Its nice to see that PVDS is a defense attorney for a suspected criminal. What a shock. The below article from Diario with references to van der Sloot and Dompig has to do with the following case in drivers license corruption case in Aruba. Jossy Mansur, Managing editor of Diario was kind enough to explain exactly what the gist of the article is as follows:
It has to do with a big case of corruption, in which fraudulent driver licenses were
sold. Sloot was one of the defense lawyers for one of the implicated persons. Everyone of his proposals to the Judge (to void the citation, and to set his client free) were rejected. He then asked for Gerald Dompig to be put on the witness stand because he was in charge of the department that issues driver licenses at the time when the licenses were sold. The judge did grant Sloot the petition to put Dompig on the witness stand. Treatment of the case will continue on the 13th of September at 1:00 p.m.
When I asked Jossy Mansur whether the reference to van der Sloot was in fact the same infamous, Paul van der Sloot, he stated the following:

Paul VDS purporting to be practicing “law” or Paul VDS driving Aruba into hell.
Someone with integrity needs to get behind the wheel and drive Paul VDS into jail with all the murderers of Natalee Holloway.

There is something very disconcerting about PVDS practicing law. We know he has lied. We know he advised the perps to lie, to be evasive and obstruct

Paulus defending (inept as it was) someone accused of a crime? Say it isn’t so!
Dumbpig testifying for the defense? Was the oath: “I promise to tell everything but the truth”? How did he go from Chief of Police to issuer of drivers’ licenses. Doesn’t sound like a promotion to me.
The guy he is defending is probably the one he and his family got their driver’s license, VIP pass to Carlos n Charlies, and law license from. Can you see Paulus in court based on his police statments. Well I don’t really recall who my client is.. I can’t really remember if I asked for Dompig to be on the stand or not. I can’t remember if this is the court date or not. I don’t recall if I’m a lawyer or not. I can’t remember if my client did this or not. Remember when he said he left the court and said he wasn’t going to return as long as his son was in this mess, because appearances were everything. Then he goes to work for his son’s lawyer. He’s even more sick than his son IMO. He and Anita let their son run the streets all night for years doing whatever he pleased. How is he a lawyer when he has his underage son in a casino drinking and gambling with him? Like Robots says they make me sick. Dompig taking people to court for fake driver’s license? What about Joran with his fake VIP pass to Carlos n Charlies which allowed Joran to be around Natalee? These people make the laws up as they go along and depends on who’s in trouble.
And the two meet up again. What lies with be told in that court room? I’d like to be a fly on the wall.
Yep… always blame everythng on Dompig.
But, what about his predecessor?
Did Dompig inherit some extracurricular
duties with the job?
It seems to me that Dompig is the one person
that Van der Sloot would most like to hang.
He was the one that got his son to confess to
the murder of Natalee Holloway and was the one
that was the least interested in going along
with the dog and pony show that Paulus and
Mr. Van der Straaten had cooked up. No wonder
Dompig’s own son was dragged in for questioning.
Personally, I believe it was then that Dompig
cooled his heels.
Makes you wonder… how deep is this sea of
corruption that even the Police Commissioner
would bow down to its’ power. Is there any
doubt in Gerold’s mind that he and his family
were next-in-line to be the scape-goat?
We all saw how Mr. Jan left the island in a
hurry shortly after the cover-up at the rocks.
Seeking assylum, I suppose.
I would close by saying that Aruba should rot in
hell, but it is already rotten to the core. All
I can hope for is Justice for Natalee and for all
the other souls that got caught up in their web of
lies and deceit.

I agree with Allan. If it had of been my
daughter, Joran wouldn’t be walking around
with that half-witted look on his face. As
soon as the videos came to light and the body
in the bag was published, that would have been
enough for me.
Van der Sloot said, “I am going to protect my
son” and as the mother of the victim, I would
have protected my daughter. It was obvious,
at that point, that the corruption ran deep in
the island and Natalee would never have justice.
The very people that were to protect her were
carting her around, hiding her from her own
parents, obstructing any justice that, under
normal circumstances, is a God-given right.
She was robbed, even, the right of a decent
burial.
Within the past year, Tennessee LE charged several individuals with illegally assisting undocumented aliens with obtaining driver’s licenses. I know there were lawyers who defended those charged as that is a precept of the US constitution.
It would seem then that the following is true
1. Driver’s licenses are obtained illegally and with the assistance of individuals within the United States
2. Those charged were represented by lawyers whose job it was to defend those charged with a crime.
How is what happened in Aruba any different than what happened in Tennessee? Answer: NOTHING.

I think Dompig was on the right track in the initial beginning but Straaten but a stop to everything…along with and including Rudy Croes and Nelson Oduber….shut that woman up and I am sick and tired of this case…why is Posner, a criminal allowed to own a casino in Aruba, Paulus did the paper work and no one ? him…he threatened Beth… no one ?’d him on his timeline involving Natalee…and now we show void the citation and set the criminal free…just like Joran….forget the crime and set him free…you have to be the worst thing that ever happened to Aruba…as a lawyer I am sure you have violated the rights of serving justice…the Dutch are going to nail your butt>>>!

Just a small snip of the coverup orchestrated by Paul Van Der Sloot and his Friends. No doubt in my mind Rudy Croes and PVDS are up to there eyeballs in Natalee’s dissapearance.

GRACE: … Jossy, regarding the connection, what I perceived to be a close connection between the judge, Paulus Van Der Sloot and the retired chief of police who initially handled Natalee`s case, Van Der Stratten, were they friends?
MANSUR: Of course, they were friends. It stands to reason they were friends because Paul Van Der Sloot had many friends within the police department; he had many friends within the Department of Justice. And he had many friends with — and he was friendly with all the judges in Aruba. He worked out of the same office as they did and did the same work.
Take a close look what a joke this Investigation is. The Police commish is best friends of Paul Van Der Sloot and worked for him years earlier. He even commented how can I do this to my best friends son? He was in constant contact with PVDS in the middle of a investigation and some of the conversations were even tapped. After he killed the Investigation,Authorities in Aruba said he was retiring to Holland as he had planned for many months. He then left to Bonaire and kept the same title. He gave his good Friend and Godson 10 days to destroy evidence,get there stories straight while he and dompig were framing two innocent men. What evidence has this man seen?
5-13-05-Jan Van Der Straaten tells Joran he will help him get into a Mental Institution instead of prison.
Tuesday night(5-14-05) during the broadcast of the most popular entertainment news program in The Netherlands, RTL-Boulevard, crime reporter John van den Heuvel announced that he talked to police commissioner Jan van der Straten, who is heading the investigation. The commissioner told van den Heuvel that they expect the case of Natalee Holloway to be solved within the next 24 hours.
6-11-05 Announcement was made that there was a confession and the suspect was leading them to the body. Deputy Chief of Police Gerald Dompig used his star witness(Drug dealing crack head brother in-law Buti Naar)to implicate two innocent men to divert attention away from the real suspects. This same crack head later said that he saw Natalee Holloway with drugs. In turn the ALE now says that she killed herself from a cocaine overdose. Both are flat out lies and the whole world knows it.
Also this same week Antonio Carlo visted the Chief Prosecuter Karen Janssen that Joran played a major role in the dissapearance of Natalee. What did she do with the information…Nothing!!

Both Carlo and Van Der Sloot were barred from seeing Joran and for good reason. However that was short lived as apparently PVDS toook Rudy Croes to court and won the decision. Even though both of them Obstructed a Investigation by talking to witnesses.
The Aruban newspaper, AweMeinta, opened their Wednesday edition with the following headline: “Tata di Joran cu caso kontra Ministerio Publico”, the translation of this headline is: “Joran’s father takes justice ministry to court”. The article relates that Joran’s father, Paulus van der Sloot, has lost his patience. Paulus van der Sloot is taking the justice ministry to court because Unlike Joran’s mother, he hasn’t been allowed to visit his son since his arrest. Van der Sloot is also mad because Joran’s attorney, Antonio Carlo, has been dismissed by the justice ministry. The case is supposed to begin today in Aruban court.
Also Friday, the court barred van der Sloot’s lawyer, Antonio Carlo, from visiting the teen, effectively removing him from the case, said Attorney General spokeswoman Mariaine Croes.
As a result, the van der Sloots retained two more attorneys for the defense of their son, Richie Kock and Arjan Debie.
The court granted prosecutors’ request to remove Carlo because he had visited one of two former security guards who had been detained and released in the case, authorities said.
Croes said the Dutch teenager has a team of lawyers, so Carlo’s removal will not leave them without representataion.

On August 30, 2005 Judge Smit issued a ruling that Joran should be held another 30 days, fled to Curacao and immediately faxed in a reversal of his ruling. Two weeks later he released all of the suspects,while ignoring incrimating evidence as well as a list of inconsistencies from the suspects.

DE VRIES: Well, the search in the home address of the family van der Sloot was very strange because the search warrant was made by head prosecutor Karin Janssen, and contained an allowance to search the whole address, “Montanja nineteen.”
So, the gardens, the buildings–everything.
But, when the police was on the spot, another high-ranking employee of the Justice office–it was Mr. Bob Witt–reduced the search warrant to only the room of Joran–and that was very strange.

Paul Van Der Sloot was allowed to Obstruct Justice by editing Jorans Transcripts,Talking to witnesses and Lied about a murder investigation. He called Natalee a corpse before she was even reported as missing. Instead of telling his son to tell the truth he told him to be quiet and lie about what happened. When all of Aruba was looking for the Missing Girl he hired a team of lawyers. He is seen on Video tape with Natalee just hours before she dissapears at the Casino. It is also proven he picked up Joran and Natalee at about 4AM on 5-30-05. A Witness had seen him as well as many witnesses including Police Officials heard it from his own mouth.. On 6-17-05 he then changed his statement and said he picked Joran up at 11pm. That same day he called a friend in N.Carolina and told her Natalee died after she hit her head and drowned.
He should have never been released as a suspect and been able to practice Law. He should be in prison!!It is proven he and his son were the last to see Natalee…So I have one question for Paul Van Der Sloot..What the hell did you do with Natalee Holloway??

Actually, no we are not related.
Why do you make that assertion?

If Dompig was busy working on the investigation
into the two security guards, it was because he
was being kept out of the loop. Which is strange
because he was the one that got Joran to confess
in the first place. I, honestly, don’t think
that he would have looked the other way if he had
of been present during the removal of Natalee’s
body from the rock area. I think he is more of
the type that wanted to make a big splash and
couldn’t help himself from going over the time
limit for interviewing a minor because he WANTED
to solve the crime.
We all know who was in charge – Van der Straaton
and at that time he was Dompig’s superior officer.
Dompig had to do what he was told. By the time
Dompig was in charge, the cover-up was complete,
besides, he didn’t hold the same clout in the
Justice Department as Van der Straaten and no one
was going to spill the beans… it was over, with
Dompig left to take the heat.
That’s my interpretation.

He’s the kind of man who picks up a beautiful child’s picture, claiming she’s “like family”, and then proceeds to slander her good honorable reprutation, her good and honorable character.
He’s the kind of man who can sleep at night, knowing he participated in the savagery of lies and cruel depravity that denied a brutally victimized child – something as decent and simple as a grave, and denied her family any ability to ever be at peace.
Gerold Dompig, the man who would be “chief”, who had neither the courage nor the integrity to honor what he KNEW was Natalee’s painful truths.
That is his legacy to the children of Aruba.

Given what we’ve seen go on in Aruba over the last few years, corruption with driver’s licenses is so picayune as to be risible.
The whole damn place is corrupt, ruled by drug lords, money launderers and who knows what else.
And our government doesn’t have the guts to speak out for an American citizen or an American family.
I, too, still have my Natalee Holloway and “boycott Aruba” posters on my car’s back window. They aren’t coming down until we get answers, prosecutions, convictions, and the return of Natalee dead or alive.

You’re right. Once he became Police Commissioner,
he did slander the reputation of Natalee by
suggesting that she died of a self-induced over-
dose. After Michael was taken in for
questioning, he all but dropped his interest in
the case.
But I do believe that there was a time when he,
sincerely, wanted to crack Joran and find
Natalee. In fact, he was the one that said there
was proof that Natalee’s body had been moved
several times which may account for the Dutch
team taking soil samples. Who else in the
Justice Department was willing to let the family
be aware that there were several people involved
in moving Natalee’s body around the island.
I think that he was sincere in his investigation,
but, someone got to him.
To bad Dompig turned his back on justice and all the American’s who came to believe that he was the only official telling the truth and being straight with us. He could’ve been a hero but in the end was just another big fat ZERO to the Aruban people, Natalee and millions of American’s counting on him.
Was Micheal involved with joining in on group sex with an unconcious tourist before Natalee? Maybe he was & his father threatened with video of it or just threats of other’s making statements that he had participated on previous tourist’s. But i think if he had been involved with Natalee we would’ve found out about it & he’d have been detained and his father would have never made the statements he made about the suspects to begin with.
27 Patti, if Dompig was so concerned with Justice and Truth, then why did he cave in so rapidly, when Ahata offered him a chance to represent their version of “what” happened to Natalee, which he offered to the American public, as being what the “polis now believe”.
I wonder what polis Dompig was referring to?
Do you think that’s what OUR USA police now believe, Patti?
Do you think that’s what our FBI believed, as they were being relegated to positions of “observer”, while Aruban officials were telling the media how “closely” Aruban polis were working with our FBI !
What did initially seem like some remnant of genuine concern for Natalee, on Dompig’s part, faded rather rapidly.
As I recall, he was very interested and outspoken concerning questions surrounding who the Dutch were going to appoint to the island as their next big polis “CHIEF”.
Concern for Natalee, or self-serving interests that he hoped would merit him a pat on the back and a upgrade in salary?
Only time will tell, Patti, but I can tell you this, I won’t be “holding my breaths” for a man who can’t seem to breathe one breath of life-giving sustenance for Natalee or for her heart broken, suffering, tormented family.
Dompig spoke of what some might perceive as aspirations of hope through the holding of our breaths, while what lay beneath the big “build up” of the investigation being conducted by Karen Janssen, was nothing more than a suffocation of Natalee’s truth… a stealing of her precious breaths of truth!
Breathing life into something so depraved and callously cruel as this case, would indeed be a powerful gesture – even from a man like Gerold Dompig.
The question is: Is there something life-giving inside this man’s heart that he could be so moved as to behave with honor, integrity and a long lost sense of justice?
I would be very happy to be very wrong about who Gerold Dompig appears to be.
Only time will tell…
In the meantime, Natalee’s hope awaits the chance that someone with enough compassion in their heart, and a sense of truth and integrity in their soul, might breathe new life into this vicious prison of torment that Beth and Dave continue to be subjected to.

Please see the other thread about the 4am pickup/dropoff. I believe there was a witness who saw PVDS driving at 3-4AM,Many witnesses heard PVDS declare it as well as the Supreme Court of Aruba said he had two contacts with Natalee. You can forget about Joran leaving Natalee at the beach and Paulus sleeping soundly throughout the night because it never happened.
PVDS said to many people that he picked both Natalee and Joran up at Mcdonalds at 4AM. It’s possible it was never a pickup because they were already at the VDS house. The Key question is where did he take them because it certainly wasnt the HI. Only two places come to mind and thats the Van Der Sloot or the Van Rijn house. What day did Joran catch the bus to school on the rd outside of Savaneta??

Maybe you’re right or maybe the scales of justice
are tipped by the wealthy and powerful. I believe
that had it been Dompig or anyone else, they would
have buckled under that power.
Maybe he got some money… apparantly, he had the
money to invest in a private security company with
all the state of the art equipment to handle any-
thing from your average house break-in to an all
out terrorist attack. You don’t earn that kind
of money on a police commissioner salary.
The point that I was making is that I find it
rather funny that Paulus Van der Sloot should
want to go after Gerold Dompig, given the varying
circumstances of the Holloway case, mainly, the
confession. Perhaps he’s got a vendeta against
the guy and who should know better about the
extra-curricular activities of that position than
Van der Straaten’s best friend, the Judge in
Training, himself, Paulass Ban der Snoop.
We’ll see…
