US Liberal Media Should be Ashamed … Fewer US Dead in Iraq … means Less Media Coverage

It does not get any more disgusting when you bet against the very hero’s that keep our country safe from tyranny. God Bless our Troops. The American people want success in Iraq, how come the liberal media doesn’t and will not report it? As disgusting as this is … we all need to wake up and take a look at reality. The liberal media in the US has one agenda and one alone. Attack any policies by Republicans and portray them as failures to get Democrats elected, such as  George W. Bush’s policy in Iraq. The media wants to make it look like a defeat. Nice agenda … to be anti-America and anti–US soldier. This is sick and they should be utterly ashamed of themselves. The minute that US soldier deaths go down, so does the liberal media coverage goes down as well.

One year later, the President’s surge strategy is well on its way to succeeding. The Iraqi parliament has passed several laws meeting required political reconciliation benchmarks. Attacks in Baghdad have fallen up to 80 percent in the past twelve months, Reuters reported February 16. Deaths among Iraqi military forces and civilians have dropped by more than two-thirds, from more than 2,000 per month in early 2007 to fewer than 600 per month since November. And U.S. military deaths have also declined, falling from 126 in May 2007 to 40 in January 2008 and just 29 so far in February, with two days left in the month. Yet this good news seems to have diminished the media elite’s interest in broadcasting any news from Iraq.

What is more perplexing is the lack of the media to jump on the words of Angelina Jolie.

“such as George W. Bush’s policy in Iraq.”
Oh my god ! Can you honestly, truthfully say that you find that good ?
It was a raging disaster, a cowboy act that backfired big time.
Was it correct to Napalm Sadams troops (yes burn them alive), these were human beings who had no choice whatsoever, it was fight or die. If we were going to free anyone those poor bastards needed freeing, but nooooo, we toasted them (just in case).
You all went to school, know that every class had a Bush, someone who could get away with almost murder but still come up smelling of roses, its still a mystery how could so many people be so naive.
Now the rest of the world hates us and rightly so, you call it good what this idiot did ?
Even suggest that the world is a safer place because of George W ?
Look at his eyes when he lies to the world, just look into them, do you think he really gives a damn about the
      children of this world ?
If the mother of a toasted Iraq soldier turned up on your doorstep with a photo of her 18 year old son asking why you
support such mass murder, what would you say to that mother ?

Well I agree with you that the media is not showing the success of the surge and thats absolutely outrageous, but if the deaths go down – its just natural that the coverage would go down because theres not as much news to report. I’m no expert, so maybe I’m wrong and I’ll leave it to you to duke it out.

      #2, please take your meds.

This is not about whether you support the war as you would never support any war.

This is about a liberal media agenda not providing good news and salavating on the bad,

I’d ask her kindly to stop ringing my doorbell,

or lest I’ll poke her f-ing good eye out…

the one Saddam and his Right Wing Guards

did not get the first time around.

Saddam’s fat ass died swingin’ by a rope!

That was quite a painless death
as far as dying in Iraq goes!

This man gassed, burned, and electrocuted
millions of living human beings. You seem to conveniently want to forget about those
      people.

If the liberal media is successful in it’s support of socialist (read far left) idealism in this country, it is signing it’s own death warrant. The first industry to be controlled is the media. Agenda driven reporting is not news, it’s propaganda. Selecting only (or primarily) those events that serve that agenda is dishonest and dangerous.

I dont even watch the news anymore except for Fox.
The big 3 networks seem to want to brainwash all of us. I dont understand what has happened to the news industry in the last 50 years. It is scarey!

    9. DISCUSTED on March 1st, 2008 11:02 am

I am so sick of these left winged loones that have a bias and want to brainwash us. I will only watch fox as it is fair and shows both sides which you will never get from the other stations. We can’t go through life condeming war because sometimes it is absolutely necessary. would we be as powerful as we are if we didn’t go to war at times? You know the answer but will you admit it you war haters. grow up!

He was bad that is for sure, but most, if it was millions he killed, were killed using US weapons given to him by Donald Rumsfeld, and with the blessing of the US.
The fact that he later dared to enter the big game of Oil, was the incident which suddenly turned him into the enemy.
Yes he was always a butcher, but did that worry Rumsfeld ?

Our liberal media is hurting/destroying everything the majority of Americans truly believe in. The war in Iraq only matters to them when they can report massive American soldiers deaths or when an American soldier can be perceived as out of line in the execution of his/her duty. The liberal media will never admit that our efforts are extremely important to the Iraqi people or that our troops are widely accepted as liberators from Hussein.

    12. Dolf on March 7th, 2008 6:38 am

fort. you have the right wing media to counter that.
