Nisreen Swedberg & Sarah Williams Claim Southwest Airlines Discriminated Against Them Because they were “Too Pretty”
We’re to sexy for your plane, too sexy for your plane … or maybe we’re just too vane. Any one who remembers Right Said Fred and the song “I’m too Sexy …” gets the joke. By the way girls … you’re not all that.
Just when you thought you had heard it all. Along comes a claim of
discrimination because of being “too pretty”. Coeds Nisreen Swedberg and Sarah Williams claim Southwest Airlines treated them rudely throughout their flight from Tampa Bay to Los Angeles.
One would think that maybe these two girls could be a bit more original in their story. Haven’t we heard heard this similar type story just recently from a Hooters waitress flying Southwest?
“I think they were just discriminating against [us] because we were young decent-looking girls,” Williams told TampaBays10.com. “I mean, nobody else on the plane looked like us except us. [The flight attendants] were like older ladies. We were younger. Who knows, they could have been just jealous of us because we were younger.” (Fox News)
Southwest Airlines stated that “the two passengers that are referenced in the media were using vulgar language, aggressive behavior, threatening gestures at 30,000 feet.”
‘Too Pretty’ College Students Escorted Off Flight
Two Florida teenagers claim they were kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight from Tampa to Los Angeles because the flight attendants may have been jealous of their good looks and youth.
Too pretty to fly, huh? A blogger goes after two snooty girls
Oregon Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist Stripped to her Underwear … Now Stripped of her Job
Not a smart career move to say the least …
Let this be a lesson to all those teenagers that think there are no consequences
to the risqué pictures that put up on MySpace. Just ask former Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist. The key word in that sentence was “former”. Carmen Kontur-Gronquist recently came under fire when she posted pictures of herself in her underwear on a fire truck on her MySpace web page. Needless to say that caused quite a response from her constituents. In a recall vote, Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist lost her job 142–139.
According to the person who spearheaded the recall drive, Ron Miller, the vote was 142 in favor and 139 against the recall of Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist.
She came under fire after she posted photos of herself posed in lingerie on a fire truck on her MySpace page.
