Today Beth Holloway, the mother of missing Alabama teen Natalee 
Holloway while vacationing in Aruba, will be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show. We spoke with Beth briefly yesterday following the taping. The show went well. Sorry, can not give any detail, you just have to watch. However, so much for those Aruban officials who thought and wanted Natalee’s story to go away.
Then, the case has been closed…now Natalee Holloway’s mother, Beth, and brother are speaking out.
Don’t worry Aruba, its not like anyone watches Oprah. Yeah, and Boston isn’t a college town either. Oh that’s right, her empire just got a little larger, The Oprah Winfrey Network. You may want to think this one over as Beth Holloway and her son discuss Natalee Holloway today and all the TV sets that it will appear on. Let Oprah’s audience read the lies and changing of stories in witness and suspect statements that took place. Let them determine whether there was no evidence. 
Billionaire Oprah Winfrey’s already giant empire just got bigger. The Queen Bee of TV and Discovery Communications yesterday announced a 50-50 joint venture that will re-brand Discovery Health into OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. Winfrey, who will turn 54 at the end of the month, will serve as chairman of the new channel, which will debut next year in about 70 million homes, and have complete editorial control over its programming. Oprah’s viewership will now be privy to Joran Van der Sloot’s recent actions of throwing wine in the face of crime reporter, Peter de Vries, when hot tempered Dutch boy did not get his way and was angered. I guess Joran Van der Sloot, one of the last people ever seen with Natalee Holloway before she disappeared forever on Aruba was upset with de Vries views of Aruba’s lies and conflicts of interest.

Let Oprah’s audiance and TV’s around the world decide for themselves as to who is guilty, innocent or if there was no evidense. People have an interesting way of publically righting obvious wrongs that were done to individuals. These people put on a mask in order to get anyone to even talk to them. Peter De Vries saw through Joran’s mask so he got his eyes blinded with wine for seeing.
Joran didn’t like Peter’s face looking at him absent a smiling appreciation of Joran’s ‘truth’, so Peter’s face got assaulted with wine.
Now what did Natalee not like that Joran was up to? Sex? So what did he attack then, besides her face that was complaining? And her words that he didn’t want to hear?

Natalee wanted to see the cool lighthouse…so Joran takes her to a different one that is not worth seeing, being the Colorado Lighthouse.
Joran tells Deepak to make sure when he tells the cops the route they took away from CC’s that night to make sure he doesn’t do SOUTH or else the cameras at the hotels along that way will be checked.

Greta needs to take lessons on how to interview suspects from Peter.
I noted she was not on FOX doing the reporting of the wine in Peters face incident. So glad, she probably would have blamed Peter for provoking the sporter.
On Greta’s blog site, just about everybody disagreed with her statement about “inclined to believe Joran”. For whatever reason, she certainly did change her tune and always has Tacopino on with the last comment. Like she was being threatened or something – it was so obvious to all her viewers.
Can we blame the change of life syndrome for Greta’s bezzare behavior “inclined to believe Joran”….
What else could it be? She is educated so she is not dumb. I am just puzzeled. Maybe it is time for her to take down her licensed and close shop. She has lost her ability to use clear judgement.
Arubans are posting like mad over at the Oprah board with the most outrageous lies about Natalee and Beth. It’s unbelievable how 1) uninformed some Arubans are about Natalee and Beth and therefore they repeat the lies that a few have started 2)how those who know better are so willing to defend Joran and Aruba by besmirching the character of a dead victim.
Many of Beth’s interview are very vague on information. I am hoping that with Oprah she will give more details, and paint a convincing theory of what happened in Arub. I would love to pressure Joran into trying to explain/defend himself. It’s very hard to keep track of lies, and would love to see him incrminate himself.

I read some comments on Oprah’s site. What a shame it is for someone to badmouth someone who has been missing for almost 3 years. I wish each one of them to loose something that they love dearly and not know what happened to it for that amount of time. What goes around, comes around.

Greta is weird, IMO, in that she seems to have some prejudice against pretty girls in a way that she would side against them and for a dude who showed her/Greta some attention, such that Greta felt so honored that Joran was ‘pretending’ to let Greta be his confidant she didn’t dare side against him anymore for fear of losing the feeling of being accepted by some ‘hot’ dude.

Thank you guys for the information about Oprah. I am thinking that I remember Beth making the comment in her book that “this is big” and I took it to mean that it could involve Higher up officials. Does anyone remember this or am I just making this up in my mind? If this is the case, then I wish that Beth would just let loose with everything that she knows. I do recall that they chose words carefully, so as not to p*ss people off, seeing how they needed as much info as they could get. But, I would tell all and everything because she has nothing at all to loose. To keep it inside or not tell the whole side of the story is like playing into the culprits hands. To tell it like it is, seems like some high officials will be scrambling to make up new stories.

I assumed what they meant in saying “it is big” is that so called government officials were involved in the cover up. #35 – I interpreted Beth’s comments “this is big” involved the higher-ups covering for their sons. The higher ups sons were part of the pimps gang involved in preying upon and date raping young girls on their last night on the island. Rather than face the scandal and have their sons go to prison, J2K were covered. If J2K went down, Paulus was going to make sure higher ups sons faced the music too. Remember Joran telling Greta, “we’d done this 20 times before” and then in late Dec. ’07 Mos declared the date rape pattern (and from what I remember American girls were especially targeted). The “something bad happened” is Natalee overdosed from the drug(s).

I think the “this is huge” comment pertains to info or rumors about money laundering on the island funding North Korea’s nuclear weapons development as well as drug running. At least that’s what I thought it was. No doubt there are corrupt officials on Aruba who may be involved in these things. I read on one of our State Dept. or DOJ or CIA websites once that that’s why criminal elements use Caribbean countries. There are few checks and balances as well as small law enforcement agencies making them ripe for payoffs and corruption.

I also believe the son’s of alot if not all of the gov/official’s were involved in the targeting of American tourist girl’s but after seeing Paules sitting next to Natalee & chatting her up at the Holiday Inn casino i feel the father’s could be a part of this sick perversion. Paules was coming on to Natalee just hours before she is NEVER seen again. Think that was just a coincidence? When it comes to Aruba there are NO coincidences. Whoever released that casino clip of Paules practically drooling as he spoke with Natalee wanted American’s to see Jurine’s father sizing up Natalee and you can bet there is a copy of the casino tape that will show all of Paules’s face. Paules’s face in the clip we see is obscured somewhat but you can’t miss that hairline, the watch he’s wearing & other feature’s. In the clip we can see Natalee pointing to Jurine who is at the other end of the blackjack table as she’s looking at Paules indicating Paules has just identified Jurine as his son.
I just watched Oprah. It was good, shorter than I expected. The main thing is that Natalee’s story is still out there.
Oprah cares very much about young people, especially young women who had a rough road like she did at an early age. I wonder if she knows about the young women of Aruba who have had a rough road. How many of them have become porn stars at an early age? How many of them have we not heard about? Why are mothers and fathers not speaking up in their behalf? What ever happened to the young girl who was violently gang raped by her classmates who made videos of the event on their cell phones and posted it to the internet? Wasn’t it reported that a teacher was present and did nothing? The boy’s involved were of a young age. Perhaps they were emulating their older brother’s in “Pimps” gangs (Joran’s gang). Where is Aruba’s outrage about these things? Where are the Good people of Aruba? Aren’t their own young people more important to them than hiding secrets, spinning lies and rumors and bashing Natalee and her mother in the name of Tourism? Aren’t their own young people the real future of Aruba?

It has even at some point taken over it. We thought that as long as this case is going on it was not right to get in the lamplights – however at some times it was necessary – because we didn’t want to frustrate this investigation in any way.

So I contacted I youth-psychiatrist… He wasn’t 18 yet, he still was seventeen… He went there twice, that’s correct and we had one conlusive-conversation after that. Witt.: Yes, let’s talk a minute how Joran was with girls… He’s in his book very frank about it… For him it apparently was or is easy to seduce girls… So easy that you can question yourself if it always happened with the decency that has to go with that proces in comparison with someone who has much more difficulties getting in contact with girls and is much more courteously. For example you don’t write very respectfully about Natalee…
Joran: No… I am very respectfull towards girls. I have for example never pushed a girl (can’t hear it 100% right and don’t know what he means with that). Or did something wrong to a girl.
Witt.: Well there was talk of “the bitch this” and “the bitch that”. And you hardly knew this girl and still you were intimate with her. And after that leaving her there alone? These are not things that proof you have high respects for women.

Joran: But you as well have to see that now that they had me convined again for these 16 days I was in full isolation… I wasn’t allowed to see anyone, to do anything, read a book, have contacts with others… And that to me was very frustrating. You are powerless against this… or say leave me alone or I walk away from it…
Pauw: But how than is it possible that you knew that these two brothers were released?
Joran: Well it’s a small prison. The womensprison had their court-yard close to my cell-window and from them you hear stuff… They told me what was in the newspapers…
Gotta love this Paulus moment especially since JoeT said a few nights ago, Joran has been exonerated.. and his statement before he has proof Joran is innocent..
Paulus: No. On the contrary… Now that the judge has decided that Joran is no longer a suspect… The day after that the OM came with the statement that he remains the person that they’re interested in. After two and a half year wherein all possible coercive means were executed. I cannot understand that. At that point in time, after for two and a half year sticking to someones tail the OM should have come to the conclusion that this person is not only no longer a suspect but he must be considerd innocent as well.

Beth, I admire you so much! I lost my only daughter to suicide and I have literally made myself a prisoner in my own home. The depression is miserable for me. Now that Beth has appeared on the Oprah show, perhaps there will be enough pressure on our politicians to force them to decide that the disappearance of an American citizen overseas, and the subsequent obvious cover-up involving elements of that country’s government, justifies our government taking some interest.

I note that several people above invoked Beth’s comment about “something big” having happened on Aruba. Anyone want to keep in the back of their mind the idea that human trafficking was involved?
I was anticipating a whole lot more from Oprah’s show, but it is still good enough that the word stay out there. I can’t believe that anyone above the age of 10 doesn’t know by now who is responsible for Natalee’s demise. I also can’t imagine that anyone anywhere would give a job, any job to the murdering, sociopath Joran.

A mother who has been there for her child through sickness and normal frustrations of life, all nothing compared to what Natalee faced in her final hours with no one there who loved her. While the Persistence was searching last night, they received a call from the “Port of Aruba Authorities” who announced a sailboat was lost, and apparantly foundering someplace ‘out there’. The Persistence pulled up their sonar equipment and headed off in the direction of Aruba’s indication. Later, the sailboat was not found, and Persistence stopped for the night, heading back into port.
Just goes to show that Americans will help find and recover lost people, while Aruban officials never lifted a useful finger to help find Natalee.
Aruba won’t be judged by me posting on this thread, but by God one day. That’s the payback that’s really going to mean something.

What kind of mother would allow her young daughter to go on a trip like this?Aruba is one of the places where teens(that don’t have good parents)and young adults go to booze it up and be promiscuous.If you allow your daughter to go to this or any of the other spring break type destinations then don’t be surprized if they are raped or murdered or have a date rape drug put in their drink or at the very least drink too much and hang out at the beach or pool side where creeps like Vandersloot will be checking them out and wanting to take advantage.Beth Holloway should understand what her part was in all of this.She was a poor parent then and now she is trying to profit from whgat happened.
