Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
And here’s a hand, my trusty friend
And gie’s a hand o’ thine
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

      Happy New Year All!

My first message was more of a shout out to everyone that comments here but I realized we were supposed to be talking about News Stories from 2007. I am truly hoping the biggest story in 2008 is the persistence and bringing home Natalee. God Bless everyone that has supported Natalee and her Family. I hope each and every one of you has a Healthy and Happy 2008

Happy New Year to all Monkeys and all who care about the missing and exploited in the world. It was neat to put a “voice” to the many personalities here. I have a feeling that 2008 will bring many answers to our prayers!

      Happy New Years folks.

Happy New Year to all … it looks as though the world has survived for yet another year.

Here’s a suggestion: could this forum have a continually updating banner headline, such as:

“X days until the presidential election is over”?

Not to sound like the Christmas Grinch, but the prospect of nonstop media hoop-la about the election is truly depressing. The more time, money, and resources that get poured into it, the less impressive the results (or so it seems to me). I don’t mean candidate A vs. candidate B, Republicans vs. Democrats, or that stuff …

I just mean the process seems to get louder, bigger, and more repulsive every year.

Can we the American people reclaim control of politics?

Happy New Year to all monkeys of good will.

To the van der Scums, Kalpoes, and their associates: Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Many of us want to make it as miserable for you as possible.

Here’s hoping that Aruba wises up and decides that this is the year that justice is rendered for Natalee Holloway.

Hey, it’s your scummy island at stake.

And a very special New Year’s greeting to the heroes on the Persistence. If Natalee’s body is in the water to be found, pray God that you do.

HAPPY NEW YEAR MONKEYS! ZOO KEEPERS … YOU HAVE EACH DONE AN INCREDIBLE JOB OF KEEPING OUR CAGE A PLACE THAT HONORS THE MEMORY OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY AND … UPHOLDS HER FAMILY MEMBERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SEARCH FOR ANSWERS … IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SEARCH FOR JUSTICE.

      THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!

Dana … Happy New Year from one Canuck to another while she is consuming her second cuppa TIM HORTON’S coffee of the day … anticipating the caffeine buzz. (The American Monkeys do not have a clue what they are missing.)

Dana … thank you. As a talk show host … you are the best! Greta could learn a thing or two from you … like letting her guestS get a word in edgewise.

I doooooooooooooo Janet!! I had my first cup a couple years back while in Ontario!! YUM! Now we have our very own Tim Horton’s here!!!

    14. Tamikosmom on January 1st, 2008 6:54 pm

Nut … where is “here”? I had heard “rumors” that Tim Horton’s was branching out to the States but … was not aware it had happened?

Happy New Years everyone!,, enjoyed listening to the message and I agree about Dana.. and so happy he don’t bring 4 defense attorneys on to throw anything and everything out to see what sticks without anyone to call them on it.

I wish 2007 would’ve brought Natalee home, I can’t really say I expected it to happen with all the Loonies in Aruba on this case.. on the other side of that… I want to wish Jossy a Happy New Year also. He truly is the voice of Natalee in Aruba.

I haven’t forgotten Tara Grinsted’s family or Jennifer Kesse. I was so hoping they too would get answers in 2007.

I think many people can relate to having a dearly loved family member(members) gone especially during the Holidays, but most can’t begin to imagine what these families go through that have someone gone and not knowing where there are.

    16. Richard on January 1st, 2008 7:56 pm

Tim Horton’s has a number of outlets in the U.S.

I’ve seen several of them in different states.

For 2008, may the families of all missing persons find the answers that they need. I know that this won’t be the case, but it is my wish.

In particular, my thoughts are with the families of Amy Bradley, Johnny Gosch, Natalee Holloway, and George Smith (alphabetical order). But nobody should be excluded; I can think of no more horrible affliction to strike a family.

    17. LilPuma on January 1st, 2008 11:34 pm

Happy New Year everyone. I resolve to continue to pray for justice, for goodness to overcome darkness, and blessings for those who offer love, compassion and joy in this world. Maybe 2008 will provide answers and justice to those who have lost loved ones, and may God comfort those who are suffering such a loss.

    18. LilPuma on January 1st, 2008 11:44 pm

      http://www.timhortons.com
“As of July 2007, there are over 340 Tim Hortons locations in the United States. These are primarily situated in (and the areas surrounding) Buffalo, Rochester (New York), Detroit, Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Midland (Michigan), Columbus, Dayton, Toledo (Ohio), Erie (Pennsylvania), Charleston, Huntington, Wheeling (West Virginia), Maine, Rhode Island and Connecticut.”

Seems there are franchise opportunities available if anyone is interested.

No Tim Hortons in my area, of course, so I’ll keep eating/drinking at Dunkin and Krispy.

      Happy New Years to Everyone…

LilPuma … thank you for that info on Tim Horton franchises located in the U.S. I had no idea. A couple of years ago while traveling the West Coast of Washington, Oregon and California enroute to Disneyland with two of the grandkids … no Tim Hortons. I just assumed that there were no frandises in the U.S.

      HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!~

I think so highly of all of you & i thank God everyday you’re here. You guy’s are compassionate And tough as nails at the same time. You’re funny and can dice those ignorant troll’s up quicker than a Japenese chef and like Roy said the other day…..we’re like pittbull’s latched on to Natalee and BELIEVE IT troll’s….we are NEVER letting this go until Natalee is found one way or another.

The crew said they are reading/interpreting all the data the ROV has captured now. Picture us all holding hands & praying that Natalee will be found & brought home, our voice’s are as one, as are our hearts.
