Was the case of Natalee Holloway by Aruban OM Hans Mos shut down in Aruba by the powers that be? Are people in the Aruban government still providing preferential treatment and running cover for Joran Van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Satish Kalpoe? The recent actions of Aruban OM are beginning to make sense.

It would appear that Justice Minister Rudy Croes is miffed over the fact that he was not in the loop regarding the recent re-arrest of the three suspects, Deepak Kalpoe, Satish Kalpoe and Joran Van der Loot, in the Natalee Holloway investigation. It would also seem that there is an admission from the Aruban government official that Aruba’s reputation was harmed again internationally. 
Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) says that he should have been informed earlier of the detention of the three suspects in the Holloway-case. “Now that everything is back on the table, the reputation of Aruba is harmed again internationally.”
The admission that some may have not been in the loop begins to make some sense as to how Aruban OM Hans Mos began this recent arrest, prosecution and comments on TV like a lion and ended like a lamb. This seems to play into the idea of “governmental pressure” that has been discussed as to why Hans Mos did an about face on his criminal prosecution and the release of the three suspects. How does one go from having new evidence, making re-arrests of the Kalpoes, have Natalee’s parents fly to Aruba and flying Joran Van der Sloot to Aruba from Holland after his arrest only to have nothing?
Talk about a conflict of doing one’s duties. An OM looking to prosecute cases and a Justice Minister looking only to promote an island’s reputation. Does this mean that Mos had every intention of prosecuting and had new evidence against the three suspects; however, when the news of new evidence was learned by the Justice Minister was immediately squelched? Thus leaving Mos with the embarrassment of I have new evidence only to be left holding the bag and egg on his face. All at the cost of a family and their search for answers and justice for their missing daughter. Let us not forget the comments that Jossy Mansur, Managing Editor of Diario, made recently with regards to the actions of OM Mos:

The above comments say a mouth full. It is an admission that Aruba puts its tourism ahead of any type of investigation into the case of a missing American. The investigation was not based upon fact finding, it was based upon how Aruba’s image would be tarnished.

Same as last time, a huge amount of media came to Aruba this time to cover the detention of the three suspects.
ORANJESTAD – Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) says that he should have been informed earlier of the detention of the three suspects in the Holloway-case. “Now that everything is back on the table, the reputation of Aruba is harmed again internationally.”
The case could have been dealt with more carefully if he was informed on time, suggested the minister. “Was it well-considered to make the arrests? If there were plenty of evidence, they would not have been released.” He considers the contact between him and the Public Prosecutor (OM) about the recent developments in the Holloway-case an abnormal working situation. “As a matter of fact, I am ultimately responsible for this matter; the OM falls under my policy. Doesn’t that mean that I should have been informed in advance? There is no need for me to do anything any longer and we must save what can be saved. Let’s drop the case as soon as possible.”
According to chief district attorney Hans Mos, the justice-minister, who as opposed to Parliament is politically responsible for the actions of the OM, was one of the first persons that were informed after the arrests. “He was immediately informed together with the prime minister. Our scheme clearly mentions that.” He says that it is however unusual to inform the minister in advance of an arrest. “That only happened in very special cases that affect the public order and safety of a country, like with terrorist crimes. In individual criminal cases like this one, the OM makes decisions and the minister must not work against it. Some people are more worried about the reputation of the country than they are about solving criminal cases. These seem to be subordinated to economic interests; you can then do away with the police and justice.” Mos emphasized that the government and the justice-minister could have always contacted him about the case. “But the minister has not once asked for an explanation on the arrests. I would have done this with pleasure.”
Besides, the OM doesn’t want to continue dragging the case and has decided to set the deadline on December 31 of this year. The prosecution is currently thinking over continuing or dismissing the case. That all three suspects appealed to their right to remain silent after their arrest was an obstacle for justice. That was also the reason why the judge has decided to release them from custody, because it didn’t serve any purpose.
RESEARCH SHIP DELAYED DUE TO OLGA
The unusual December storm in the Caribbean, Olga, has delayed the arrival of the research ship that Dave Holloway wants to bring to Aruba to search the seabed for the body of his daughter. The management of Texas Equusearch ‘Mounted Search and Recovery Team’ cannot say when the search can start. “Keep praying”, said the relief organization on the website. The tropical storm Olga has already caused the death of 8 persons in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

I just don’t know…. if Rudy Croes was in charge Hans Mos would never have made the arrests and the judge said there was no new evidence, why would the corrupt government ever allow Mos to make that statement and have all three re-arrested?

I was just reading again Jaime’s statement: Joran does not asked for Jaime to take him to C and C’s; only to meet up as usual with him there. He also states that “I saw Koen, Sander and Joran were in the apartment of Joran and that they were playing poker”. “Koen and Sander are brothers but I do not know their last name”.
I find this hard to believe. He goes to Carlos and Charlie’s with these guys, knows them over a year, hangs out with them, plays cards with them and doesn’t know their last name. Bullsh-t.

About two years ago I spent an evening searching South American sites. It led me to a note: Natalee and Joran Part I and II. After considerable surfing it took me to an NL site.
After weeding through all the ads sure enough there were two xxx rated videos titled Natalee and Joran Part I and II.
These I know were downloaded and sent to the FBI.

The trafficking of Bulgarian women as sex slaves brings in about 1.8 billion euros ($NZ3.40 billion) a year for the gangs behind it, making it the country’s most profitable criminal activity, a report said.
The European Union newcomer has become one of the main exporters of sex workers to Western Europe along with Russia, Ukraine and Romania, the independent non-government Centre for the Study of Democracy (CSD) said in a report.
Bulgaria ranked first according to the number of victims who sought help in the Netherlands in 2000-2003 and was number three in Germany in 2001-2005, the report said, citing European data.
Analysts from the group blamed poverty, corruption, family problems, a failing justice system and Bulgaria’s geographic location — along numerous illegal trade routes in the Black Sea region — for fuelling the sex industry.
The Bulgarian government recently abandoned a plan to legalise prostitution, a step taken by other EU countries such as the Netherlands, saying it would only make the problem worse.
“It would be a grave mistake,” Interior Minister Roumen Petkov said during a presentation of the CSD report.
“It would mean that abusing human flesh is lawful and would create conditions to legalise huge amounts of money to be re-invested in criminal activities.”
He said Bulgaria should take a tougher stance against human trafficking and step up measures to fight the problem.
There are no official estimates of the number of Bulgarian women working as sex slaves abroad but some groups believe about 10,000 to 12,000 fall victim to trafficking every year.

What else could you expect from the minister of justice on Aruba, though….
The ARUBA BOYCOTT initiative needs a wide audience as it’s building new steam. A friend suggested that a quietly made ‘documentary’ could be filmed (by a vacationer perhaps….”from a vacationers point of view”) of all those spiffy 7th rate areas that ARUBA would like no one to ever see. We could start with those dozens of Tijuana look-a-like shacks, bearly passible streets and stores just outside of the 2 main shopping streets in Town. Then a short bus ride down to St. Nicholas to film the brothels, backwater bars, and slime down there.
I think a 15 minute properly edited documentary in color, with trendy B&W scenes interspersed would look fabulous. The last 3 minutes ought to be a quick recap of the Holloway disgrace, and appropriate closing with her photo. Now where could we get the proper audience venue? Hmmmmmmm, State College & University blog sites. That would be a big help to those students confused about where to plan a spring or summer vacation spot. The best audience? YOUTUBE!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine…..the Real Aruba watched daily by MILLIONS. Let’s see what develops in the coming weeks ahead. All things are indeed possible.

By Aruban Law the chief prosecutor has to make a decission supported by the judge-commisioner as to wether any of the suspects are supposed to be involved in any provable culpabel way or else stop the case by the end of this year. So for the know-it-alls regarding corruption the case got researched with full support of the FBI, KLPD and the dutch airforce for about 18 months. No way is this case going to stick unless they find a body with supporting evidence that anyone was involved. Nobody wants to cop pleas as we are picky with who we send to jail and we still have blatant miscarriages of justice anyway. But better that than have incompetent laypersons make decissions about human lives.
Obviously the Aruban police have more serious crime on their hands with a large country like Venezuela close-by, that has a lot of problems in stopping murderous cocaine from reaching the US (say 15000 cocaine deaths over these same 18 months).
Where’s the law…he does not have a witness to confirm his were-abouts…he cannot provide anything that makes him innocent. He has no alibi!!!! He did it!!

When Rudy was very much aware of Joran Van der Sloot’s confession, as were several other law enforcement officials in Aruba, who revealed that they too had been informed of Joran’s confession -it seems that once the confession’s IMPACT revealed that Natalee Holloway was MURDERED IN ARUBA’S VERSION OF “PARADISE”, ( and that didn’t go over too well with the “happy safe” illusion), suddenly, Rudy was “MIS-INFORMED”.

I just returned from Croatia – internet connections were free and available everywhere. The hotels even have computers set up in their lobbies – absolutely free to hotel customers. All the internet cafes have shut down. If its free in Croatia – it soon will be the same in Aruba.

Speaking of those backwater bars in San Nicolas, many years ago my hubby and I happened across one of them one night when we ventured too far away from the main tourist area. At that time, it just appeared to be a little “cozy bar” with “couples” coming out. We couldn’t tell what was really going on until we ordered our drinks and the server started using “code words” for other drinks to my husband. This wasn’t an accident (server’s English was good), the server just kep repeating the same incorrect drink to my husband over and over again, and every time my husband corrected him. When he walked away, we payed more attention to the small hallway off from the dance area. There were a few more “closed doors” than just for restrooms if you know what I mean, and “couples” were coming in and out of them.
That’s when we knew where we were and we GOT OUT.

Yes, I know it’s legal in Holland (and that changes are being made), but where Aruba is concerned it still goes back to this — it too was operating unbeknownst to us. It should have bee openly communicated to their American tourists where this was happening so that we could make a choice.
Not all of us want to walk into this type of environment when we are on vacation—sometimes it can spoil the whole experience.

It’s over. The public prosecutor has decided not to continue finding facts and attempting to prosecute. This means Joran and pals are off the hook. Bad news for the loud and lousy press and Natalees’ camp and good news for the fools who think getting off is the only thing to be achieved. Any civil suit in the US will fail as the Aruban public prosecutor clearly stated he went to the limits of what he is allowed. So what will happen now apart from the US wanting to attempt prosecution will never take. You can not be prosecuted of the same crime twice.

If you did you would have a surprisingly enjoyable time since Harlem has been revitalized and is the place to be now. I guess you didn’t know that.
Even if it weren’t there’s still no merit in your comment because crime in the US is openly communicated; it would be an “enter at your own risk” CHOICE to visit. No surprises.
