“Aruban Offensive In Holloway Case” – Current Details on Natalee Holloway Case Developments

Dutch Newspaper De Telegraaf has printed a good summary of developments in the Natalee Holloway case since the arrests last Wednesday. For anyone who would like to be brought up-to-speed on where things currently stand, this is a good place to start.

Big thank you’s to Scared Monkey EURobert for providing us with the translation!

Aruban offensive in case Holloway

By John van de Heuvel and Bert Houses

ORANJESTAD (ARUBA) – The office of the Aruban public prosecutor is not the most picturesque building in the heart of colorful Oranjestad. However, the boring building since yesterday is not only the tourist attraction of Aruba, but also target of a true pressinvasion.

Cameracrews of all major American television stations are coming to line up in order not to miss a glimpse of justice-workers, that might have news about the arrest of Joran van der Sloot and his two friends. Under a burning tropical sun Head-Prosecutor mr. Hans Mos for each camera explains patiently that there is no news to be expected in the Natalee Holloway -case. But is this really true?

The same Publ.Pros. office in Oranjestad earlier this month was the place where Mos in a deeply secret meeting of ten chiefs of police, detectives and prosecutors. The discussion had only one agenda item: Are we going to arrest Joran van der Sloot or not? The pros and cons were put next to eachother one by one. In favor of an arrest pleaded some new, very interesting research. The material was collected by a partly Dutch invetigationteam that from April this year held the old Holloway dossier to the light.

On the basis of these findings, new technical and tactical crime investigations had been carried out, out of which striking contradictions came forward in the earlier statements by mainsuspect Joran van der Sloot. The police gladly wanted to confront Joran to those new facts. Not during an informal meeting at the police station, but in a series of tough questioning, without the three suspects getting the opportunity to share information on the investigation with each other. Against an arrest of Joran during the meeting was argued that Van der Sloots arrest would bring about another wave of negative publicity. After the first arrest and the continuing series of reports about Aruban police-failings American tourists had left the island ‘en masse’ (massively). The percentage vacationers from the United States fell by more than ten percent, which the tourism cost millions of dollars. But the ten attendees agreed quickly, economic interests could not stand in the way of the decision to reopen the Natalee Holloway-case. At the end of the discussion Saturday everyone was in line. In a final all-or-nothing offensive would it would be tried to get clarity on the fate of American blondine. “We did not want to get the reproach, that not everything was done to solve this disappearence-case.

Moreover, Joran van der Sloot on a number of important points still had a lot to explain, said a source close to the investigation. If all the data that we have now put in line, was known at the first arrest, he would never have let go. There was much more in the file than we thought.

Crucial

The coming days and weeks are crucial to whether the by the family Holloway so cherished clarity will be provided. Unlike in local media is suggested the new research is not obtained by infiltration of the friends of the suspects. “Infiltration would also had have little meaning,” explains a detective who was involved in the first investigation. “The three suspects spoke against third parties not or only in general terms about the case. After their first arrest we once have put them all in a policecar and left them alone. The car was full with bugs because we hoped that they would talk about the case. Nothing. Nothing. The blokes were as silent as a grave ”

The preliminary investigation also showed that Joran van der Sloot previously abused girls against their will. “We came into contact with an ex-girlfriend that had confessed to a therapist that she was raped by Joran. Naturally, we tried to let her press charges against Joran, but unfortunately she didn’t want to do that. She was still in love with Joran,” said the detective.

Gaps

Although earlier it was already clear that the investigation especially in the period shortly after the disappearance had big gaps in it, the new police team also encountered many shortcomings in the initial investigation. “For example, on key points there wasn’t pressed enough for their answers or reports of phonetaps were not fully written down. For instance: on a particular conversation in the transcript was put “it is not relevant”, and therefore not literally written down. Now we have listened to a number of interviews again, we see – in combination with the new research – indeed new suspicions rise up, “says a Dutch detective. Police and Attorney General in Aruba are convinced Joran and his friends Deepak and Satish have picked up girls many times befor, drugged them and had sex with them!!!. Headofficer of Justice Hans Mos confirms that is not thought that in the case of Natalee there was a preconceived plan to murder the girl. “For that reason, in addition to the manslaughter offense abuse resulting in death was added,” says Mos, who also does not deny that the investigation-team is going into a crucial week. While after yet another television interview he wipes the sweat of his forehead: “Of course we realize perfectly well that there will be much criticism again if we don’t solve the case now. But it would be unacceptable if we had not done the maximum to solve the disappearance of Natalee Holloway? Yes, it is true that at this moment we have not yet decided whether we take Joran and the brothers K. to court. This depends partly on what they the coming days will declare on the contradictions. And what if they remain silent? “That would, in this case, not be in their own interest!”

I guess this is good news and bad news. Good news that the new prosecutor recognizes what we’ve seen for 2.5 years. But the question is, does he recognize it because he reads what we’ve been screaming or because he’s clean and unbiased?

The bad news is that is sounds like there really isn’t any “new” evidence but rather a simple look at all the existing evidence and how it screams cover-up.

Our only real hope seems to be Deepak and Satish being fed up and finally just letting go.

Thanks for the translation,EURobert. Very interesting stuff. Also, it will be very interesting to see what happens if/when Joran doesn’t talk.

Again, until Paulus is brought in….this is all a sham.

Way too much effort was made to distance Paulus from his crimes. Way too many conflicts of interest incurred to get Paulus out of the way.

Where is his timeline KLPD? Where is his timeline Mos?

Quit obfuscating with J2K and bring in the real perp.

hmmm…maybe it is the old stuff being re-investigated. But also they might have uncovered new material because of the old….? Either way, let’s hope it is positive.

I think this line is the most significant in the story: “… Police and Attorney General in Aruba are convinced Joran and his friends Deepak and Satish have picked up girls many times befor, drugged them and had sex with them!!!”
Note well that the STATE ATTORNEY (or whatever you call such a person) now says that IN PUBLIC; I would think they are obliged now to proof that in court!!! If they can proof that these three are in the pen (and visiting the psychiatrists) for a VERY long time!

I’m still waiting for Aruba to come up with something to change my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m afraid that I am the skeptic here. I believe this is The Netherlands attempt to stop the bleeding. Aruba tourism is down the toilet (-10%) if the last travel show is any indicator. Did you notice no trolls came out to repudiate the pictures, which speak thousands of words? What other kind of evidence is needed to show lack of interest in Aruba travel?
      Big Meeting……………
“What evidence can we present without really presenting anything? How about intangible phone transcripts? We can write a script to fit the crime; eliminate the players we don’t want involved and then proceed to prosecute the goats and close the case.”

I don’t believe Natalee is in the ocean. I don’t believe she was taken to the beach.
It was stated that teenage islanders take to the water like fish and know where the boats are; well Joran lives only a few kilometers from the outback where the air shafts are located. That is where he played as a kid. He was probably warned not to play too close by his father; least you fall in and NO BODY will ever find you.

I do believe that Dennis Jacobs had a hand in the crime against Natalee. He was too quick to come up with excuses to Beth and Dave. He also should be indicted for destroying evidence and tampering with witness statements.
Obviously if a narcotics agent is placed in charge of a homicide; then narcotics/drugs played a roll in Natalee’s demise. Whether she was given them at C and C’s or the three drugged her; the necessity to cover up the paper trail is quite evident.
I have followed this case from almost day one. Last night it sunk in that Natalee in all probability is no longer with us.

    7. brie on November 25th, 2007 12:42 pm

We know Paulus did the coaching of these 3. Once separated, re-questioned and examined things may shed a different light. There are many unanswered questions.

It was a botched up investigation from the very beginning, as we all know.

Satish knows something bad happened and he’s the weakest link.

    8. KrisG on November 25th, 2007 1:18 pm

Mr. Hans Mos, if you truly want to demonstrate to the American people that you want this case solved do not let PVDS represent Joran. In fact, you can see from your investigation that PVDS knows more about what happened to Natalee and he should also be interrogated. He should be held accountable for Natalee’s fate since he let his son drink and gamble from the age of 14. This is from Joran’s own book so it is not disputed. If Joran wasn’t in the casino he would never have met Natalee and if Joran wasn’t in Carlos & Charlies he would never have been able to offer Natalee a ride home. The VDSs and other parents of Aruba who let their sons prey on vacationing girls should be held responsible for crimes committed just like the parents of an Illinois teen that allowed underage drinking at their home were held responsible for the teens that were killed while driving home from that party.

Why would anyone want to vacation in a place where a crime can be committed against them and no one whould be held accountable?

    9. nurturer on November 25th, 2007 1:28 pm

I always thought that there was really nothing complicated about this case. Three punks took a lone female American tourist for a ride in their car, at night, knowing full well that she was on unfamiliar territory. They returned. She didn’t.

What surprised me, was how complicated it BECAME. Properly handled, these punks would have been sentenced for their crime long before Christmas 2005.

However, as we now know, political influence took over, which included a body disposal and political coverup. Some will say, “How do you know Natalee’s body was disposed of?”

If it wasn’t, then where is she?

What has given this case all of it’s negative fuel is the Aruban political influence to cover up a crime, Aruban law enforcement indifference and Aruban innuendo targeted at a grieving family.

But the crime itself, I think, would have been easy to solve for experienced investigators. Presumably like the Dutch investigators involved now. And a new prosecutor that SEEMS to care.

      He’d better.

Because if this turns out to be more salt on the wound, he are all his law enforcement pals would be well advised to review recent history, so that they are not condemned to repeat it.

    10. Patti on November 25th, 2007 1:35 pm

This brings to thought the fact that just a week ago the Dutch had criticized the Arubans, warning that if they screw up one more time…

Why is it that this case has to be thrown into a political arena. The investigative material was gathered by the Dutch. Why would they hand the ball back to Aruba where it has already been proven, over and over, that the scales of Justice tip in the direction of lies, coercion and, finally, silence.

As long as the Croes, who don’t look like birds, are in power; as long as Oduber holds the muzzle, and as long as the Arawak Nation stands guard over their people, there is no Justice in Aruba. The Dutch can say that this is their last chance, they’d better not screw up, whatever THAT means; while we know that this was never a screw-up, in Aruba, but a deliberate act to hide the truth.

As this case is in the political arena, like a can of worms being passed back and forth between the mother of Aruba and her son, let a neutral party view the case. Let the voices of the victim’s family be heard and get to the bottom of the cruel corruption that IS Aruba AND, perhaps, the Netherlands, as well.

One more chance… what kind of bullshit is THAT? What? Does the Netherlands expect Aruba’s corrupt political leaders to hang THEMSELVES?!?!

      .

      Queen Bea:

Step up, and act civilized, responsible and sypathetic to your TRUE victims and quit supporting the perpetrators of pain and suffering. Be the Leader, not the follower and please, finally, exert your power over your people.

Listened to an interview with Paul Reynolds(Nat’s uncle)he seems to be hopeful that the answers will come. He also mentioned the fact that the 3 suspects could of also had help and specifically mentions the father of Joran. He said perhaps things could even lead to perjury.

    13. ing on November 25th, 2007 2:05 pm

      @patti,

Just for clarification: “One more chance” should be seen more in the context of Aruba’s financial situation and not in relation to the NH case.
Also the Queen has no real power in the Netherlands. Furthermore, the name “Croes”, is an extremely common name in Aruba, like “Smith” in the U.S.

Just info, no judgement/comment on your views.

    14. Allan on November 25th, 2007 2:07 pm

We all know the perverted Joran and pimps did this before, this is not new news. This is all show. If not, they would have arrested others that was involved in the cover-up.

    15. A New Girl on November 25th, 2007 2:27 pm

I have also followed this case since day one and wish to give ScaredMonkeys & Greta Van Sustern the honorable mention they deserve for keeping this case upfront and in the limelight.

From the beginning, I always believed that Natalee had been slipped something- and mixed with her drinking led to her fatal error in judgement that evening. It has been obvious that the investigation was botched from day one and also that Pappa Van Sloot coached all three of these boys as to how to proceed after the accidental death of Natalee. I also believe she was sexually taken advantage of and will never forget the GALL of one of the Kalpoe brothers to state publicly (several times) that Natalee was “dressed like a slut”. He has serious mental issues and obviously has preyed on young females before.

Finally, I hope after all this time Beth Holloway, Dave Holloway and even Twitty can get the closure they all deserve to this horrible tragedy. Anita VDS and Paulus need to accept FULL responsibility for coveting their son these last 2.5 years and PVDS for lying to officials at the time about his involvment. Joran and the Kalpoe brothers will hopefully spend many years incarcerated to reflect upon their actions, lies and horrible aftermath and how much pain and trouble it caused everyone involved. Natalee can never be brought back- but at a minimum- her parents/step-parents friends and family can hold their heads high knowing their voice for justice has never been silenced.

THANK YOU SCARED MONKEYS & TIM MILLER ALSO !

    16. Kat_Gram on November 25th, 2007 2:51 pm

If they all decline to speak, will Mr. Mos lay those charges ? Their lawyers will advise them to not speak and that is their right.
Do they have enough right now ?

    17. kayjay on November 25th, 2007 2:58 pm

If worst comes to worst is lying under oath a crime in Aruba? I am a bit sceptical about the authorities getting these three hard boiled bastards to talk (note what Mr. mos says about the three of them in the car together..not a word).
I had heard that the Kalpoes, either one or both, had criminal records before this case and probably know the score. Don’t weant to be negative, but I am disappointed there is no TANGIBLE evidence. What happened to all the stuff that was sent to Holland?
I pray that the water search will find Natalee ..”Speed Bonny Boat Like A bird On The Wing…..”

At this time, the threesome will probably resort to finger pointing. Let us wait and see them blame each other.

P.S. To the above ….does anyone have an address or email for Mr. Hans Mos? I want to put my 2 cents in about why “The Judge” hasn’t been rearrested.
      _________________
SM: FYI – Paul van der Sloot is not a judge, he’s an attorney. Just didn’t want you to call him a judge in your letter to Hans Mos (no I don’t have Mr. Mos’s email addy ;) ) (klaasend)

      Ing:

Croes is a common name, but anyone who knows me and knows the history of this case know which Croes I’m talking about.

Jan Van der Straaten’s superior officer and Minister of Justice Croes; his father, Charles Croes, Director of the Aruba Tourist Association; and his son Steve Croes who is a good friend of Joran and was there, at the beach, the night that Natalee was abducted, as was his grandfather, Charles, who knew Natalee and her family; and Paulus…

      Arawaks

They all have blood on their hands.

      Is that clear enough?

      Thanks,

      Patti

P.S. In my opinion, there are cell phone records that indicate the above statements are true.

    21. Deetch on November 25th, 2007 3:22 pm

They have already sung, over and over. What the prosecutor is saying is that their song’s were “misinterpreted.”

This is political speak for “the authorities entrusted to represent Natalee, instead, represented the criminals all in the name of “protecting” Aruba.

They aren’t stupid or corrupt, they’re both.

Deetch – Bingo. They knew the deal from the get-go. But chose to protect the guilty.

Now, they’re throwing a fresh face at the problem hoping to garner favorable public opinion from the world, particularly the USA, so the cash will start coming in.

And if that cash flow starts, it’s back to protecting the gulty again.

For the sake of his precious island, I certainly hope that he knows that his mandate needs to be to CRUSH these three, and then go after the “Judge-in-Training”.

The eyes of the USA are upon you Hans baby. Don’t mess it up.

    25. diverboy on November 25th, 2007 4:27 pm

If in fact they do clam up, it would not be a reason not to go to trial. Eventually they would face the judge(s) and have to speak. Not doing so at that time would not be a good idea. Lets just hope they do in fact have enough evidence to bury the three amigos and its not just a show. Hans Mos seems to be talking a good game, compared to the that incompetent KJ and Dumbpig.

    26. rm on November 25th, 2007 4:34 pm

Oh, that was the prosecutor’s emailaddress, hmmm…forgot to say that!

    27. will on November 25th, 2007 4:46 pm

when they say there is ‘new evidence ‘ you also have to factor in that before, the prosecution was not required to divulge all evidence. So there may be some things only the prosecutor knows about which came from the initial investigation which will be brought forth this time. Plus maybe some new stuff as a result of
      the ongoing investigation.

    29. Patti on November 25th, 2007 5:52 pm

In Aruba, being an Arawak is a way of life, a
religion, a choice and a creed. You don’t have to be full blooded Arawak to be one. All it takes are bad choices by blood thirsty women, loose, nasty and coruupt women… and their men become powerful…

or in Paulus’ case “In Training”

Natalee was tested three time, each time passing the test… so she was chosen with no regard for her family, or for those that loved her or for ALL the things that MADE her good. The sacrificial death of a Christian child to the pagan gods of the Arawak, because of her virtue; will not be tolerated…

      The Arawak Nation will fall!

Come on Aruba, Screw Us One More Time!!!!!!!

    30. Richard on November 25th, 2007 6:45 pm

Well, one thing is clear … judging from this, all the Aruban statements that the boycott was having no effect are bogus. Just like everything else that we’ve heard from Aruba.

    31. Richard on November 25th, 2007 6:46 pm

MD, are you saying that Paulus is willing to let Joran go down the river to save himself?

Seems highly unlikely to me, not to mention that it probably wouldn’t work.

    32. Brenda on November 25th, 2007 7:37 pm

Gotta agree that Paulus won’t let “precious” take the fall if at all possible. Obviously papa is on the same end of the rope as his spawn….but either way, he’s out to save the eldest of his motley crew whether directly involved or not. How many here believe this is the FIRST time daddy-o covered for baby-o??? (NOT!)

Additionally, there’s no way Urin could have had the brains or connections necessary to carry out any coverup that would work. So pa and son are forever intertwined in their Stephen King-type fairy tale they’ve chosen to live.

What I think is the most pathetic is Mrs. Sloot. What a piece of work? Can you see her sitting to tea with Scott Peterson’s mom discussing all of the “injustices” their babykins have been put through? Oh…and over such “trashy” women! Yup..I can see it clearly. Apple doesn’t fall (or roll) too far from the tree now, does it?

I say not only the K2s, but officials within the law enforcement community will eventually spew/hurl the beans. If only immunity were available in Aruba…I’d LOVE to see some of the “lower-end” folks in the Aruban “justice system” tell on their superiors…whom they are not ignorant of, but certainly wary of due to possible loss of job or (more likely) of life.

    33. Brenda on November 25th, 2007 7:45 pm

I’d also like to weigh in on what is meant my “new evidence”. Some of this is obviously due to taped conversations that were not transcribed in totality. Also, with new wiretaps, new evidence may be nothing more than new discrepencies in sworn statemnents. Really,,,,that CAN (and has in this country) been used to admit evidence as new. We all know this is old…but they have something concrete or would not have brought the dross of Paulus back for more questioning.

Wonder if mamma will bring pookie a pillow this time in the hooskow?? Maybe his favorite plankie too? :>)

Oh…how’d I’d love to watch that tub of crap break down into sobs over the “tough” questioning. (do I hear violins playing softly in the background? Hand that boy a tissue!!)

    34. Deetch on November 25th, 2007 7:54 pm

I think it’s entirely plausible that Joran is covering for his father and will go down for him. He will do his time and still have some left.

For Paulus, it’s virtual suicide if he goes down, life over.

    35. kayjay on November 25th, 2007 8:06 pm

Thanks Klaas for correcting me..I was under the impression that Paulus was a judge. Actually I’m glad to hear that he isn’t, and now maybe, and I certainly hope so, that he’ll end up at least disbarred.
Thank you also for all the work you put in to keep Scared Monkeys on the right flight path….it must be a very time consuming job, but from my point of view much appreciated.

    36. rm on November 25th, 2007 8:17 pm

It is new and old evidence, combined, makes for questions to be answered.

    37. Miss-Underestimated on November 25th, 2007 8:28 pm

Mos was on Fox and said that he was given hell because tourist were just slowly coming back, and seems some ppl on the island think he should have just let this case fade. He said he couldn’t do, that. So if infact that is true, Mos may well be doing what is ethically right.

If Mos is looking to the long term affects of this case on Aruba, the best thing that can be done is to put the three, four, five or 10 in jail. That will instill confidence in tourists.

    38. buster on November 25th, 2007 8:42 pm

#32 in this case the apple fell in a pile of $hit

    39. CS Kiene on November 25th, 2007 9:12 pm

I too have been following this case since the beginning. I see one similiarity in the Holloway’s case and my neice’s case.

My niece was murdered in 2003, but she was found. Buzzards circling overhead alerted her burial spot! Before they found my neice, the killer’s brother came out in the hallway and announced to our family, “The sheriff said if there isn’t any body, there isn’t any case!”
We were so mad we could spit nails at that comment!

Well, my neice’s body was found-and now the killer is in jail for life w/o parole!

I am praying they find Natalie’s body, and professionals are allowed to obtain all the necessary evidence. I was looking at lobster traps online, they look very sturdy. If this is indeed where she is, I hope alot of evidence is preserved.

I am very disappointed that this expedition to find Natalie has not taken place prior to this…..

My prayers are with Natalie’s family. Those that are guilty will surely break someday to accept the punishment they know they deserve! Living a life that is a lie is no life at all…

I don’t know how a murderer can maintain a normal appearance under the weight of their deception. I can only bet their sleep is haunted by visions of their victim…….

A few comments on Thought Print and then I will keep quiet. I may be wrong on some facts; but I’m sure someone will come to the rescue.
I believe in this technique; however in order to wrest a subliminal confession from the suspect, the suspect has to have his ducks in a row. The source: Deepak’s Email.
First of all Deepak is confused. It was I believe Ruth that lost the $360.00 of herfather’s money gambling not Natalee. Dave gave Natalee $500.00 towards the trip which she left in the bank in Alabama. Remember she didn’t even bring her debit card; that too was back in Alabama. Remember for later the debit card. So from the beginning, Deepak has the wrong girl. However it does reinforce my conception of how the girls were impressed; albeit twenty times before. Enter Guido. Here is where Joran has an in to get back at least $100.00 to impress a female tourist. Joran says he can only win back $100.00. That is the amount through out the statements. So; yes this is one part of a confession. She, Natalee wanted to go see sharks, where she saw them before and the lighthouse is used as a phallic symbol. Sharks, shark fiest is pimp code for gang bang. From this it is my opinion that Natalee was subjected to two attacks at two different locations.
(The girl). “this is my last night and I will be at Carlos and Charlie’s, will you be there? He, Joran says no but she begs and he agrees. Again, I think it was Ruth, not Natalee. Ruth may have been a little more street wise and felt she should not approach Joran at C and C’s and left early before closing. Deepak. “When we got to C and C’s people were dancing and there was Natalee too. “THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I SAW HER”. So why say it was Natalee that lost the $360.00.
Deepak. “Her hair is cut and now red. Could reference that her hair had been cut and the red is blood from her hitting her head on a FLOOR; not on THE GROUND.
As an aside I cannot understand Dennis Jacob’s fixation on where was Natalee’s debit card. Although Beth said it was at home he never seemed to let up about the debit card.
From this statement by DJ, I gather when the three were finished with their attack on Natalee she was brought to a crack house owned or directed by DJ so they could drain her bank account. DJ may not have believed Joran and he thought that Joran had taken it for himself. Natalee was assaulted again and her hair was cut.
Again I think someone else may have been the original target; but she left early.

I think part of this is for show. Like someone said to win back the American trust. This is Aruba, perhaps, handing over a goat or two.

Yes, Joran will take a fall for his father and for the Arawak Nation. He will, like all those before him, keep what really happened a secret; and, yes, he knows that if his father goes down, it’s for good.

But, the birds have not sung… and I think they will. By now, they know what happened to Natalee and it would be to their benefit to tell all. They saw Jan Van der Straaten at the Sloots, and we saw him at the rocks.

The sense of everything being okay, or taken care of, when they thought they were at fault for Natalee’s death; is what buried the Kalpoes in this case, in my opinion, and they can tell more about the corruption and cover-up, with first hand knowledge, than anyone alive. I remember them pleading with Joran to “just tell the truth” and, even today the prayers for truth go unanswered.

Joran will never tell the truth. It means his mother, not only his father, will be imprisoned. It’s going to be up to the Kalpoes to tell the truth…. question is, will we hear it, and more than that, will we believe it?

      Justice for Natalee

    42. Lily on November 25th, 2007 10:55 pm

#29 Pati – what do you mean Natalee was tested three times? Tested by whom and tested for what?

    43. Gunslinger on November 25th, 2007 11:18 pm

      Patti:

With regards to what you say…

      I understand.

      We will have justice.
This Child of God will be returned to her parents.

If not, we will remove the breath of life from aruba.

    44. Lily on November 25th, 2007 11:33 pm

#40 10061906 – I read about thought prints years ago. But back then they only discussed subconscious body language –like when you are bored your legs/feet move about as if you want to leave but you can’t etc. I agree the subconscious wants to tell the truth – this has been proven over the many years, and the ignorant posters just need to google and buy some books on the topic to learn about it. It is why we have verbal ‘slip-ups’, as our subconscious overtakes our concious mind when we are deep in thought about a pending issue.

Now about the ‘sharks’– maybe Joran invited her to attend a private casino party that night at ‘bills lodgings’ (holiday inn). Alot of celebrities were in town for the Texas Hold ‘Em and Soul Beach Music Festival and also recall the FEB comment “let’s just say we saw here there (holiday inn) and leave it at that” and her two cuzins did play Texas Hold’Em with Joran and I’m sure one sporter to another they got friendly and knew of such after parties perhaps. And the card sharks would be those high rolling “POSh*ts” at that HI private party in that private room (as we know the HI has those 7 levels) –awaiting a shark feeding frenzy on what should have been Ruth, but Natalee was selected instead. Joran had to appologize to ‘someone’ for selecting Natalee over Ruth in one of his police statements – that was clear as a bell to me as he said he didn’t find Natalee as attractive as he did Ruth.

Codetalkers said there was a trade – Natalee for Joran’s gambling debt; Natalee for Joran’s drug habit; Natalee for Joran to win favor with the casino folks, whatever. Codetalkers said they knew it was dangerous to trade with the lions. So a poor, helpless, drugged Natalee may have died AFTER being traded like a baseball card, and Joran was asked to retrieve her not knowing he would be taking the full blame for her death. That is why he can lie to the camera – that is why he said ‘one day I will tell the whole story, just not now”. But he, like all the others that FLED off Aruba (his tennis buddy Guido Wever who got the best laywer $ could buy), Gottenbos up and sold all and now live in Mississippi USA (I believe), and GVC up and ‘fleeing’…why? Who are they all afraid of?

Now all this is just ‘codetalker speculation’ so don’t shoot me – please! Just had to respond to your post on ‘sharks’. The fact that she mentioned her mother being Hitler’s sister, and asking Joran if the Kalpoes’ were slaves means to me she was administered a truth serum type of drug – again JMHO.

A drug someone should administer to Joran so we would all find out the truth!!!

    45. Maggie on November 25th, 2007 11:45 pm

I believe Paulus is up to his neck in this.. Not sure to what extent. It sure looks like Paulus in that casino too. Him and Joran are 2 of a kind. Anita is the queen of denial. Don’t take long to see where Joran got his habits from when you look at his parents.

Got the Holloway story on the Lineup right now and soon JoeT will make his 2000000000 in the last 3 days to tell us this is nothing and Joran’s a saint again.. He must think everyone is toadstools, keep everyone in the dark and feed them bs.

    46. Patti on November 25th, 2007 11:56 pm

      Thank you so much, Gunslinger…

      .

      Lily:

Why do you think that Joran went ballistic when
Beth said that Natalee was a virgin? She hit a
      nerve.

      Natalee’s virtue was tested…

They had to be sure that she was a virgin.

      First, Geoffrey.

Then, they moved her into a different
room to be watched and observed,

      And then, Joran

      .

They presented Natalee to the sNooTs at the Casino

for Paulus’ approval… and a deal was struck.

      IMO

How much is this going to help Deepak and Satish’s lawsuit ??? I bet none.

    50. Jo-Marie on November 26th, 2007 1:42 am

      KrisG
As to Aruban law, I’ve heard American attorneys say they don’t fully understand it. If even half the parents of young criminals in our country were held accountable and paid a penalty because they are unfit parents, we just might see crime rates go down.

Frankly, I believe bad parents SHOULD pay a heavy price, but they rarely do.

Joran’s parents allowed him way too much freedom…even to breaking the law. They most likely will not be held accountable for any crimes he may have committed…unless Dutch law differs in this way from U.S. law.

Paulus Van der Sloot will face charges if it is proven that he had any criminal role himself in Natalee Holloway’s disappearance.

    51. EURobert on November 26th, 2007 6:18 am

According to these two articles Joran until know doesn’t yield:
      http://www.zijonline.nl/news.asp?gossipID=35782
      http://telegraaf-i.telegraaf.nl/daily/2007/11/26/TE/TE_2S_20071126_1/pagina.php

      The first article says:
      - nobody within the investigation-team believes Natalee is still alive
      - Yoran untill now didn’t yield
      - interrogation specialists were flown in from the NL’s and he is looked at by behavioural analists
      - the investigators have the impression that the three prayed on drunk american girls and they had a fixed strategy in that; Natalee was certainly not their first victim!

The second article (top right of the newspaper cover) I can’t read because it’s a pay-for-article; but the header says “Yoran doesn’t yield one bit” (“Geeft geen krimp” is a dutch expression that I don’t know how to translate literaly)

Hans Mos, we are putting our faith and trust in you.
Let’s see Joran and the Kalpoes in jail!

Are you going after Paulus and the others, too?
      ———–
Aruba, don’t blow it this time.
This had better be the real thing.

    54. Quest on November 26th, 2007 8:24 am

Is it fair to “attack” an island and its population and boycott it publicly because of three guys who are not even born there? Is it fair to say all americans like going to war and kill people because a government does so? All are americans traitors because one american guy was fighting with Al Quaida? I understand your pain and you wanting to know what happened to Natalee, I would too if I found myself in the same situation, but i wouldn’t go attacking a whole country or in this case island, hurting its source of income which is tourism. Is it fair?

    55. Vicki on November 26th, 2007 8:41 am

#44-Lily, it is not a fact that Natalee said her mom was Hitlers sister, that came out of the LIARS mouths and not to be taken as FACT….nothing that those filthy LYING DOGS can be taken as FACT. What an arrogant PIG that URINE is…may he rot in hell for this…drugging and raping tourists…Ill bet they locked him up in the PRISON, so he cant be offed by ppl that he may have info on…and the only reason TACOJOE is involved is cause of the MAFIA on the ISLAND and off…they want to make sure the punk doesnt spill his guts.
1906- I know you are right…he wanted RUTH instead of Natalee…I think Ruth knows it also…How horrible for all of these ppl to have suffered and gone thru hell for these sorry pieces of SH#%……

    56. brenda on November 26th, 2007 9:06 am

Dear #39, Sadly…a sociopath ALWAYS feels justified in their minds no matter what dasterdly deed they commit. That is why the Good Book says murders have no place in heaven/afterlife/whatever you want to call it. Capital punishment is not murder…it’s called WHAT a MUDERER NEEDs and DESERVES for their crime!

You can’t fix a sociopath. Easier to help a psychopath because that is a problem with the mind. Sociopaths have corrupt hearts/souls. No fixing that mess.

Quite sorry about your niece. Glad your family at least got justice, but to say “closure” seems rather empty…you know?

      Brenda

    57. brenda on November 26th, 2007 10:48 am

#54..it IS fair to say that the island is UNSAFE because human waste such as Joran and the K2s are allowed to prey on innocent female tourists while the authorities WHO ARE PAID BY THE RESIDENTS OF AND LIVE ON the island turn their heads and look the other way.

Not only that…many RESIDENTS of Aruba have said that “want this case to go away”. GOOD!! So will the “evil” American tourists!!!

We are uninterested in your meaningless musings.

    58. SUPER DAVE on November 26th, 2007 2:00 pm

#54: WOULD IT BE FAIR IF IT WERE YOUR DAUGHTER? i know the answer to that question already and it is no!
a lot of people on this island that know the real truth and are still holding back.
if Mos is not just making a show, we’ll know soon one way or the other. the punishment should be the most cruel that the law allows.
although cowboy justice would have been more acceptable to most of us and a lot quicker. this island’s suffering is not even worth worrying about compared to a family losing a child in this manner. they knew the suffering would come, we told them so for the last two years and still they held their tounges out of hatred or fear of their own officials. their hate only fueled our fire.

    59. Richard on November 26th, 2007 3:19 pm

I don’t think Joran would even consider covering up for his father, assuming that he himself would go to jail. And it’s ludicrous to think that the Kalpoes would. What benefit would there be for them?

    60. Nut44x4 on November 26th, 2007 5:21 pm

IT IS TIME to round up the rest of the island pervs involved in this…stay tuned.

    61. Patti on November 26th, 2007 7:54 pm

      #54 – Quest:

Do you honestly think that this was a case of three boys out to have a good time with a girl who resisted? Since when does the Chief of Police, Miniser of Justice and Prime Minister of an island put their careers on the line over a few perverted boys who ACCIDENTLY kill someone?

      Get real.

Anyone who believes that the most powerful people on the island don’t have their hands in this had better think again. This was not a blotched case, this was a case of keeping secret the most shocking thing about Aruba, it’s culture. Afterall, who is going to go to an island that is over-run with human-sacrificing cannibals?

      Feeding the Gods…

      THAT’s what the disappearance

      of Natalee Holloway is about.

Boycotting Aruba is saving lives; that’s why Beth called for the boycott. IF you can’t get justice for one little girl, what makes you think you can get justice for another?

As long as there are Arawak on Aruba, there is no justice for anyone. Do you think that PitBull’s family got justice? How would you like to receive your son in the condition that he was in and be told that he killed HIMSELF? Was it out of fear that they don’t ask any questions? I think yes.

Even the name Arawak, strikes fear in every man, woman and child… and if it doesn’t, it will.

      Boycott Aruba!

    62. Mike on November 26th, 2007 8:36 pm

      #54,

YES! The people approve of the actions of the few by not standing up against the corruption. If you think it is bad now……wait until the perps are let go this time and you might as well pull out the stopper and sink the piece of crap of an island.

If they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and not just slapped on the wrist then I believe you will recover your tourism. If not then that will be ”Tough DO-DO”.

    63. James on November 26th, 2007 11:12 pm

What gets me is Joe Tacapino -may have spelled the lawyer’s name wrong-Joran’s attorney from USA—————–is smart alec like. He’s almost spewing “no way” my boys are guilty.

Like OJ…………these three young men either know who did kill Natalee or they did it themselves.

Daddy Sloot knows something and helped too.

    64. Richard on November 27th, 2007 12:35 am

Of course, if we wanted to press to the fullest extent the idea of an ongoing conspiracy … we could say that the statements that it is certain that Natalee is dead (without a body) only prove that, in fact, they know she was trafficked out of Aruba alive and don’t dare admit it.

But that doesn’t seem likely now.

    65. Patti on November 27th, 2007 3:21 am

      Richard:

Who knows for sure? If the Chicago Videos are fake, then who’s to say that Natalee isn’t alive somewhere?

One thing that I wonder about is whether the arm bone that washed up was Natalee’s and that’s the “new” evidence that they’re using to re-open the case. Remember, originally they said that it was an ancient Indian bone? Or the carcass that was found by the tourists?

There has to be something on which he is basing his theory that Natalee is dead. He sounds too sure of it, for it to be just a hunch. I just wonder how much of that kind of evidence he is going to share with us?

I must say, I don’t understand their system and look forward to seeing how their trials work. Do you remember how the Holloways were never allowed to be present during the proceedings? I wonder if that’s going to be true with this prosecutor?

      Hope you’re doing good.

      Patti

P.S. It’s not over, til it’s over and with Aruba?
      It may never be over.

    66. Dolf on November 29th, 2007 9:09 am

      few things

      1) Queen Beatrix
      2) She doesn’t speak out on matters like these, she is not allowed
      3) she has no formal power
      4) quote”What about YOU, Queen Bea?

      Do you hate us, too?”

very very insulting to a head of state
