Tina Valdez, Mother Indicted for Selling her 15 Year Old Daughter for $3000, WTF … Now Another Mother Accused of Mutilating Baby

What on earth is wrong with some people? Tina Valdez will never be confused for being mother of the year that is for certain. Tina Valdez was indicted on charges that she sold her 15 year old daughter to 35 year old Jason Carlile for $3000. Jason Carlile then took the teen to Mexico. Tina Valdez told police that her daughter ran away and even went so far as giving police a runaway note.

But investigators say Valdez admitted last month that she sold the girl to 35 year old Jason Carlile who took her to Mexico. Carlile was already facing charges of indecency with a child and possession of child pornography. He was also indicted Monday.

Valdez and Carlile are being held on $150,000 bond each. The girl is back in Texas and has been placed in foster care. (Fox)

Valdez and the man who allegedly bought her daughter, 35-year-old Jason Carlile, were indicted Monday on charges of purchase or sale of a child, a third-degree felony, said Jack McGaughey, the district attorney for Clay, Archer and Montague counties. (The Denver Channel)

Texas Mom Sells Her Own Daughter

Police say Valdez sold her daughter for $3,000 because she needed the money.

“You don’t sell your own children. Especially, you know, a 15-year-old girl shouldn’t be exposed to something like that. She’s way too young to be exposed to anything that she probably went through,” says Archer County Sheriff Ed Daniels.

US Marshalls tracked the girl down in Mexico, and she turned herself over to the US Consulate on April 23rd.

Carlile and Valdez are both in jail, and the girl is now in the care of a foster family in Wichita Falls. (11 Alive)

UPDATE: Katherine Nadel Accused of Mutilating her 3 month old Baby Boy.

What on earth is going on in Texas lately? Nadel first told police that her baby son’s genitals were tore off by the family dog. Now we learn that she has been arrested and accused of doing it herself with a sharp instrument.

Katherine Nadal, 25, was led away in handcuffs while awaiting a court hearing on custody of the 3-month-old boy, Holden Gothia. She was charged with injury to a child and held on $100,000 bail.

Child-welfare authorities said she told social workers she woke up from a nap March 13 to find that her small dachshund had attacked her son.

But a veterinarian and a doctor agreed the dog did not cause the injuries, because there was no blood or human tissue on the animal or in its mouth, police said. (AP)

Squirrels Carrying The Plague in Denver

If you live in Denver, stay away from squirrels as they may be carrying an outbreak of the plague. While there is not a big concern for it spreading into the human population of the city, the opportunity for the occasional occurrance is there. Every year, approximately 18 people die each year in the United States from the plague.

Fifteen squirrels and one rabbit have tested positive for the plague, which is typically transmitted by flea bites, The Denver Post reported. Most of the animals were from the Denver City Park area.

Denver has not had an outbreak of the plague since 1968.

The state Health Department set up a hotline for people to call about dead squirrels, and the officials in Boulder closed a park to test a prairie dog town, the Post reported.

“We are still trying to determine how widespread it is,” state epidemiologist John Pape told the Post. “I wouldn’t apply the term ‘outbreak’ to this,” he told the newspaper. “We normally see this kind of rodent die-off where plague is occurring, and it just happens to be occurring in Denver this year.” The Post said Colorado is one of a handful of states where the plague bacterium, which killed 25 million Europeans in the Middle Ages, occurs. via UPI

Just when you thought you had heard enough coming from the mouth of Joran Van der Sloot, a long comes his recent book to further shed light on just what type of individual we are really dealing with.

With such chapter in his book as the following, we begin to understand just what type of person we have been witnessing these many months. It is rather interesting that Joran could devote such back ground on Natalee Holloway in his book from a person who admits . “he didn’t even know her name”.

Doesn’t the following line sound familiar out of the mouth of Joran Van der Sloot? It is all a premeditated game to target American female tourists.

- the best way to make a girl trust you (and not think you are a local beach bum) is to tell them you are a tourist also (JVDS)

- dutch boys hang around the bar drinking beer, they aren’t up to “smooth talking” the girls. On Aruba there are a lot of hot tourist girls ready for a 1 night stand or holiday romance. If a girl doesn’t take to you you will realize this pretty soon and move on. It is a lot easier than in the Netherlands.

- American girls are the loosest/wildest of the lot, Joran thinks it is due to the fact that you can buy a drink here when you are under 21 (American drinking age). Joran says in Aruba you can order a drink if you barely are taller than the bar itself

- tourists strip on the bar and join drinking shows. While girls squat, boys hold bottles of beer in front of their privates and girls drink from it. Everybody loves those things.
