Obviously a seizure was involved.
Obviously, the cops were concerned about the cause of the seizure and wished it had just been a normal episode of an epileptic.
Obviously, the seizure was caused by something else other than epilepsy.
Obviously, the cops didn’t want the seizure to have been caused by something else.
Obviously, someone told the cops Natalee had a seizure.
Obviously, the seizure was the point from which Natalee’s fate too a downward spiral.
Obviously, the cops would not have asked about Natalee’s medical history involving seizure if they thought drugs were the trigger of her seizure….because no one could prove she did not ingest them of her own free will.
Obviously, there was something damning they were hoping was not the cause of Natalee having a seizure.
I think TAZER!
Tazers can cause seizures in non-epileptic persons!
I have always felt Natalee was tazered. All forms of bruises and cuts and other sorts of damage could be explained away by these pros and not followed up on EXCEPT if she had tazer marks on her. Then they’d HAVE to look at this as a crime!
BUt let’s not be too quick to think Joran tazered her. Maybe he did, but I rather think when Joran brought up the seizure issue again it was a message to the person who tazered her that he was still able to rat them out for their involvement if they did not make sure he went free.
I’d like to add…if anyone thinks Joran did not know Patrick was taping him, think again.
Patrick had gone to the cops first, before he went to Peter. Don’t tell me the cops didn’t get Joran clued in.
Do you think it was a coincidence that Joran was rearrested by Mos and held for questioning back in November just as Peter was getting Patrick’s Rover hooked up?..and the sting operation got delayed?
Maybe….yeah, maybe….they needed to get Joran squared away with what they needed him to say on those tapes.
No question in my mind that Joran did not know he was being taped with Patrick. He trusted Patrick. Joran is in vast need of friends and he really thought Patrick was his friend and that he, Joran, was going to benefit from that.
Part of the proof of that is that Joran called and called and called Patrick between hearing about the DeVries show and it actually airing (according to Patrick). Joran was stunned that Patrick wasn’t his friend, probably also trying to get information from Patrick for Joran’s lawyers to start their “poor little Joran’s innocent” but I think Joran also was blown out of the water.
Again I say, Joran’s life is a pile of dirt. He will always have to wonder if anyone attempting to “befriend” him is really after his confession. Remember, Patrick played this out for 6 long months!
No one in their right mind will hire Joran for dog catcher. He’s dropped school (good idea since an education won’t do squat for him). Joran didn’t have celebrity status going for him like OJ, nor does he have a pile of money.
Paulus and Anita need to wake up and smell the coffee. But the only reason why they haven’t has to be because Paulus goes down with Joran. So now we have a father who supposedly loves his son so much that he would do anything for him. Ah, but the only thing Paulus can do for Joran is leave him in this life of “nothing” or rat himself and Joran out. Well Paulus, do you love Joran enough to turn yourself in? Do you realize that Joran’s life is OVER if you don’t?
Maybe Paulus has some drug lords he can rent Joran out to.
digustedmom – Joran had NO idea he was being taped. Zippy. Nada. Nope. His body language speaks differently. He feels at ease in that car. He feels at ease around Patrick. His descriptions of what happened and his descriptions of Natalee speak LOUDLY to his NOT being known he was being taped. The same with the slip of the cell phone smuggling by Paulus during his first arrest. The police in the Netherlands aren’t corrupt like in Aruba, he didn’t know.
i don’t think he knew he was being taped. i also don’t think there is much actual truthfulness in what he says. events he described before natalee died are the bragging of mr. studly and, of course, leaves him blameless for causing her death. the events he described after her death have been obscured to the point of lying to protect himself and whoever helped him. jvds is pathological liar and sociopath, but he’s not stupid. he’s never going to give anyone a handle to hold him by.

Not a coincidence that the questioning by the ALE about a “seizure” was not mentioned by Beth and Jug for two years. I do not believe they were asked a dozen times, I do believe they were asked about the meds in Natalee’s room, and nothing more. I also know this will be removed because no one is supposed to questions the lies of the Twittys.

I think you hit the nail on the head. “he’s never going to give anyone a handle to hold him by.” Couldn’t have said it better myself!
And to #1: a tazer? Really? Maybe that would be a slight possibility, not to be overlooked, but I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket!!! Joran is a big guy. A strong guy, I’m sure. He’s got his bare hands and his temper. Could a hard blow to the head cause a seizure? Could certain drugs cause a seizure, such as GHB? Where’s a medical doctor when you need one? Or, maybe Joran is lying about the seizure. So many questions, and too much corruption to cloud the truth!!!
But one thing I’m dying to know is, why did the family of Natalee get asked about this seizure issue within the first couple days? THAT is what I wanna know. Was there a confession from the absolute get-go? Did the FBI get some leaked information they weren’t supposed to really share with the family? What the hell is going on here??!!!

Just curious…why do you think the Twitty’s did not mention this fact for two years? (if that is in fact true, I don’t know if it is or not). And do you know what kind of meds were in Nat’s room?

Joran mentions ‘movie’….he knew he was being filmed!
It goes like this….Joran says what Natalee was experiencing was just like in a movie….What movie, Joran? That’s not like something you see in a movie all the time to where he should make such a reference. Joran said Movie to let Patrick know he knew he was being filmed and was NOT a moron….Joran would have to let people know he was not a moron while playacting as if he were stupid enough to tell anyone any sort of confession….so he WOULD give a subtle hint to Patrick. And ‘movie’ is perfect.

I don’t even know why these questions are asked everybody knows Joran did this crime and his father helped him he wasnt going to tell Patrick his helpers real name you could tell by his facial expression when he told Patrick this Daurys name. Why else would this “Friend Daury” at 21 years old tell Joran go home go on the computer make an alibi for yourself go to school and go to the casinos so you will be seen on camera? that doesnt sound like instructions from a 21 year old kid, it sounds like instructions given from someone who knows the LAW so his dad helped him. Aruba is so worried about all this attention media cover and tourism for a 3 year old kid well Aruba arrest this KID already and it will be over with. Myself personally will not go to aruba unless Aruba steps up to the plate and arrest this kid who has ruined there islands repuatation. I want to go to Aruba but i will not in fear if something were to happen to me My family would have to go through these weird laws that dont make any sense.
ALE asked Dave, Beth and Jug about this in the first few days after Natalee’s disappearance. So this whole seizure thing came up then, long before Patrick taped Joran. It brings up many other questions: Who told this story about seizures? Who knew about it? If true, who witnessed it? Did ALE ask about it to verify Joran’s or Deepak’s story? Also, if Beth, Jug and Dave answered “yes” and her death could have been explained away by that, would ALE have produced her body? Did they help dispose of Natalee’s remains? When did ALE realize that there was more to Natalee’s death than too much alcohol and a medical problem?
One of the Kalpoe’s statements to police says that Satish wakes up on Monday and asks Deepak how the girl is doing. Sounds as if they were all there when Natalee had this seizure. What J2K didn’t know is that it could have been caused by GHB or a blow to the head. Dennis Jacobs, a drug enforcement officer, would know that.
A former police chief Stanley Z…. said that he thought the case had been solved in the first few days but the Chief of Police, Jan Van der Straaten, may have looked the other way as a favor to a friend.
Paulus says that a lot of people would get hurt if he told everything. Rumors that some know more than they’re saying but are afraid.

My advice: you may want to keep your opinions to yourself when your out in public, unless having people think your creepy,laughable and socially unacceptable is your goal. I’m just sayin!
isn’t it common pratice that if somebody goes missing the police asks if that person was on medication?

Its one thing to ask about meds, its quite another to ask specifically only whether someone had a history of seizures to make it fit JVDS’s BS story.
Why not ask about depression, heart disease … etc?
To only ask about seizures and them continue on that same line of questioning is suspect. It certainly shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that the ALE was privy to this Joran story w/in 48 hours and did nothing.
