Oil Drops to $88 a Barrel … Why does the Price at the Pump not Follow? Trump Says OPEC & Oil Companies Ripping Us Off
The price of oil has dropped to approximately $88 a barrel amid economic concerns
and the concern that demand for oil consumption will follow. In mid-July 2008 oil was selling for a yearly high of $147 a barrel. So with oil falling 40% since July, why does the national gas average not reflect the same? So why has the price at the pump that reflected these price changes?
At $88 a barrel and falling one would think that the price presently should be under $3.00 nationally. So why isn’t it? Once again, where is the Federal Government and namely the Department of Energy providing oversight? The irony is that the DOE has a web page promoted to reporting price gouging & fixing. So how does one report that the entire practice of oil companies is price fixing and the DOE just turns their head and allows it to happen?
U.S. crude settled down $6.07 at $87.81 a barrel after hitting an eight-month low of $87.56. London Brent crude fell $6.57 to settle at $83.68 a barrel.
Crude prices have plummeted from a peak over $147 a barrel set on July 11 as high fuel prices and the growing financial crisis slow oil demand in top consumer the United States and other industrialized nations.
However, at $88 a barrel one would think that the cost of gas would be below $3.00 a gallon. Imagine what our economy would be doing today if people had more disposable income of their own and were not gouged on a daily basis to fill up their gas tanks. If OPEC is not manipulating the price it would seem that the oil compares are. Donald Trump spoke recently on CNBC as said the following,
“I consider myself to be a great capitalist, but I think the oil companies have been ripping off this country and the world for a long time,” Trump said. “I can see doing something against the oil companies. They’re making numbers–nobody’s ever seen numbers like this. They and OPEC and lots of people together are having a lot of fun.”

McCain Finally Brings a Gun to a Gun Fight and Hammers Obama on Character, Honesty and Blasts Barack & Democrats for Fannie Mae Failure
The Obama, Democrat lie has gone on far too long regarding the financial failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and who was to blame. How could McCain be to blame when he was calling for regulations and oversight as Democrats blocked his efforts?
FINALLY, FINALLY THE MAVERICK EMERGES … John McCain finally takes the gloves off and tomorrow nights Presidential debate in Nashville, TN stands to be a battle royal. As Wake Up America says, Its about Damn time. Michelle Malkins echos, “Maybe McCain does want to win: He finally attacks Obama on Fannie/Freddie”. A word of wisdom to the McCain campaign … don’t stop the fight until the fight is done.
Read the following remarks from McCain’s campaign stop in Albuquerque, NM. McCain blasts Obama and sets the record straight on the failing of Fannie Mae. Maybe Americans would be interested in what really happened and why it failed.
Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.
Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, “a good idea.” Well, Senator Obama, that “good idea” has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.
SOME STRAIGHT TALK FROM JOHN MCCAIN
My opponents touchiness every time he is questioned about his record should make us only more concerned. For a guys who has already authored two memoirs, he is not exactly an open book. It’s as if some how the usual rules don’t apply, and where other candidates have to explain themselves and their records, Senator Obama seems to think he’s above all that … All the people want to know is what has this man ever actually accomplished in government?

British Teachers’ Union Representative Chris Keates Says “Teachers Who Engage in Consensual Sex With Teen Pupils Shouldn’t Face Prosecution”
WTF!!! According to Chris Keates teaching is about reading writing and bedding your pupils. This is just what parents are looking for when they send their children off to school … predator teachers with no accountability for their actions. British Education Rep justifies predator teacers.
Chris Keates, a British teachers’ union representative has stated that teachers who engage in consensual sex with students over the age of 16 should not be prosecuted. 16? Why not make it 15 or 14 or 13 or 12 for that matter if one is using this insane logic? That is correct folks, sex laws are unfair to teachers as they should have no responsibility if a teacher has an affair with a student. Consensual sex? By the very definition it cannot be consensual when one is a minor and the teacher holds a position of authority.
Chris Keates, the general secretary of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers, said in an interview to be broadcast in the U.K. on Monday that teachers who have sex with pupils over the age of consent are guilty of a mere “error in professional judgment,” and should not be placed on the sex offenders register, the Mail reported.
“There is a real anomaly in the law that we are concerned about,” the Mail quoted Keates as saying. “That is that if a teacher has a relationship with a pupil at the school at which they teach—it could be an 18-year-old pupil—then that teacher can be prosecuted and can end up on the sex offenders register.”
Exactly what does Chris Keates thinks is going to be a deterrent from teachers having sex with their students, detention? Let’s just slap them on the hand and say don’t do it again. If teachers do not like the punishment of being labeled a sex offender, then don’t do the crime.

Obama’s Friends: So Barack Obama Claims he does not Know Terrorist Bill Ayers … VIDEO would Say Otherwise
Obama and Ayers, just two ships that crossed paths …
As Obama, the Left and the MSM want to say that Barack has no connection to unrepentant, terrorist Bill Ayers and that they just crossed paths … the evidence says otherwise. Crossed paths, it appears to be much more than that. As The Gateway Pundit states, “BILL AYERS GAVE BARACK OBAMA HIS START.” Don’t believe what the MSM says, believe your own eyes and ears.
Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School, who is working to combat legislation that would put more juvenile offenders into the adult system;…One hundred years later, the system is “overcrowded, under-funded, over-centralized and racist,” Ayers said.
Little Green Footballs: Ayers Was on Woods Fund Board with Obama When He Stepped on Flag. I guess Barack managed to miss this one as well as the many hate filled church sermons he attended.

Government Socialist Bailout: Wasn’t the Point of the Bail Out Package to Stabilize the Markets?
Wasn’t $700 billion supposed to stop this from happening? This is why quick fixes do not work.
The government, both the President and members in the House and Senate told the American people that the purpose of the $700 + billion bail out was to stabilize the markets. As Michelle Malkin points out that is hardly the case.
- Markets in Asia tumble amid fears of growing financial turmoil
- London plunges as banks pump billions into market
- US STOCKS-Futures tumble as credit woes fan global rout
- European Turmoil Hits U.S. Stock Futures
European, Asian markets plunge on crisis fears
Investors took scant comfort from Washington’s passage of a US$700 billion plan to buy bad assets from banks and other institutions to shore up the financial industry on Friday because of the uncertainty still hanging over the details of the deal and the degree to which it will help.
It would appear that Asian investors are skeptical of the bail out plan. This is wjy throwing money at a problem never works. A comprehenisve plan and method to fix the problem which created the crisis is needed. That and a couple of people behind bars. So much for the government having a clue that you do not correct capitalism with socialism.
Just when America thought that $700 billion was the answer to the American economic woes, the “Fed sees Lending to Companies, States as Next Crisis Fronts.” I guess the America tax payer is supposed to bail out everyone.

AP BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Palin is a Racist … AP Decries Palin Comments Against Obama are Racist
You know you are a racist when … you criticize any thing regarding Barack Obama. The MSM that cried wolf … Remember when the media actually cared about investigative journalism rather than running cover for a political candidate?
So now the Obama water carrying MSM is calling Sarah Palin a RACIST! AP says that Sarah Palin’s comments regarding Obama and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers are racist. UNBELIEVABLE. Welcome to the wonderful world of bias, partisan politics journalism in the United States where any one who makes an assertion or comment against Barack “The Chosen One” Obama is branded a racist. How dare Sarah Palin question Obama’s ties to an unrepentant terrorist.
Watch the Sarah Palin video at the Gateway Pundit.
By claiming that Democrat Barack Obama is “palling around with terrorists” and doesn’t see the U.S. like other Americans, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin targeted key goals for a faltering campaign.
And though she may have scored a political hit each time, her attack was unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.
Michelle Malkin, no truer words have been said … “Putting the “Ass” in “Associated Press.”
The liberal media would have everyone believe that there was no relationship what so ever between Obama and Ayers. How could they allow such knowledge to the people, that would be damaging to Obama’s candidacy. However, as Protein Wisdom points out there is plenty of evidence and references Stanley Kurtz and Steve Diamond, two of the only journalists actually interested enough to look into the relationship, Also HERE and HERE.
Stop the ACLU spells out the ridiculousness and absurdity of AP’s assertion. BTW, was this AP article news or an opinion piece? Sarah Palin questions Barack Obama’s close ties with a domestic terrorist, not because of Obama’s race. Palin is questioning his judgment.

OJ Simpson Attorney Yale Galanter Calls Verdict Pay Back … Nope Justice was Served 13 Years Later for a Different Crime
In the eyes of paid lawyers, O.J. Simpson is never guilty of his crimes … only juries are to
blame. Funny, OJ’s defense team had nothing but praise in 1995 when they were handed a victory. Interesting how it is only pay back when a defense attorney loses. When they win, they state the jury was wise and understood the case and over came their biases. OJ has made a habit of not just remaining secluded and counting his lucky stars for what occurred in 1995. This time OJ fought the law and the law won … JUSTICE SERVED!
O.J. Simpson learned 13 years too late that there are consequences to one’s actions. Had the original LA County jury actually done their job we would have never had to hear about Mr. Simpson ever again. But that is not the case and OJ was allowed to continue his reckless behavior until the law of averages caught up with him. In Vegas the casino only lets one win so many times before one goes bust.
Whatever the jury was thinking, Fred Goldman praised the verdict.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to see the potential that he could serve the rest of his life in jail where the scumbag belongs,” he told CNN.
Yale Galanter, the defense attorney for OJ Simpson called the 12 count conviction of “The Juice” pay back. Pay back for the crimes of murder that OJ was found “not guilty” of 13 years ago in the brutal and heinous deaths of Simpson’s ex-Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Galanter called justice served a “lynching”. Cry us a river. Galanter some how has forgotten the jury nullification that took place 13 years ago and had no problem when that specific jury basically played the “pay back” game for crimes they perceived against their race. I guess some how that is different. How soon will this jury be called racists?
The Las Vegas jury that found O.J. Simpson guilty of all charges in a hotel room robbery case were “on an agenda” to make up for Simpson’s 1995 murder acquittal, his attorney said.
