Jossy Mansur Provides an Opinion on the Actions of Aruban Prosecutor Hans Mos

GET THE OPINIONS OF JOSSY MANSUR AS TO WHAT HAPPENED WITH ARUBAN OM MOS

It has become obvious to us and to the independent part of the population that the prosecutors will only act on behalf of the government against its opponents, but never….and I will repeat NEVER against the corrupt Ministers and Parliament members of the ruling party. (Jossy Mansur)

One really has to wonder what Aruban prosecutor Hans Mos was thinking by his Jossy 1recent actions in re-arresting Deepak Kalpoe, Satish Kalpoe and Joran Vander Sloot claiming that he had new evidence. Why did he waste anyone’s time, including both Beth and Dave Holloway in having them fly to Aruba? Hans Mos does all of this based on a lie?

Is there anyone involved in this case that is capable of telling the truth? If we can’t get the truth out of the prosecutors office, how could we ever expect the truth out of the suspects?

How does a prosecutor go from having new evidence in a re-arrest to having nothing and talk of closing the case with no prosecution of any crime? Why does the cover up continue and why does this prosecutor act like he was told to shut up? Jossy Mansur also made it known that DIARIO will not stop in the pursuit of the truth in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. We asked Jossy Mansur, the managing editor of Diario, his opinion on this matter.

Natalee Holloway 2

I wish I could give you a proper answer, but I have the same dilemma of belief in the prosecution. I don’t know how Moss could risk re-arresting the three suspects, give such confident interviews, speak with so much determination about his new evidence, and then suddenly is willing to throw in the towel and put an end to his resolve. Was it just a show, a public exhibition of “we did everything that we could, but at the end couldn’t”, prior to closing the case and attempt in the process to put up a front of “good intentions” and nothing else? It seems so from this new perspective that he himself has created. It brings to mind the opinion that “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”!

We at the DIARIO have been questioning other incomprehensible attitudes of the prosecuting department on other matters with concrete, documented facts. It has become obvious to us and to the independent part of the population that the prosecutors will only act on behalf of the government against its opponents, but never….and I will repeat NEVER against the corrupt Ministers and Parliament members of the ruling party. In short, the majority of the people in Aruba are convinced that politics has a lot to do with the prosecution’s decisions.

I said that once in an editorial against the Attorney General and she took me to court. She lost in the lower courts, appealed, and lost again in the High Court! I was upheld in that statement by four different Dutch Judges! And so was the mayor opposing party, the AVP, who said the same thing and was also taken to Court and also won their case against the Attorney General. I believe in the Judges in Aruba, but how can I continue to believe in the prosecutors when faced with such devastating facts? I am willing to uphold our system of justice, I am willing to go to great lengths to defend it because it has functioned well in most cases, but it too has to show me that it is blind to political influence and and any kind of pressure in ALL cases! And that is pathetically missing in Natalee’s case,

Mos may have thrown in the towel, or is willing to do so and not go to trial, but we at the DIARIO will never give up on the case until the truth is know about what happened to Natalee. The first thing I will order Monday morning is a total review of the case, from its incipience, and to put all the FACTS together, and that it be published, including the documents, admissions, interviews and other pertinent facts that are in our possession. We will give it our best to prove to Mos and his associates that the case cannot be closed while there is so much fact, indication and admissions in play! (Jossy Mansur)

Aruba prosecutor and 180 degree turn. Are they all on drugs? What gives at first all that confidence and now let them go at the end of the year. They can’t deal with prosecuting boys raping girls in school even if they know who they are. How would anybody expect to get justice in this case?
I knew it was all smoke and mirrors but why did he talk the talk like he would do something!

I look forward to Jossy sharing his files with the public of Aruba and the world. He has a wealth of information gleaned over the course of this investigation and we all might be in for a surprise or two from his quarters.

Jossy has been a constant in all this and a comfort for Beth throughout.

Yes, with Mos threatening to not only release the suspects from suspect status but to close the investigation as well, now would seem to be the time to reveal all and hold back nothing!

      Go Jossy!

      RIGHT ON, JOSSY!

Your comments bring to mind the statements made by Prime Minister Nelson Oduber the night before Natalee’s body was to be recovered in which he stated that the discovery of Natalee’s remains would be an embarrassment to 97,000 people and would effect the reputation of the island as being a safe place to be.

      {Para phrased}

Obviously, he made his decision and gave his orders that no one would ever know the cause of death of the young teenager from Alabama.

But… he never counted on the Chicago Videos!

Thank you so much for your concern for the family
and all the hard work you put in for their
      behalf.

      God Bless You…

You have appealed to Aruba for justice for the family of Natalee Holloway. Yes, please as the posters above had asked, please share your files.

      Let the truth be told.

    15. Sunny on December 9th, 2007 8:04 pm

Thanks Red for posting this….and thank you Jossy…you have been and continue to be an honest and impartial defender of truth and justice. How this happened…..how Mr. Mos was able to pull so many of us into believing in him and also believing that there may actually be justice in Aruba….he betrayed all of us…but more importantly he betrayed Natalee.
He has done as much,if not more to shame Aruba than the Kalpoes and the Van der Sloots have. He has done more to turn tourists away from Aruba that the Kalpoes and the Van der Sloots. The World public are not stupid and are certainly able to see what is right in front of their faces. Aruba’s tourism will NOT survive this last injustice. Aruba can thank Mr. Mos for furthering the continued lack of tourism, the lack of jobs in their major industry which will, in turn, result in higher taxes for the local people…..taxes on everything from their basic needs, to feeding and clothing and educating their children. Justice for Natalee could have turned a lot of this around…albeit slowly…but possible. No longer possible. Aruba will turn into a Haiti. Good bye Aruba.

I cannot believe that our own government will still permit travel to Aruba. There needs to be a country wide boycott. No one is safe there unless you were born there with money. Aruba needs to understand that America will not “play” there if they cannot promise safty or bare minimum justice!

    21. Observer on December 9th, 2007 9:17 pm

Thank You Jossy..The cover up has been obvious, ridiculous and down right evil. It is great to see someone from Aruba make a honest effort to find the truth. You have been there for Natalee and her Family since the beginning and it is appreciated greatly. It’s a shame that no one else from Aruba is courageous or caring enough to demand justice.

I wonder how Alexander Gottenbos got a green card so fast to work in the USA.
Jacobs says that Americans came to Aruba and commit insurance fraud. What a twist!!! Is he working here illegally or just working the welfare system in Georgia? Here is an Aruban insurance agent possibly commiting fraud in the United States.
Why did he sell his home so abruptly and leave Aruba?
His wife had a good business there also.
Bed wetting. Bed wetters usually grow out the problem by the age of 10. When an adolescent starts it is usually some physical problem that needs immediate attention. Or; some trauma or neurological problem surfaced. Keon should be up to number two by now. Sander; did you really have your phone stolen or was someone trying to defend herself and it was grabbed and broken when she was struck with it? Was this before or after her hair was cut?
Every lead focused nowhere near the crime scene. All searches at the van Der Sloots would turn up nothing except maybe Anita’s camera with pictures of a defenseless young injured and drugged American blond tourist.
Did the Gottenbos’ buy any mattresses in June of 2005. Or; since they better flee the island they did not bother.
Boy I would not want Willeim Van Cromvoirt as a father. He disowned his son and fired him so as to distance himself from any possible prosecution. Bad as it was at least Paulus defended his son. Or was Geoff’s crime worse. He couldn’t take the name of Natalee Holloway when her name was mentioned and seemed to go into a catatonic state of mind.
He had to get rid of his pick up.
But here again Geoff’s father is a Dutch national fleeing the island. Sells his business and flees. I guess he couldn’t explain the hidden cameras in the guests’ rooms so they had to be renovated while the cameras were removed. Anyone remember the video of Geoff’s arrest. He had what appeared to be wearing a black hooded VCB uniform.
Why was van der Straaten removed from the case? Believe it or not he may have been a good guy and the Prime Minister fired him rather than offing him. Besides he was ready to retire anyway and who would believe an alcoholic.
Dirty hand was in all probability DJ
Here we have Guido; Flees shortly after Natalee disappears. The ones’ that toss the dice; they knew about the skimming going on at the blackjack tables.
Why doesn’t Deepak leave? Why leave a good business. That is a direct line to web sights and all the dirty films that Freddy makes of drugged tourist sells big on the cybernet.
      It’s called supplemental income.
While we are on supplemental income; did Joran ever pay New York State and New York City income tax for is TV appearance. At the very least as a guest it would have been around $500.00. I believe that would be around $70.00 as a non resident.
What about Joran’s girlfriend at the time Natalee disappeared. No mention of a dark skinned, dark hair brown eyed Aruban in his book. But Joran has to team up with Fabien just so everyone knows he really likes blonds. But then again why Natalee; he said he liked Ruth better; but then again he and Guido were also pretty close.
BTW why not the mineshafts? Think about it. Yes Keon had a boat available but think about it if you agree on the ocean theory. Did they bring the boat to Natalee or did they bring Natalee to the boat or was the boat and Natalee already at the same location in Malmok.
The mines are just a little out of the way on the way back to either Paradera or Hooiberg.
Less then two and one half miles. No extra charge for gas as in the case of a boat.
There are some flaws in 10061906 post but I can follow the thought process.

    24. Bob on December 9th, 2007 10:16 pm

I think it is all well and good that we continue this thread and running blogs about the Natalee case and Aruba’s justice disgrace. While there has been numerous TV, newsprint, radio, and internet accounts of the recent week’s events, the “closing of the case” will take the story to the back burners where all will become lost in time.

There needs to be a concerted effort to make the Natalee case a rallying cry and focal point for a renewed and vocal National travel BOYCOTT of this embarrassment of a sand pen known as Aruba. It’s time for the Alabama Governor and state officials to pull in a few markers and put a few BOYCOTT logs on the fire…..start with the Southern States, then engage Californians….it will spread like wildfire. Do it!

I ,myself feel the latest events really brought everything back to life. Hell my battery is hotter than ever. I think the case was going cold. I see more people posting than ever before. This case since it’s birth, has recieved more attention than any I can remember.Natalee Holloway will be remembered every time the Island of Aruba is mentioned. Ever played word association.Mention Aruba and see what the next response is. First is Natalee followed colsely by corruption. That’s just the way it is and will always be. REGUARDLESS!!!!!!!! Sadly this does nothing for Beth and Dave. ALL of the guilty people will get theirs in the end. Some will get theirs sooner. For me-it can’t happen soon enough. Aruba ,the world has been put on alert.Stay away. Joe T,you are unamerican, and I hope you get boycotted as well. How ever you will be attractive to thugs world wide. You and Aruba make a good pair. Jossy is a good man. There are a lot of good people in Aruba, but the ruling minority has control. Van der Sloot and the rest have backing in the Netherlands and I think a strong sectular group. There is a world group who will push anyone who tries to convict anyone of their cloth. Not only are drug lords involved but also arms dealing. I went to Aruba 4 times to help find what happened to Natalee. Currently, I am probably banned, but I was there day one….it is and has always been a coverup. No doubt, they have a lot of help outside Aruba. Jossy is putting up a one man fight down there against all odds. Support this man anyway you can…and oppose Aruba/Netherlands anyway you can. Any act against these people is more than fair. Joran and Paulus should be eliminated…..

It is the treasure, and Natalee is the nugget. He disheckles, fair franchise, and disfigure and place her in a bizarre coffin.

The research vessel Persistence should be arriving in Aruba fairly soon. A 20 to 25 man crew will spend at least two weeks surveying the sea floor. Great article Red, and timely! It’s good to hear that Jossy will continue to seek truth in this case. What a man of courage he is, and what love he has for his island to want all that is good, just, and clean for the citizens there. If Jossy’s principles were followed by others in authority on the island, Aruba wouldn’t have a tourism problem.
He said he would stay on it, and that’s one Aruban I believe!

to paraphrase the headlines of mos’ declaration about the disposition of natalee’s case, it would be: “we’re bring j2k back in for interrogation, and if they can keep their mouths shut for a few more days, as long as the little tourist girl’s remains aren’t deposited on the steps of my office, in full view of american media cameras, i’ll shut this investigation down on dec. 3l, and we can go back to pretending and advertising that the happy island is crime free.”

      with “very little aesthetic appeal”:

    48. katablog.com on December 10th, 2007 1:11 pm

#47 – I’ve been to Aruba and can attest that the rating by the NG is very correct. It’s a pretty place IF you get away from the very tacky down town. Why they blame that on the cruise ships versus the Aruban’s I’m not sure. As a frequent cruiser, that’s exactly the type of atmosphere that totally turns us off. Only first time cruisers that don’t know what to expect and haven’t been to any of the good places fall for the little tacky shacks offering t-shirts and filthy downtown area.

What’s really important is that I didn’t find Aruban’s “friendly” when they learned they weren’t getting any of my dollars. I found them hostile.

Some wonderful places include: St. Maarten, St. Barts, Barbados, Tortola, St. Kitts. If you want a great welcome, Roseau, Dominica (though pretty poor and dirty) and Grenada are fantastic places. We went river tubing in Roseau and you’ve never seen a group of people work so hard to make sure the Americans were safe and had a good time.

There is simply no reason to go to a place like Aruba where you are not safe because they are too many fantastic and interesting places to go and spend your money.

    49. Richard on December 10th, 2007 1:24 pm

Let’s not forget the Aruban girl who was raped by her classmates (I believe an adult also participated), who kindly filmed the whole thing on their cell phones and posted the film on the Internet.

What did the ALE do about it? Right; nothing….

The girl and her family moved off the island.

Justice, Aruba style. Nobody dares stand up for victims.

Maybe there are some attractive parts of Aruba, if you like packs of roving wild dogs, parched landscape, cottages of “chollers” and roaming drug dealers. Can’t think of any other attractions, except perhaps the Natural Bridge.

      Which has collapsed.

Let’s hope Aruba follows suit, the sooner the better.

    50. Richard on December 10th, 2007 1:26 pm

Seems likely to me that Mos was ordered off the case. Something too big was involved, something that would destroy Aruba. (As if the locals aren’t doing it themselves, but that’s another issue.)

What do you suppose it could be?

You know what I think … drug lords and human trafficking.

There was never a chance of justice prevailing for Natalee Holloway. The eighteen year old American citizen never had an advocate within the Aruban investigation … not even the prosecutors. Jossy Mansur … an editor of an Aruban publication … is the ONLY Aruban who has supported Natalee’s family in their contention that a corrupt investigation was protecting Joran and Paulus from implication and … this support began very early on and … has never wavered.

“Mos may have thrown in the towel, or is willing to do so and not go to trial, but we at the DIARIO will never give up on the case until the truth is know about what happened to Natalee. The first thing I will order Monday morning is a total review of the case, from its incipience, and to put all the FACTS together, and that it be published, including the documents, admissions, interviews and other pertinent facts that are in our possession. We will give it our best to prove to Mos and his associates that the case cannot be closed while there is so much fact, indication and admissions in play!”(Jossy Mansur)

      GOD BLESS YOU JOSSY!!

      GO JOSSY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This man has so much dedication to his craft and much courage to try and expose the corruption on his own island- with detailed FACTS in print where Aruba’s own prosecutors have made written statements and reports which can be publicly dug up again.

I give him so much credit and we should continue to honor Jossy Mansur’s ferocity, courage and stamina !!!!! GO JOSSY !!!!!

Maybe the best and only recourse remaining is for you folks to petition the US State Department to declare Aruba off limits to American tourists. That would bring quick results.Write, call your Cogressman and Senator. Bombard them with ire, an election is coming up and they may respond.

Anybody out there willing to take this on? I will make a $ cash contribution if others step up. Words on this site do no good. Action with those with the power to do something might well work.

Leroy (#60) … some of us have indeed been doing that. If the “rights” of a detainee in Guantanamo were at stake, half the Senate and House would be speaking out.

As with Amy Bradley and Joel Gove, it seems that nobody cares about an American citizen abroad.

But we’ll continue to do what we can.

BTW, I think that we should also do all we can to bring recognition to those wonderful souls who are contributing cash, time, equipment, etc. for this water search.

It’s the responsibility of the Dutch and of Aruba to do this. It’s American generosity, determination and dedication that ARE doing it.

      Seems newsworthy to me.

[...] It has become obvious to us and to the independent part of the population that the prosecutors will only act on behalf of the government against its opponents, but never….and I will repeat NEVER against the corrupt Ministers and Parliament members of the ruling party. Can’t believe that with all those creapy serial killers, spychopats, pedofiles, racists, arrogant hypocrits among you (follow the news, american news) you want to seek revenge for a pressumed crime that would never made it to your own courthouse.
Everybody wants to know what happened!!! Offcourse there were mistakes made by a system not so experienced as the American, after all there are many people(americans too), missing in the USA, it seams that nobody cares for the poor and the black, there are no f16′s searching for them like they had for Natalee do they?. By boycotting Aruba you don’t get the truth out of a psychopath, do you? Forget your stupid pride and think human, please!

    67. Dick Anderson on March 15th, 2008 7:55 pm

Jossie thank you so much for being a kind and honest man. Who are the 3 judges who set Joran van der Sloot free? Could you give me their names and email addresses? They deserve to be tried in a court of law for their corruption, found guilty, and hung for corruption. I am sorry for your sake Josie, but millions of Americans want justice for Natalee and will be coming after all of these killers with enough training and firepower to take out Aruba and Holland if necessary. Take care my friend. You will never be harmed. all my best, Dick
