Justice for Rebecca “Becca” McEvoy … Please do not let Becca be Victimized Twice (Part 2)

Becca McEvoy & her family need your help … Justice for Becca

The question that every one needs to ask themselves is should a victim of a crime be denied justice because they die? Should people suspected of heinous crimes be allowed to walk because their victim dies a part from the initial crime? Does that mean the crime never happened?

Please go to ipetitions and make your outrage be heard. Deceased victims of crimes and their families are allowed justice.

Becca McEvoy was a victim of sexual abuse. The story is beyond heart breaking. A child who was a victim of unspeakable crimes allegedly by her step father Bob Ingle. Becca then dies in a car accident before the trail ever takes place against the man who victimized her. Now, our legal system may do the same thing to the memory of Becca.

Please help this family and make this story be heard. Email the media and your State and Federal representatives. DO NOT LET A CRIME HAPPEN TO BECCA A SECOND TIME.

Horrible case, makes my heart bleed, but now I’m going to present the “other” side.

We are a nation of laws with a justice system. Our law says that an accused has the right to confront their accuser. This means that in real time one can hear the accuser, then the accused – then if one of the real time testimonies elicit questions, the question can be answered by additional live testimony instead of “guessing” what the answer might be.

IF the sexual abuse could be proved without the testimony of the child, then the case should go forward. But if it can’t – our law says it’s a dead case because it deprives the accused of his rights.

Sad if the father is guilty, but only fair to allow him his rights in case he’s not guilty.

But isn’t it common to see Judges allow children to testify by video tape?

They have her testimony let the jurors use that.

It was her step-father who molested her. Not her father.
How do infants, handicap, elderly or DEAD victim’s give testimony? They have her testimony!

      There is evidence.

I don’t want to believe we’ve become a nation more concerned about the process and the victims be damned!

I’ve sent many e-mails to the media. I hope others are doing the same. I’ve lit many candles at http://www.gratefullness.org for people from this site, but couldn’t figure out how to set one up for Becca. If there are any monkeys who know, I think it would be a nice thing to do.

Katablog… we should be a nation of laws that protect our children… ENOUGH of protecting the phedophiles.

This poor child testified three times and was on her way to testify again when she was killed, as far as I am concerned he molested her then killed her.

PUMA… I am grateful for you writing to all the media… I have been as well and I hope that everyone else does too.

Here’s a link to a beautiful song and picture for Becca’s family and friends.

I think video tape testimony is only accepted if the accused agrees. This also may be determined state by state.

Yes, we need to protect children, no question. But remember, there are kids (and I’m not saying Becca was one) who are coached to say they were molested. We have to protect everyone’s rights.

With all due respect. I don’t think you have ever had anything like this happen to you or one of your loved ones. Or you would have more empathy.

It is quite obvious by reading this story that the accused has MORE rights than the innocent victim.

DO NOT question the testimony of this poor child. She BRAVELY told her story to ALL the authorities. She did this tirelessly for 2 year. She told Dr’s and Grand Juries and therapist as well as friends and family. Her story NEVER changed or wavered. She was 11 when she died.

Rape victims have a difficult enough time just coping with what has happened to them. They need our help and understanding a lot more than the rapist does.

This is a very good thing what is happening now in the courts. Hopefully if it gets national media attention, like it deserves, it will serve a good purpose.

Becca is a HERO who deserves to be ADMIRED not spoken despairingly about.

I pray God gives you a better understanding of the victim’s of rape, hopefully without you having a loved one suffer the way Becca’s has.

I hope that Becca is up there in Heaven enjoying fun times and laughter! Hopefully, her family will gain peace one day from the good memories they had with her.

How many more children have to suffer or be killed
to satisfy another? Anyone that does this should be put away for life on the first offense and if they take a child’s life, they should lose their life. I have no sympathy for anyone that does this crime and our judicial system should not either.

rhonda, my heart bleeds for your family, I sent emails to every news organization to try to get more exposure for your family.

so, where are all the seekers of justice that the regulars here pretend to be? Oh they’re all busy posting all their outrage about travelers being inconvenienced at aruba’s airport. can it be any more obvious to people that come across this blogsite that members here don’t care about anything if it happens in the US. maybe if you put Aruba in the title your members would be here screaming for people’s heads.

katablog, talk about blaming the victim!!!!!!!!!! how sad all you can do is make excuses about US law when it comes to the case of this poor baby and the injustice of it all, but you never cared much about dutch law or anyones rights when it comes to natalees case though did you? true colors.

More disturbing news last night on the waroncrime blog radio show. Robin Sax was on with Aden McEvoy. To listen go to: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/True_Crime (It’s very 1st part of show.)

      • Robin Sax does good job of explaining Crawford vs Washington Law. Law causes problems prosecutors last 4 yrs.

      • Becca told little friend and mother who are willing to testify. Will they let it in? Or dismiss as hearsay?

      • Bob Ingle has more than 1 brother who are also pedophiles.

      • Bob Ingles’ own two daughters gave graphic testimony of the molestation they suffered for years by their father. They recently lawyered up and then recanted testimony.

      • Bob Ingle was allowed to move out of state and is living in a home with small children in MS.

      • Investigation has gone all over south and as north as Pennsylvania, taking testimony from victims. Not one yet willing to come forward and testify.

      • If Bob Ingle is acquitted he can apply for his old job back as a policeman.

      • Still no national news attention.

[...] An 11 year old girl is allegedly sexually assaulted by her step-father, Bob Ingle, and then because of a horrible car accident tragedy Becca is killed prior to the case going to trial. Bob Ingle was charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse. Thus, a man who committed repeated crimes against his step-daughter may walk because of the fact that an accused get to face his/her accuser. Is a victim of rape supposed to lose their rights because they die? [...]

I just want to know where the victim’s rights are for a speedy trial. This is the fifth time that this has been reset.” said McEvoy.

Rebecca’s Father Aden McEvoy is worried statements his daughter made before her death won’t be allowed as evidence in the trial, because of a law that guarantees the defendant’s right to cross examine a witness.

Defense requested postponement so they could sit down with medical exam doctor & discuss his findings. Request was originally made on april 2nd then rescheduled 2 more times, to give them the time they need to get med exam squared away. A month and a half isnt long enough?
