Are You ready for Some Football … Week 1 in the NFL Kicks Off
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!! The full weekend of NFL football is upon us. Let the games begin … Our condolences to the football widows.
The key match ups of week one.
The best games of the day will be as follows:
- New England Patriots at NY Jets
- Chicago Bears at San Diego Chargers
- Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
- NY Giants at Dallas Cowboys
The potential blow out of the day … Steelers at Cleveland. Browns do not have a chance. Upset special … Titans over the Jags.
UPDATE I: Looks like the above picks have been right on target so far:
Tom Brady, Randy Moss and the New England Patriots flexed their muscles and rolled over the NY Jets in the Meadowlands, 38–14. Tom Brady was 22-28, 297 yds, 3 TDs. Pats WR, Randy Moss caught 9 balls for 183 yards and 1 TD. Imagine what the Pats could have done last year if they had any wide receivers.
- NE Pats 38 NY Jets 14
- Steelers 34 Cleveland 7
- Titans 13 Jaguars 10
The Tennessee Titans rushed for an amazing 282 yards against the JAX Jaguars and stunned the Jags at home, 13–10. The Steelers man handled the Browns, 34–7. Browns fans this year can only look forward to the Brady Quinn era and when he will take over the reigns as QB.
UPDATE II: A clean Sweep on the rest of the first weeks picks
The Chicago Bears defence is as good if not better than last year holding LT to 25 yards on 14 carries. However, that darn Bear offence is offensive. Dallas QB Tony Romo passed for 4 TD’s and 345 yards as the Cowboys beat the Giants 45–35 is the highest scoring game in the two teams storied past. Giant’s QB Eli Manning had a great game but left in the fourth quarter with a separated shoulder and will be out at least a month.
- Bears 3 San Diego 14
- Ravens 20 Cincinnati 27
- Giants 35 Dallas 45
This weeks picks … 6–0.

It’s here, football is here baby I’m already seeing some the same familiar patterns but here’s to hoping for an exciting season.
I’m happy for Vince Young but Jags comeon surely you can do better than that.
Cristina,
No one but die-hard Titan fans were picking TN in this game. JAX had the #4 defense last year with 2 pro-bowl Defensive line men.
Stunner of the day was Wash over Miami. Its going to be a long year on South Beach.

Cleveland just traded Charlie Fry, looks like we are getting closer to the Brady Quinn era.
