Fireworks … Pipe Bombs, Same Difference When you Get Pulled Over By Police and You are Middle Eastern

Two Middle Eastern men, Ahmed Abda Sherf Mohamed and Yousef Samir Megahed, were charged Monday with possession of an explosive device. These two students at the University of South Florida in Tampa, were pulled over and arrested Saturday night in South Carolina and found with explosive devises in their vehicle. Police are stating that they were in possession of pipe bombs. Of course Ahmed and Yousef seem to have a different definition of an explosive device. They call them fireworks. Is there a terrorism connection or is it sky rockets? The mainstream media is deafening with their silence of reporting that the two men were muslim. If it were right wing Christian militia, that would be an entirely different reporting.

They admitted to having what they said were fireworks. Based on the officer’s judgment at hand, based on what he had seen, we judged it to be other than fireworks,” Berkeley County Sheriff Wayne DeWitt said.

Mohamed, 24, said he made pipe bombs from items he bought at Wal-Mart, according to an affidavit with his arrest warrant.

How long did it take for our prediction to come true, that this would be called racial profiling and be damned that they they were in possession of explosive devices? Not long at all.

Mohamed is a native of Kuwait and Megahed is Egyptian, the sheriff said. Both are in the country legally.

Ahmed Bedier, the executive director of a civil rights organization for Muslims in Tampa, criticized the arrest as racial profiling, an accusation South Carolina police refuted.

“Muslim with incendiary device spotted at gathering of Westerners”… a politically correct caption for a photograph of a Middle Eastern man lighting a woman’s cigarette at a cocktail party.

I’m not too concerned about the racial profiling, but would be curious as to exactly what an appropriate description of the device would have been and what its intended use actually was.

Fireworks are cheap. Why was he fashioning his own from other products? Just how powerful was the device and why was he transporting it in his car? What were the Florida students doing in the Carolinas? If this really was a firecracker why did the policeman over-react to it? Is this a replay of that supposed discovery of a personal missle by a federal agent who was unaware of what a vibrator was? Firecrackers may be foolish and childish. So too are the police responses to them and the journalists responses to them!

Does anyone have FACTS on this case other than headline-generating exaggerations?

Yeah, there must be a dozen legal reasons for having pipe bombs with a laptop computer in your trunk.

Let’s go back to interrogating 74 year old white grandma’s with teddy bears and get off this racial profiling. After all, we know they are the real danger.

There are alot of unanswered questions that we don’t know. However, Goose Creek is not close to the beaches in Charleston, but the Naval Base is. If they lived in Florida, why come to Charleston to celebrate at the beach? Florida beaches are far better than SC beaches, one would think. It was stated in the paper that they said they had “fireworks”. Fireworks are prohibited at the beach. It was also stated that these boys were naive. For one thing, they are not boys, they are grown men. It doesn’t matter what race, creed, religion they are. What they did looks suspicious in this day and time. The whole world seems to be going in the direction of not having to face up to any wrong doings. Some kind of excuse is always the way to get around owning up to your own responsibility as a human being. The bible teaches us otherwise, yet the bible and God are continuously being taken out of society for fear that you will step on someone’s toes. Why don’t we just get rid of all laws, give these “boys” their “toys” back and go one with life. Is that where we are headed today???? People just don’t get the whole picture of what is happening in our world today. You better get on the right path, or you will regret it some day.

      DEPORT AND BAN THEM !

Of course Ahmed, Tampa’s director of civil rights, criticized their arrest! Their goal is to take over the US, just as they have England! And, the first step, according to Aesop, is for the camel to get his nose into the herder’s tent, then his legs, finally taking the “tent” over when his entire body is in the tent!

Wake up America! The war IS here. These people can wait for years before they strike. But, strike they will, when the iron is hot!

We rarely hear Muslims criticizing other Muslims, even the murdering Muslims. But, the next time there is a strike on American soil, there’s a very real chance that Muslims will be run out of the country, particularly in middle America!

It’s a shame Bush didn’t blow Islamic Jihadists straight to hell during the first Gulf War :-(

We should just send them all back to their country on one of their own firecrackers they made. I don’t have any sympathy for them.

The muslim leader in Florida should just sit down and be quiet. We Americans will not put up with their violent acts of terrorism.

Pipe bombs are not firecrackers. Deport them.

    9. Fools Gold on August 7th, 2007 8:34 pm

      Pipe bombs are not firecrackers.
      And:
      Firecrackers are not pipe bombs.

So lets no react to these emotion-laden and contradictory reports and find out exactly what we are dealing with.

Maybe these guys were in league with the half-human terrorist animal that was caught with an assortment of explosive devices in his car while attending the funeral of Jerry Falwell, so he could commit a few murders on behalf of his dead idol. Funny, but I can’t recall ever hearing the disposition of that case; wonder what ever happened. Was the savage ever deported?

When I was living in Tampa for a short time to finally (3rd time back) complete my college degree, I attended and worked at a local (well known) college in the IT department. Many USF students attended if they couldn’t get a class there to fit their schedule since tranfer-classes give the same credits wherever you take them.

Anyway, after 911 some professor from USF was indicted on terrorism charges of some type. I asked alot of the students I knew who also attended USF about that professor and was told the following:

These kids told me his classes were almost 100% middle-eastern young men. They professor and his middle-eastern students spoke freely in class in their native language rather than english although the others in the class could not understand. (Yes, he’d answer in english if questioned in english). This professor seemed to have more “personal” relationships with those of his race than the others….hanging after class with them often. If you were white or black or ANYthing else, you were an outcase in class.

I am certain Florida is a MAIN hiding place for these people (Islamo-terrorists). Thanks for the sunshine laws, sicko-liberal mentallity…and firm PC restrictions (if you care that is)…not much can be said.
