Once again we will state the obvious and what we have said from the very outset of this case … AN INNOCENT PERSON NEVER HAS TO LIE!!!
Take a good look Aruba and the rest of you who have been defending the actions of Joran Van der Sloot. Those who have vilified Natalee’s family and blamed them for her death and saying some of the most vile things; take a good look at the basket you have put your eggs in.
Joran Van der Sloot is now using lying as a defense in his involvement in the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Once again, when the rubber meets the road, Joran Van der Sloot says, he lied.
Now Joran Van der Sloot is is stating that he lied on the secretly recorded audio and video tapes where he is saying that he was responsible and had involvement in her death and disappearance. Van der Sloot states he was bragging. You were bragging about the death of another person, what kind of sick individual are you?
What must your parents and your attorney Joe Tacopina think of your actions. They have all but gotten you off of an obvious murder and complicity in Natalee Holloway’s death and their little boy, who obviously cannot be controlled, could not keep his mouth shut. Has it ever been more obvious between wine throwing, past acts in his childhood and now this, Joran Van der Sloot was never controllable.
(So Joran, where are your shoes?)
There is one very important fact not to be over looked when viewing these up coming audio and video tapes from Peter R. De Vries involving Joran Van der Sloot … Joe Tacopina, Joran’s parents, and Joran can never say the tapes are fake. By Joran’s now attempt to diffuse his getting caught by a friend who was wired and stating that “he was lying”, Joran has admitted the tapes are authentic.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) –
Beth Twitty, the mother of missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, says that she’s now convinced her daughter is dead after watching hidden camera footage of a Dutch student allegedly acknowledging involvement.
She told a Dutch newspaper (De Telegraaf) in an interview published Saturday, “I can let her go now and begin mourning,”saying the one percent of hope she had that Natalee was still alive is gone.
Joran van der Sloot yesterday denied that he had anything to do with Holloway’s disappearance in Aruba in 2005, saying he lied when he told someone privately he was involved.
Van der Sloot was interviewed by the respected Dutch television show “Pauw & Witteman” following reports that crime reporter Peter R. De Vries had captured him making statements about the case.
That interview is expected to be released Sunday.
It was not known whether Twitty had heard of Van der Sloot’s denial before she spoke with the Dutch newspaper.
Twitty, who is in the Netherlands at De Vries’ invitation, was not available to speak today, according to Peter Schouten, a spokesman for the crime reporter’s show.

I just read Doctor Hodges latest remarks and he is wrong on at least one issue. The Gottenbos’ moved to Dacula Georgia and not back to Holland. As far as we know; Keon is in Holland. Sander is in Ga with the other Mama and Papa.

Suspect was once again informed of the statements that were made by his friend Freddy and people close to Freddy. The suspect was informed that he had stated that he and the girl went for a walk. And that there was a statement of someone that saw Deepak Kalpoe’s car at a location that was several hundred yards away from the Fishermans hut. He was asked about the logic of this and other issues and whether he can explain why he was there with the other boys in that particular location. The suspect did not respond.

On the same day around 02.30, I saw that “M” walking with the slim white man from the northern direction to the direction of the “Marriott Hotel” met and with the slim white man stood under a hut. I must note that at this same moment a group of the American students came naked out of the water on the sand and were putting their clothes on.
On your question if I know the man nicknamed “G” or “J”, who is regularly at the Holiday Inn hotel, answer I you no. On your question if I was approached on Monday, May 30, 2005, in the night time hours, by a couple who were also staying in the Holiday Inn Hotel, with a story about two men and a drunk girl were on the sand north of the hotel stumbling or falling, answer I you no. Nobody approached me with this story.
The couple must specifically say who they had reported this to. You must ask this also of the other guards. I did not hear it from the other guards either. The guards names are “Ramon”, “Campo”, “Arroyo”, “Perez Ramirez”, “Stewart” and “Canchano“ had night shift at the Holiday Inn Hotel.

I agree with Dr. Hodges; the Kalpoe boys are not innocent in this rape/murder. Hodges says that confessions are normally partial truths with lies too. Kalpoes were seen with Joran at 2 am by the Racquet club. Kalpoes vigorously scrubbed their car top to bottom upon returning from the attack on Natalee and they were included every step of the way with Paulus in the cover up.
This was a 3 on 1 scenario from start to finish. Let’s everybody keep your eye on the ball this time. Joran has led us down his trail of lies many many times.
The boat participant will be discovered. Joran will make certain he does not go down alone for his crimes. He will reveal the others in good time.
Tacopina was on Geraldo yelling his head off. Someone should warn him that much stress is bad for the heart – oh wait a minute, that only applies to someone with a heart.
Joran’s confession is some reports is not about another person and a boat, but that he himself walked out into the water with Natalee’s body. Guess we have to wait until tomorrow to find out which scenario he really gives.
Greta is sounding and acting more like Rosie O’Donald every minute. She has some audience but uses her access to bridge odd conclusions.
I do find it ‘strange’ that her slant and defference is always towards Joran and Joe Tac. Dissenting opinion is certainly a right, but to repeatedly defend someone who has been proven to have lied to YOUR FACE, brings distrust to the table of judgment.
when Joran finally coughs up certain truths, I think several to-date-unnamed people will be indentified for involvement in affairs & enterprises that would have been best never been uncovered. Aruba’s 10 dirty secrets will be aired for all the world to see, and Joran will become history.
Compared to the memeory of Natalee, Joran will never be more than a footnote.

Sander admitted in a police interview that he offered Joran a ride in his boat the day of Natalee’s disappearance — connecting Joran to the boat that day. Extremely strikingly, the day after Natalee disappeared the Gottenbos family removed the boat from the water (after the boys had used it in the ocean for a long time several days a week), sold the boat not long afterwards, and moved back to Holland within the next year. (Thoughtprint decoding of Sander’s police interview strongly suggested he was involved in disposing of Natalee’s body and very guilt ridden.)

I am a diver and I can tell you for a fact in that part of the world even in deeper water enough of the body would be preserved to make a positive identification of the person, even if the body were in deep water for years and years. Beyond that any other forensic evidence would be difficult.

Lisa #30, I have had boats all my life of one size or another. As a matter of fact, where I live, I am surrounded by water. I remember a short 16′ speed boat I had some years ago that was powered by a modest 35hp Johnson. It was nothing fancy, but once wind subsided in the evenings, and the top water was fairly calm, she would have NO PROBLEM scooting 10-15 miles and a good clip to boot.
I monitor the Persistence blog every day, and note that they have made mention several days about working the grid where fisherman refer to as “don’t go there”. It’s rough. What I don’t know is if the top water, currents, and wind curves are the same in January as they might be during the month period Natalee went missing. I think John S and the boys have taken that into consideration.
I don’t see a problem “if” Joran called a “friend” and the 2 of them loaded Natalee into a metal trap, and the 3-4 of them powered out. The boat could take it, the motor (I don’t know how many HP) should also be sufficient to move the weight. After dumping the trap, the boat would be lighter and return to shore would be a piece of cake IMO. The strenght of currents and wave rolls change with the moon and seasonal currents. I don’t know which boat they used or who owned it. The speculation of “knowing” has been bantered many times on S.M. Still, we won’t know more until the probable suspects are sweated.
The bones could tell alot. They could tell how the person died. How many injuries there were. The type of weapon and could even tell us what may have happened after death.

agree with your comments 100%, DNA is cleansed after a long period of time in salt water. I don’t care for the subject, however……if Natalee’s remains are located in cold water, we need a forensic expect like Dr. Michael Baden to autopsy what is recovered. The man is like God…he knows whatever needs to be known. I have considered that larger deep swimming preditors most likely would not be able to enter the trap if it was constructed as how I might imagine, but there are other creatures that feed on the bottom. (Sea worms) Sorry ladies. Still, whatever might be recovered would be a plus. If I might, a perfectly true event:
The family who lives next door to my son had a full funeral 9 months after 9/11. The husband worked at Cantor Fitzergerald in the Trade Center. NYC Forensics called the wife one day that they identified a portion of her husbands remains and she needed to travel into NYC to retrieve it. They used DNA to identify thousands of remains found in the rubble. The woman was handed a 2″ piece of bone in a container, and that’s what she buried. She was greatful since it brought her some measure of closure.
I hope Beth, Jug and their families have the same good fortune.

in some parts of the world, yes there are certain organisms which would leave nothing left of the actual body, including bones. But not in the Caribbean. The organisms/conditions do not exist there. They do exist in more temperate ‘colder’ waters, much further from the equator.

brie, the “crab” cage has been described as a heavy metal/steel-like container. It’s weight alone, even w/o 100 lbs of contents would be enough to sink it to the bottom. Depending on currents and movement of mid-water, an object does not always sink straight down. Think of the Titanic, or other vessels. Once they break under the surface, they may actually settle to the bottom sometimes mile(s) away. Then as time goes on, currents “could” move the cage even further, possibly.
Since the exact drop off location of the cage is unknown, the Persistence must sonar scan miles of seafloor in workable grid sections. The seabed is loaded with rock, rotted sunken vessels, reefs, etc. These “blips” must be found, plotted, and the largest “vessels” eliminated as non-high value targets. It is painstakingly slow, and extremely difficult.
Their choice to drop Natalee into “deep water” would be the smartest move, and the boat suggested to be involved with the deed would be capable IMO, but….were the killers that smart at the moment? That’s debatable.
Big question why Aruba would need to wait for the broadcast to arrest Joran. Supposedly deVries already shared the information. What – is aruba using the Clinton play book to see what polls say?

I hate to say I told you so….but I said Joran was trying to impress the person he confessed to. That’s why he was bragging…to impress.
And I do personally think he is lying about the details he provided. I think he is copying what he thinks people believe and has centered it around the ocean search.
I do NOT think he is lying that he knows what happened to Natalee!
Still, they have a confession! And even though Joran has now said he lied I think they should just arrest him and take this thing to trial!
One of the problems with this case has been that Joran has repeatedly lied. And everybody tries to think for him too much and figure out IF he lied, what parts might be lies etc. The courts need to go ahead and take him at his current word. Take him to trial for disposing of a body he was not sure was dead as he admitted to. Let his defense attorneys go ahead and try to PROVE he is lying.
It’s time to stop letting Joran lead the way with his continuous lies! There comes a point when the courts need to stop thinking around the confusion Joran creates and trying to figure him out, and now is the time! Now that he has confessed, let it stand!

On the flip side, I wonder if Joran did find out about a week ago when Mos got the tapes that he had been set up. Hmph! Of course he did! Duh.
And I’d wager a bet Joran knew it when he threw the wine, so he knew it before Mos got the tapes. He just didn’t know exactly what was on them until Mos got the tapes.

My 2 cents about Natalee having been dumped in the ocean….
Too convienient. The most obvious place for an island.
And it would require more than one person to do it. Hence, at least one too many people.
The fish trap that was suspect had been sitting behind the huts for such a long time the ground around it was stained with rust. No one would notice it missing that first night because obviously no one had been using it for quite some time.
The only way I’d buy the fish trap story is if ALE asked a fisherman-that first night- if he could find anything missing and the fisherman went and looked at that point and discovered the trap missing.
Still the trap was heavy, needed a larger hole to be made in it before a body could be fit inside it, and we’re back to more than one person participating in the act and it would have a taken a bit of time. And gee…do you think this might not have been witnessed there at the huts?
I still don’t think Natalee was put into the ocean. And I still don’t think Joran got any of his friends to help get rid of a body they didn’t have any fault in causing to die. Joran did what he always does…calls Pappa!

I’m going out on a crow-eating limb here with this OPINION….
Natalee was trafficked as a way out, via Paulus VDS after she was taken to the VDS house after Joran left evidence of rape and assault on her and she was threatening to tell. Beth arrived too soon while Natalee was still at the VDS house, and that left Paulus unable to let her go after being unwilling to let her go until Joran’s evidence was off her.
I think this confession of Joran’s was contrived with the help of Paulus and his cronies to end this case without having to mention anything about trafficking, although I do not think Joran knows what his daddy did with Natalee.
Whether or not Natalee is still alive within the trafficking industy is questionable and not very likely. Hence, it was time to confess she was dead in a way that Joran was led to believe would not get him charged with anything while giving Beth closure in the form of ‘no sense looking for Natalee or her path anymore’.
In short…Natalee was not so unconscious as Joran wants us to believe. She, in fact, knew too much to be set free.

Joran is not smart. His brain is fried from too much teenage drinking and doing drugs.
I can’t believe how many people, Not you miss underestimated, think Joran is smart. The news people keep saying it! But Joran is NOT smart!
He’s also not advanced his abilities to reason beyond just lying right off the bat.
Reasoning is a large part of intelligence. Joran doesn’t exhibit any abililty to reason beyond some 2 year old who tries to see how much he can get away with based on his own limited knowledge. His limited knowledge has increased beyond a 2 year old of course, just not his belief that no one else is smarter than he is.
Hence, Joran is not smart at all….which means someone else is behind all this coverup.
OH, and whoever is behind it helping Joran, Joran is a huge liability! This person would be sweating and eating and sweating and eating and taking sleeping pills? This person would not be drinking anymore.

Disgusted Mom … I also haven’t renounced totally the idea of trafficking. Those people who have seen the deVries info seem to be saying that this will allow Aruba to wrap up the case.
But as Jug Twitty said, we’ve been down this road before. And now we know that Joran has disavowed what he said on the tapes … though I don’t think anyone will believe him.
We know that Beth has said she has no more doubts left that Natalee is dead. The balance of probability definitely seems to tilt that way.
But we don’t yet KNOW. Let’s hope and pray that deVries has enough on Joran to prove the case and get the stinking animal jailed forever … and any accomplices he might have had.
It hasn’t happened yet.

All I know is My three girls or anyone in my family would not even consider going to those nasty countries. Countries that Take advantage of tourists, defend crooked cops, judges and let murdering lying rapists loose again on society. But Most of all I pray To My Heavenly Father That All those involved with the Murder and Covering up for these scum of the earth, Feel the full wrath of God! I Pray that they recieve 100 fold for the pain they brought natalie’s family and friends. Even wrath to those who condone that type of behavior. Amen
