With wind-chills factored in, the effective temperatures approached 30 below.

And the residents of the building had no heat for more than a month, But Rezko and his partner couldn’t rustle up enough money to get the Englewood building’s heat turned back on.

Their company, Rezmar Corp., did manage to find $1,000, which it promptly gave to the campaign fund of State Senator Barack Obama. The young politican had recently been elected the representative for the district that included the Englewood apartment complex.

Eleven of Rezko’s buildings were in Obama’s district (and all were in close proximity to the district). The results of Rezko’s housing experiment? • Seventeen buildings — many beset with code violations, including a lack of heat — ended up in foreclosure.
      • Six buildings are currently boarded up.
      • Hundreds of the apartments are vacant, in need of major repairs.
      • Taxpayers have been stuck with millions in unpaid loans.
      • At least a dozen times, the city of Chicago sued Rezmar for failure to heat buildings.

Did State Senator Obama ever complain to anyone — government officials, Rezmar or Rezko — about the conditions of Rezmar’s buildings? There is apparently no documented evidence that Obama stood up for his constituents.

Even Obama’s campaign has implicitly confirmed this fact. In April of 2007, it released the statement: “Senator Obama does not remember having conversations with Tony Rezko about properties that he owned.”

After Obama beat Clinton in the Democratic primary, Lady de Rothschild was probably like, “Boo-hoo, my candidate lost, waah waah, nothing ever goes my way! Jeeves, please lower me into my diamond bathtub — which is filled with real diamonds — and shampoo my hair with the triple-distilled tears of orphans. Also, I command you to perform a champagne enema on one of my fine Arabian stallions while I liveblog it on my solid gold typepad account. C’est tres magnificique!

For Lynn Forester de Rothschild, it doesn’t matter to much who wins, she’ll still have everything she wants. She’s just greedy for bigger tax breaks for her multi-billion dollar fortunes that has her cutting a deal with McCain and hurting her own party. Honor?

      Wake up Americans.

They do wiretapping if they think terrorism is involved.. If they didn’t and something happened you would be complaining noone did nothing to stop it. Some you can never win with.. you are damned if you and damned if you don’t..

I watch Lynn Rothschild last night on Greta’s show.. She said she’s been a Democrat all her life, but the party has been taken over by Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Howard Dean and the far left..and she was now endorsing John McCain. She said he has shown he can work with Democrats as well as his own party.. He has taken on Bush. She said she told her family they wouldn’t see her much until the election..she would be campaigning.

Caesu chances are more than very good a Democratic operative hacked her email, trying to smear her.. Clinton’s were famous for running this type of campaign.. hence all those FBI files belonging to Republicans that wound up in the basement of the White House when Clinton was in office.. Yet noone knew how they got there.. Obama runs a dirty campaign..he ran one against Hillary.

    16. Maggie on September 18th, 2008 2:22 pm

btw this is concerning the ad Obama ran yesterday that completely took things out of context and made it look like John McCain is a racist.

Today, the McCain camp issued a statement from US Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart, a Republican from Florida, a key battleground state where the Latino vote is crucial.

“It is offensive and dishonest for Barack Obama to lie about John McCain’s record on immigration and years of support for the Hispanic community, when it was Barack Obama himself who voted for ‘poison pill’ amendments that killed the effort at immigration reform,” Diaz-Balart said. “Instead of making false ads with baseless attacks, Barack Obama should be apologizing to the Latino community.”

    17. Maggie on September 18th, 2008 5:44 pm

Caesu this is the info I found so far on the hacker.. Dem. Rep. Mike Kernell’s son.

NASHVILLE – State Rep. Mike Kernell said today that he was aware of Internet rumors about his son being the subject of speculation that he accessed the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Asked whether he or his son, a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, had been contacted by authorities investigating the break-in of Palin’s account, he responded:

      “Me, no.”

As far as his 20-year-old son, David, he said: “I can’t say. That doesn’t mean he has or hasn’t (been contacted by investigators).”

Kernell, D-Memphis, cited the father-son relationship.

He said he had talked to his son today, but that he talks to his son regularly.

      He declined further comment.

Attempts to reach the younger Kernell for comment were not successful.
