Teachers Union Chairman Sues Education Minister Marisol Tromp for Offensive comments During the Strike

The teachers union chairman has taken the Education Minister Marisol Tromp to court over offensive comments she made during the strike. Could these people possibly be any more thin skinned? You are suing because she “hurt you with her words”? How pathetic is that? Seems that these type of ridiculous lawsuits get heard while real crimes go un-noticed and un-prosecuted.

Aruba: where words are legal actions and crimes against Natalee Holloway are not

Van Varsseveld is of the opinion that the comments Minister Tromp made on TeleAruba on April 7, 2008 were offensive and a slur on his professional ethics.

In the TV-broadcast, Tromp questioned the education capacity of Van Varsseveld.  He would be held responsible for bad school results and students doubling the year, if the strike had continued, said the minister in the broadcast.

they can sue the hell out of each other over nothing on the island, but think nothing about telling the parents of a l8 yr. old girl, most likely raped, killed, and disappeared that they just need to “shut up, go home, and get over it”. such wonderful people they have in charge there.

    2. Carpe on May 7th, 2008 11:12 am

Seems about par for an island that would acccept the word of three local boys, that a female 18 yr old American tourist had gone missing with the three of them and was never heard from again, and they had nothing to do with it… even though none of their stories matched up.

HAN MOS keeping case open after Joran’s DEVRIES-EEM CONFESSION…. and now seeking clairvoyants to see what happened to Natalee Holloway!!!

Does it get any sicker than

      Me thinks not.

The OM ON Auba should replace short-term

      In the Dutch newspaper stand
      regular reports about the
      Natalee Holloway case, as well
      Today Monday. the Aruban
Public Prosecutor for the apparently now
      also information from experienced mediums
seriously to take the lead in resolving
of the case. in the Dutch canteens
in the lunchtime ga with your colleagues
to the company canteen is much
laughed about how the arubaanse OM
under the leadership of Hans Mos with this
Case handles. The OM is outlined as
Bassie and Adriaan. Actually at on
straight because Bassie and resolve Adriaan
Cases. I am ashamed as Aruban
and a lawyer for dese jokes that one
      core of truth. Lucky
one does not know of many other
blunders of the many other blunders
of the PPS. As the chance losses
of the “high profile” FDDN case, it has not
able to react properly to requests
      from prosecution by parliamentarians;
ende-renowned Holloway case (Joran is now
Thailand on holiday to celebrate), bad
      be elected presentation and voorkeursbe

case, do not do independent research
into possible criminal offences committed by
incumbent politicians, and as a blow to
work while we get to hear that the
OM itself not responsible for how can
      with its own budget.

Also shooting for the deficit in shcromeli-jk
the formulation of preventive and belied
act against crime. I cite but
the many car accidents involving relatively
many with fatal consequences that may take years after the act be prosecuted. The OM has
never announced any policy to they explain how the number of fatal

For example, more victims and higher
fines from sharing or stricter alcohol control would like to reduce. Ugly murders and a lack of vision for how we should go
with outpatient and other drug addicts.
The lijkd out that a laissez faire
      culture prevails in the PPS.

Leading for a false ende I think OM
the next. On April 5 letter was an over –
handed to the prosecutor of the PPS. In this
letter was an urgent question to
the PPS by a victim of an offence.

The interests of the victims are large and
a rapid response from the PPS was on his
place. But we had no time to the
letter to answer. Later it was reported
that the letter seeking. Until today, this letter remained unanswered. If the PPS not
able to accommodate a letter with a simple yes or no answer, how can we then be able
      to combat crime.

Head Officer Hans Mos is the guest
      by Dutch television programmes
      quasi crime reporter and see
in the Aruban Parliament during strikes.

If you are calling for the Officers of
Justice or in consultation with the whole team Curacao for a refresher course. One can
wonder how long we actually behind their desk to the hard work do.

The new PG has a difficult task for
itself. He / She will have to make choices about the future of the PPS. It has long been
time that sound talented and proactive
Aruban lawyers (who are often abroad
apart) the leadership within the OM.

They often sit in courts in the
industry and the advoctuur and not
only in the Netherlands but also in
Aruba and the Antilles. They understand
the local situation much better and are better able…

Leave it up to the Ministers to threaten the leaders in the strike with such a bogus threat. However, it not only threatens him but it questions his character; insinuating that the Chairman doesn’t care about the education of the children.

But, who, ultimately, is responsible for the childrens’ education?

The minister, who has neither a budget nor books. An idiot with his conscience in the bottom of a clear plastic bag that believes that people should work for free, while he lines his pockets with money that’s skimmed from the top.

They’re happy, celebrating, while everyone else is barely getting by. I’d like to see what the REAL people of Aruba feel about their economy. One that didn’t even have enough room in it to allow a bakery to make a small profit over white bread.

These Arawaks talk out of both sides

      of mouth

      with fork-ed tongue.

It certainly isn’t written in a professional manner, like most news agencies use. I have a real hard time following it..

It reads the way trolls talk…

      My vote: It’s an Elmo!

      Maybe it’s Patrick,

      describing his ‘witch’ hunt…

      “Why can’t anyone BELIEVE me?”

In his own mind, he is the ‘perfect’ resolution.

      No one is guilty…

      No more boycott…

      No more justice.

He hopes the Dutch resolve to mediums to solve
the case. What a laughing stock that would be.
He hung around Joran enough to have a hate for
her and is afraid to look in the mirror knowing:

He is, only, a fool, a sucker,

      Who bought a story…

      From a lunatic.

I’m sure, Joran is willing to sell ANYONE a story about now in his ultimate quest to shock Beth and to flip his middle finger at the world. Besides, the money has to be getting short, and, just like a demon who knows his time is short… he is like an angry lion ready to devour anyone.

      Justice for Natalee!

    8. Miss-Underestimated on May 7th, 2008 12:47 pm

I wonder how many mediums could be hired to say what Aruba wants?

Phonies, who live on a phony island. A facade, this one happy island is rotting from the inside out.

Aruba, you’re almost at the three-year mark here, and you’ve done “squat” for Natalee and her family. You’ve done everything to protect the last suspects seen with Natalee and that includes Paulus. Now you want mediums? Here is a simple thing you can do and you don’t need a medium.

Ask Michael Dompig what he wanted to say before his daddy shut him up.

    11. richard on May 7th, 2008 3:44 pm

The head of the teachers union was miffed because the remarks of the education minister were held to reflect badly on his “professional ethics”?

That term is about the last thing that would apply to anyone, anywhere, on anything in Aruba.

It would be an insult to Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey to say that Aruba is an island of clowns.

    12. richard on May 7th, 2008 3:47 pm

I too used to scratch my head and wonder what those Google translations, such as the Hon. Carpe Noctem posted in #3, mean. Now I’ve figured it out … they are accurate.

The Arubans actually probably do sound as stupid and incoherent in the original as they do in translation.

Don’t you get it? Everything from Joran is either a lie or a fantasy. He came and she shook all over… Come On! Any adolescent mind can come up with that! He will never tell on himself OR his father.

The trolls know that we know… not because of a medium, but because of the Chicago Videos. Let Aruba show them to the world and let us all have a crack at what killed her. They are only making fun of us…

      Is this what you meant

      when they shouldn’t?

    21. Patti on May 7th, 2008 8:43 pm

      Miss Katie:

You remember Oduber’s radio speech about how recovering Natalee’s body would be an embarassment for 90,000 people and would mean the end of Aruba’s tourism?

That was on June 10, the day after Joran had confessed and the day Joran was supposed to lead them to the body.

However, after Oduber’s speech, the confession was resended, in fact, had disappeared and someone followed the police to the rocks and filmed the happenings there. This included pictures of police cars and motorcycles blocking the area. The body of a blonde girl being removed from a rock and placed on a bush so the painter, a man in a white suit, could paint over the blood. There are other bodies recovered that day, as well, placed in bags. The camera person focuses in on Natalee after she is bagged up and placed in the water basin.

These films were posted to Scared Monkeys on June 14 by an unknown poster.

When questioned about the commotion at the rocks, ALE reported that a Columbian boy who had been missing for two years was found buried there (Lie) and that it had nothing to do with the Natalee Holloway case. This is the heart, in my opinion, of the cover up. Ordered and directed by Oduber, himself.

Also, there are pictures taken from the air of the Sloot house which includes a furniture truck which, as far as I know, doesn’t move any furniture in or out of their house. I believe that it was through the use of the furniture truck that Natalee was picked-up from the water basin and returned to the Van der Sloots.

These videos are available on the internet for your viewing. However, the work done by Carpe and others have made it possible for us to see who I believe is Natalee. It is my opinion that she was killed in a sacrificial offering to the gods of the Arawak Nation. Taunted for being a virgin and tortured because of her belief in God and applying those principals in her life. She was tortured both physically, mentally and spiritually in what is described as a celebration, dressed in a loin cloth.

It is for this reason that I believe that Oduber had Natalee disappeared, in order to not be held responsible for their pagan beliefs. Certainly, he was right; if the word got out that the Arawak are sacrificing young women and children in a pagan celebration that has been celebrated for centuries, there wouldn’t be anyone who’d want to visit the island.

It is for this reason, I support the boycott. The Arawak will continue thier celebrations until someone makes them stop and all we can do is try to prevent Americans from visiting there, reducing the possibility of this happening again, to one of us. Surely, they are continuing, which can explain why Aruba remains famous for being a human-trafficking center.

Natalee deserves justice and, perhaps, through her justice we can save others.

      Awemainta Newspaper May 6th,2008

      This is Dutch poster caesu’s
take on the Hans Mos piece.

      good article!

it says the OM has to be replaced soon.
because it is failing big time and in the Netherlands his collegaes are making jokes about the Aruban OM.

      next to the Holloway-case
he mentions the OM failing to win the FDDN-case.
Hendrik Croes being a lawyer for the government (conflicts of interest – brother Rudy Croes).
      no investigation into current politicians.
also the many deadly car accidents. prosecution start years afterwards.
no policy to prevent to many car accidents (higher fines, stricter alcohol checks).
      many terrible murders.
nothing done to handle the many drug addicts.
disrespect for victims (a victim send a letter and this letter got lost). this victim still got no answer.
how can the OM fight crime if they loose such letters and don’t answer a simple question.
Hans Mos appears on tv programs or is in the parlaiment (when the strikers took it over).
when one calls the OM nobody is there or they are having a course abroad.
next PG (after Nico Jörg) is going to have a difficult time

which paper is this? this is very good article. the writer hit the nail on the head.although there is obviously a lot more going wrong with the OM but that won’t fit in on one page.
! forward this article to Hero Brinkman !

who is going to be the next PG. is this been anounced yet?
he takes office in July i think. i probably is a crony of Rudy Croes.
but if we are lucky Nico Jörg had a say in this and it is going to be a more competent one.
i wonder why the new PG isn’t yet known. or widely known at least.
i suspect Rudy Croes is having a hard time to put his crony in this position as the Dutch politics is watching the islands now due to all the talk about corruption (thanks to Brinkman).

i also read today in Amigoe that the OM has overspent their budget.
especially due people getting promoted to higher positions.

      WHATS OM

    28. Dan on May 7th, 2008 11:28 pm

Okay, so we’re not supposed to blame the victim. But, for there to be a ‘victim,’ shouldn’t there be a crime? Oh, I guess Natalee could’ve fallen victim to bad luck or an accident, but what crime was committed? Is there evidence of rape? Evidence or murder? Evidence of anything?

Sadly, there’s not. That’s why we hear “no body, no crime.” Yes, it’s convenient for a perpetrator, but do keep in mind, in most countries (US excepted, of course), something more substantial than an accusation is required to win a conviction. Something like evidence. A bad alibi is not evidence; a changing alibi is not evidence. Cell phone and pay phone records are evidence. Video tape from security cameras is evidence. The rest is circumstantial and mostly worthless.

I don’t think Joran is particularly clean, but what he’s guilty of, none of us can say (without real EVIDENCE). Perhaps, he’s guilty of failure-to-render-aid? Perhaps something more. But, he’s not free because of corruption or poor investigative work. He’s walking the streets, because the prosecutors couldn’t PROVE he had committed a crime. (Well, other than obstructing justice, lying to the police, etc.) They couldn’t prove he had committed THE crime, because they couldn’t prove that ANY crime had been commited, because of a lack of Evidence!

If those with copious amounts of intellect that can tell Joran is guilty by looking at him (which is a crock of poo), if they would just bend the mighty weight of their “intellects” to finding the body, that would be a greater service. The body would yield evidence; the evidence would answer the question of IF a crime was commited (and the follow up question of WHICH crime).

      And so on.

Innocent until proven guilty. Annoying and inconvenient, unless you happen to be the accused. I hope every hateful poster on this site gets the honor of being falsely accused, so they learn to appreciate what the Bill of Rights and the Rule of Law do for us.

One more catty comment: an interesting twist; had this “crime” occurred on US soil, we could only assume that Natalee was on the lam; after all, she could face the statutory rape allegations in some states, because she was 18, and Joran (at the time) was a minor (17).

Get busy, brains! Find her! Find Natalee, and the truth will be known.

    30. kaye on May 8th, 2008 7:37 am

on the subject of hans mos……FYI……found this article.

Hans Mos, the chief public prosecutor in Aruba, heads up the investigation in the case of the missing American teenager Natalee Holloway. On Thursday 24 January 2008 crime reporter Peter R. DeVries showed him the most significant shots from the undercover camera operation. The lead investigator’s response was upbeat and immediately announced the opening of a new investigation.

Peter R. DeVries: “Yes mister Mos, this seems to me what you and you’re people have been dreaming of the past few years, a confession of Joran, isn’t it?”
Hans Mos: “Yes, when you look at it, and you have shown me some material, this is very impressive, I think, when you see him explaining what really happened that night.”
Peter R. DeVries: “Joran has been hard as nails lieing all these years, if you hear the story”
Hans Mos: “Yes I see elements in this statement, which you can find in earlier statements, but he never gave the correct interpretation and never told the truth to us.”
Peter R. DeVries: “Isn’t it very disturbing if you see how America, Aruba and the Netherlands are under the spell of this case and now he carelessly gives an explanation in the front seat of a car.”
Hans Mos: “ Yes, I think so too, it makes an impression, it’s the first time he’s told it to somebody, it seems. This is his real ‘coming out’ in the case we have to say. You can see how he does it, that’s why it makes an impression. And that’s indeed disturbing, the fact that he was able to say nothing for two years. And what I find even more disturbing: he suggests all kinds of things incriminating other people. People that suffered because of it until this day. We have to work this all out, but if it’s true what he says, it’s indeed disturbing.”
Peter R. DeVries: “What stands out for me in this: the fact that it is a young man, not touched emotionally by this case. He talks about it thoughtlessly and with little respect to Natalee”
Hans Mos: “Yes, that was… I have also watched your program with Joran and his parents, where they spoke about the way he was raised and the way he treats girls. We know from the police report that that was different. It surprises me that it has been said like this. Anyone could have known that it was different and what his intentions usually were in the weekends when he went out with those kinds of girls, mainly American tourists. The way he talks about it shows very little respect and I find that quite shocking actually.”
Peter R. DeVries: “When Joran was released recently, it has been said: he is not a suspect anymore and the investigation of him has been closed. This will re-open the investigation again, I presume?”
Hans Mos: “Yes, this gives us reason to take a closer look at this case again. Look, we have to verify a number of things. Because, that is the miserable thing about this boy, he writes… I can remember vividly the headlines of De Telegraaf [a Dutch newspaper] a year ago: “I am still lying”. Look, we find in his statements now a number of key-points which can be confirmed in the police report, but we have to be sure now. That prompts a new investigation and we will do that.”
Peter R. DeVries: “But if he has lied about this, than he maybe cleared for Natalee case, but he should be locked up for being crazy. Don’t you think?”
Hans Mos: “It seems very unlikely to me that in such a conversation, set apart from the question how to value a ‘front seat’ or ‘back seat confession’… Anyway it’s a very convincing story, also because of the way how it came together, but we have to verify some things and we have to research this. If he is lying here then he hangs himself in an incredibly stupid way and that I do not believe, because he is an intelligent boy. And we’ve already experienced that.”
Peter R. DeVries: “Are you happy with this?”
Hans Mos: “On one side yes. On the other side it’s also perplexing to see what has happened and that causes some confusion. You’re being confronted with that fact. One is happy because it seems the case has been solved. That’s something we’ve been working on for two and a half years in which time we could never actually reveal the truth. People have asked sometimes: ‘Why can’t you complete this case?’ Because we lacked forensic evidence, we didn’t have the body, there were no witnesses. One has to depend in large part on the parties involved in this situation. Of these parties he was the most important and if he keeps his mouth shut or doesn’t tell the truth, it is extremely difficult for us. Now at least the truth is surfacing and with that we can at least wrap up the case.”

this is the sort of people beth/dave have been dealing with all along.evidence, proof right in their face and they just can’t see it. or choose not to see it to protect someone or something.

The suspect confessed twice, one on June 10, 2005
      and then on Patricks tape.

We heard no body, no case the day after Natalee went missing, because that’s what Paulus told the 3 suspects. Why was she called a body and they weren’t even suspects? They had already framed 2 black security guards and let them be held for kidnapping and murder. None of them went to look for her.

What bad luck for Natalee, she meets up with these 3 creeps and then becomes a victim of herself? Are you Dompig? Overdosed, buried herself twice. If Natalee was an accident victim, why would anyone go to such lengths to hide her body? Most people on a consensual date, if their date gets sick, they call for help, not throw them under a bush and call some friend to go dump them dead or alive, while you go home and sleep just fine. You get rid of a body for a reason. Looneyyy Tunes.. Oh I forgot in Aruba they have this place where “you go sit on the beach to look at stars at 3am” and this alien spaceship beams you up.

And your comment about Natalee being held for statutory rape , are you for real????? So now Natalee raped Joran? Number 1, Joran came to where the Mountain Brook Students were that night, underage,in the casino Number 2, He lied about his age and who he was.. Number 3, He went underage to Carlos n Charlies with his VIP pass where Natalee and her friends were. Now who is stalking who? No doubt had he stayed home that night, Natalee would’ve made it home to Alabama just fine. One would surely, if they had any common sense, know the person missing for 3 years is the victim here. One more thing for you.. If this was in the USA.. right off the 3 last suspects would’ve been brought in, separated right off, interrogated, search, body and property searched and this would’ve been over and solved in a week. Anyone with half a brain knows who is responsible for what happened to Natalee.

You people stop at nothing with the most ludicrous stuff to try and defend the most outrageous Bull S..t..

I think you were asking if anyone had ever heard that Joran drowned a kid at one time. I’ve searched high and low, but I can’t find anything that mentions this. I do know that bullies love to scare people by holding them under water.

When my son was about 12, I would take him to the country club swimming pool. I never would leave him alone, because the lifeguards were always playing grab-ass with each other and not watching the kids (crude, I know; but it is the best and most accurately descriptive colloquialism I could come up with.) I watched a kid torture smaller kids and hold them under the water. He had them horrified. One kid, he held under so long, I was just about to intervene when the bully let go of him. He had swallowed a little water, and had to cough for 2 or 3 minutes to get his breath. I told the kid (who I didn’t even know at the time) I was going to call his mother. He gave me all kinds of “mister you’re so inappropriate looks” and then left.

After the deal at the pool, I started seeing this kid everywhere. Everywhere I went, there he was. We even went to the same church.

Our church had a big room where the kids would meet, and one Sunday before church, I was in the room sorting papers for Sunday School. My son was playing pool, by himself. All at once, this kid I’ve been talking about entered the room (he never saw me). He approached my son from behind, and grabs him by the throat and begins chocking. This was about 3 years after the swimming pool episode, and my son was getting fairly big and strong. My son grabbed the kid’s hands and turned and twisted them. I could hear the joints popping, and the kid fell to the floor in pain. I walked out of the corner and told my son to come with me. We just left the kid there crying. (There wasn’t any long lasting damage. Nothing an ice pack didn’t fix.)

From the beginning, when I think of Joran, I think of this boy. He had an obsession with putting his hands on people’s throats and holding them under water.

I had a fear for what this boy might do to someone in the future; but at a young age, he was hit and killed by a drunk driver. It was very sad. His mother was deeply hurt, and has never recovered.

I sympathies with Natelees mother how horrible it must be for her not knowing what happen to her daughter.

      Jordan is a monster

But in defense of Aruba these boys are not Arubiaans, Arubiaans are not killers this is the first time something like this has ever happen in Aruba.

Carlos n Charlie is originally from Surinam they came to Aruba as teenagers.
The same goes for Jordan he is originally from Holland. They are not from Aruba
