Bizarre apparent suicide in lower Manhattan …
20 year old model Ruslana Korshunova, who has graced the covers of 
European Vogue and Elle fell nine stories from a balcony to her death in lower Manhattan, NY in apparent suicide. According to officials, Ruslana Korshunova leaped to her death.
Ruslana Korshunova was an apparent suicide, police said. It was not immediately known if anyone had been in her Water Street condo or if she left a note. It happened around 2:30 p.m.
The Kazakstan native also appeared in ads for Marc Jacobs, DKNY and Vera Wang. Korshunova, was represented by IMG Models and had been featured in the European editions of Elle and Vogue
Investigators still were investigating the circumstances of the fall Saturday evening as to determine whether there was anyone else present in the apartment. It was unclear if anyone else was in the apartment at the time of the fall, police said. Also, the city medical examiner still needs to determine the official cause of the models death.

How do we know that Ruslana Korshunova wasn’t thrown off her roof? A jilted lover? The mob?
Apparently there were many witnesses, and police say no signs of a fight were found in her apartment…
Very sad…
apparent that she had everything going for her.. great looks.. wealth.. but if she did commit suicide the reason could of been anything from a broken relationship to deep seeded emotional problems..

Bizarre story…..my take is that somehow drugs were involved. These poor models starve themselves….coke themselves up with nose candy or typically are prescribed tons of different pills by their legions of Doctor’s. Not to generalize or stereotype–but depression is often a common factor in many Supermodels lives.
So—mixing drugs with emotions….sleepless days and nights, relentless schedules, heavy international travel….add up to what we read about above.
RIP…another beautiful person taken too soon.

From what I understand there was no autopsy the body was whisked back to Russia
I saw this reported on Geraldo, it was disgusting, you could see her arms being lifted on to her chest and a graphic picture of her face with blood coming from the side of her mouth, i thought this highly inappropriate and an invasion on a families tradged,I would have expected a reputable broadcaster to blur the image.
