More Pictures of Eve Carson Murder Suspect “Person of Interest” Caught on Surveillance photos in NC … Crime Gang Related?

Police have released to the public more pictures of the main suspect “person of interest” in the murder of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill coed Eve Carson. The new photo shows the same suspect that was seen on the ATM video, attempting to use Eve Carson’s ATM card at a convenience store. Question: Did the clerk at the store not notice that the “person of interest” using the ATM card was a black male whose name was most likely not … Eve Carson as stated on her ATM? Was it reported to police at the time? Wouldn’t that be identity theft? Was the card confiscated or was the purchase allowed to go through?

AP/Chapel Hill Police Department; March 10:This undated image made from a surveillance camera shows a man police call a “person of interest” in the murder of Eve Carson.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. —  Police in Chapel Hill say they have found additional surveillance photos of the suspect in the slaying of University of North Carolina student body president Eve Carson.

Chapel Hill Police Chief Brian Curran said Monday that detectives now have a photo of the suspect attempting to use Carson’s ATM card at a convenience store.

Curran said the subject of that photo appears to be the same young man seen in two ATM surveillance photos released on Saturday. In those photos, the suspect is seen in a baseball cap and hooded sweat shirt driving a sport utility vehicle that may be Carson’s Toyota Highlander. (FOX News)

Chapel Hill, NC police are now looking into a possible gang related link to the senseless killing of UNC coed Eve Carson.

Chapel Hill police believe Carson’s killing may have a link to the Hoover Crips gang because of a retro Houston Astros baseball cap worn by a man caught on camera allegedly trying to use Carson’s ATM card.

The hats, which have an “H” emblem, are sometimes worn by Crips members. The gang has recently surfaced in the Chapel Hill area, according to authorities.

prediction – they will get this loser today

This man does not have the same facial features as the driver in the cap. This man, if involved, is most likely the dude in the backseat that we can barely see. Notice the hidden person in the backseat seems to have on a black jacket.

    3. mojo on March 11th, 2008 7:34 am

yes, apparently they’ve had one person come forward with an identity.

Something has to stop these murderers.

It looks like the same man because of his hair cut.

    6. chucknorrisstotalgym on March 11th, 2008 8:53 am

I bet the reason they have not found him yet is that the other gang members capped who was involved to take the heat of the gang.

Clearest surveillance shot I have seen in a long time……it’s just a matter of time for this guy.

Lesson to Aruba: Getting surveillance photos can produce results. But since you (Aruba) never wanted results in the first place, it is understandable that you wouldn’t bother.

“Something has to stop these murderers.”
Nothing will stop these thugs, it is a growing culture of hate. These people hide behind the excuse of retaliating for atrocities committed by racist in the past. Atrocities that most Americans of all races find repulsive, by the way. There is hatred in their music, here and throughout certain popular Carribean nations, that drives the messege deep. This I fear is the beginning of a new wave of hate crimes, if I am allowed to call it that, that will not end anytime soon. They are making any type of reconciliation impossible, and I think that is exactly what they want anyway. Listen to some hardcore rap on the radio and you will understand better. Most cities have these stations, just scan and you will find them. I feel so embarrassed for the people that have worked so hard, and the ones who have given there lives to try and unify this country, to see it all wasted by these thugs.

Now murder is not just coming from black and committed on whites. mUrders happen everyday black on black black on white white on white, etc…. I don’t think it was a hate crime and yes there is racism present still today but that is not the fault of theses young blacks. murder is werong no matter who comits it and I feel badly for the ones left behind to sudffer, but this event should not be made about race but on murder. how many whites have killed blacks becasue of the color of their skin? This was not racially motivated, maye socially or economically but I seriously doubt these lil ignorant blakc boys did not do this becasue she was white. It could have been a gang initiation whic is far more disgusting but this is the world we live in today.

    11. candy B on March 11th, 2008 5:08 pm

my apologies for the awful spelling above. I pray this incident does not stir up any racial tensions in the triangle.

    12. Mary Johnson on March 11th, 2008 5:48 pm

It looks as though the 2 photos at the the ATM machine and in the convenience store have 2 different suspects. Possibly the one in the convenience store is the indidvidual in black in the back seat of the car. In the timeline of all the events happening, I don’t think the suspect would have time to change his clothes. Plus the man in the convenience store has his hair pulled back and the other one does not. They look like brothers to me, but not the same person.

Somebody needs to put this guys light out permanently. Death penalty needs to be enforced. Their is no reason to put this guy in jail for life.
Cold blooded murder should require death penalty.

    14. katablog on March 11th, 2008 6:26 pm

It’s not a black or a white issue. It’s a society issue. Society is angry and self centered. It’s no respect for other members of society. It’s win at all costs, not matter how much lying stealing and whatever else it takes. It’s me, me, me. It’s entitlement.

We have people on another thread that think sex with prostitutes is a “private matter” instead seeing it as breaking the law.

    15. nym2000 on March 11th, 2008 7:21 pm

wral.com aslo says robbiers at UNC by 2 guys. Wonder if it is the same 2 that killed Eve. One way to look at this is Eve gave her life to save her classmate by letting them know that gangs are in the area. All Eve wanted to do was help her classmate and she might have saved them by her death! I think Eve was in heaven watching her 2 favoirte basketball teams win. Hope her spirts send UNC to win it all this year! Very nice that both teams wore ribbions in Dukes stadium.

    16. murph on March 11th, 2008 8:47 pm

The reward of $25,000 should have most of his family, friends, girlfrind, mom etc. telling who this slimly worthless, going to jail and hell sub-human dog is. Sorry thats all I have to say!

    17. hazzmatt on March 11th, 2008 10:58 pm

I find it hard to believe that this guy has not been identified. I hope the CHPD have been able to identify this thug with help from other PD departments and tips from the public. This guy may be familiar with other jurisdictions where some cop may recognize him. Hopefully CHPD has more info than they are releasing, cuz if not, they are bunch of bumpkins chasing a phantom gangster.

    18. Isabeau on March 12th, 2008 12:59 am

I doubt very seriously the store clerk checked the name on the card. Most stores don’t and will just swipe the card anyway. A few will ask if you want to pay by using as a credit or debit card. I’ve only been asked for ID a couple of times and apparently that was only because my card didn’t have a signature on the back. At any rate, I agree with several of the others on here…these thugs need to be apprehended and taken off the street before they do this to someone else’s child. I definitely believe in the death penalty when it comes to heinous crimes and any violent offenders who are a danger to society. Exhaust all efforts to make sure you’ve got the right guys, but once that confirmation is made, I say hang em high and let em swing! Our prisons are way to overcrowded anyway. No need to feed these people for 20 years while they sit back and file appeal after appeal. Justice should be served up swift and hard. God Bless the families of all who have lost loved ones to these kind of senseless crimes.

    19. misskatie on March 12th, 2008 3:39 pm

someone knows who this thug is.. they just dont want to turn him in..

    23. kate on April 5th, 2008 11:18 pm

Yes what these 2 guys did was vicious and very hateful. They should be punished for what they
have done; however, I do not believe the death
penalty will solve the problem. I have been a
licensed therapist for years, working with the
young generation. The issue raised regarding
their issue with “Entitlement” and it all me,
me, me is on the money. They are very selfish
as you say, and quite naive as well. They are
just so young and confused. Do not kill them
please.. Eve life was taken,, but to continue
“Killing” is allowing these guys to the power
to change the spirit we have inside us. They
do not deserve all of that. From experience, I
can promise you that “Life in prison” or longer
prison sentence period will burn out their fire.
These young “Bastards” you all label as, are not
the most skilled ones and don’t believe “SHIT.”
They think they are going to get away through what you saw with your very eyes on ABC News
by Robert Guy “Poor Probation Officers,, lane
ass Justice System.” This is real stuff that all of you need to hear,, with the courts, probation allowing them to slide through the system for too long before they actually get slammed with any serious consequences. Please listen carefully. Those 2 guys you saw are sitting there laughing at their officers as we talk. Been there with them and their “wanna be” cool ass remarks. The question is: Whose responsible? Both Demario and Lovette were on probation which means that they are not the most moral ones in the world. They have a criminal record– which already says what
to you all out there?? They should have been locked up long ago and not several months later. The probation officers should have been making ongoing visits with them and not having issues
of her own with charges of DWI and carrying a
concealed weapon. The flaw is in the justice
system,, because we knew not to expect anything
out of these 2 guys. Hell: D. Firearm charge was
a red flag and yet no one addressed it. He gets a pat on the back with being placed on probation rather than giving him some real prison time right then & there. The one officer truly needs to be fired all together, for not reporting any of her clients issues on paper. Not only is it embarrassing as “Robert Guy” puts it, but its flat out BOGUS. We are talkinga about officers who have never made contact with their clients. Then when they are confronted with this, they tell you: “Oh.. There is no guarantee that the
2 guys wouldn’t have been on the streets, even
with probation to guide them.” This defense is
called JUSTIFICATION. Sure they are no dummies
and knew what they were doing. But the facts
are: You are an officer whose supposed to have
your own life in order too. Get Down to work
with your own caseload and show them the right
path in life. Like I said before: If they are
already coming in with a history, it does not
take a lot to know who you are dealing with.
Dah.. If you can’t understand that, then get
out the fucken field. Point Blank! We have
officers who are not even aware of their own
caseload and when they have been arrested. I
will not accept or tolerate this behaviors.

    24. kate on April 6th, 2008 12:07 am

Many of you all say that the Death penalty should be given to them, but there is one thing I noticed
No one is stating rather or not it will actually work for them. One person said: It may.. or help
some to not kill. Bingo! You don’t really know if
this will stop these thugs completely. I can tell
you for fact that life in prison with the mental
torture is the solution for them. One thing for
sure I know about the younger ones are: They do
not like any type of structure whatsoever. They
are your most stubborn and don’t beleive SHIT.
They have to be made to “Feel” the pain of the
next person. And since they feel entitled to having so much for themselves, locking them up will not bring this entitlement to them. They
become preoccupied quickly with feeling fluster
by their lost of freedom. This kills them to
the very bone (particularly when you have the
right officers in place to confront them.) You can burn their fire out, by merely attacking
their PRIDE. TRUST ME (this is how fragile they
are and you are not aware of.) They will take the slightest feedback given to them personally. They are not as in “Control” as you all are seeming to give them credit for. They do not deserve publics
attention like this, as if they really did something. They haven’t done shit, but hurt
themselves. They are the one whose facing the
judge decision regarding what happens to them
now. You don’t see Demario laughing. Now do
you? He was very nervous, and quite humble in
court (shaking his head at his own mess.)
