Fred Thompson Tells Michael Moore How It Is
If Fred Thompson decides to run, he is going to have a big fan down here in Georgia. Michael Moore challenged Thompson to a debate over his trip to Cuba to bash Bush on medical issues. Thompson gives his reply via video.
God bless him, it is like talking to an unruly 6 year old.
11 Yr Old Girl Fights Off Attacker and Neighbors Catch Him
This is how a neighborhood should react when a predator attacks. I am very proud of the young girl and her Brooklyn neighbors for reacting and catching this child predator.
Quick-thinking Xochil Garcia, a sixth grader, said she already knew what she would do in case someone ever tried to attack her. “I think of a plan, like, if anybody kidnaps me, kick them or scratch them — I’m growing my nails out,” Xochil said Monday.
But she didn’t think kicking or scratching would help when the man grabbed her in her apartment lobby and seemed to be trying to drag her upstairs, she said. “He grabbed my mouth and told me to not scream,” Xochil said. “I thought he was going to take me up to the roof and rape me or something.”
The 4’5″ girl wrestled out of her attacker’s arms, and was able to draw the attention of residents by crying and screaming. They chased down the man and called police.
Police arrested 6’2″ Bernard Mutterperl, 19, and charged him with unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child and burglary. He was arraigned Monday night and bail set at $25,000 cash or $75,000 bond. A phone number was not listed for Mutterperl, of Brooklyn, and it was not immediately clear if he had an attorney. Xochil’s neighbor, Timothy Isaac, 25, who said he was among a group of residents who caught Mutterperl and held him until police arrived, said the man protested his innocence to them. via wcbstv.com
NBC to Donald Trump … “You’re Fired” … Unless we Have no Other Programming
Is NBC finally going to tell Donald Trump what he has said to so many others … You’re Fired! It appears that “The Apprentice” has finally run its course.
The future of his NBC series “The Apprentice” was cast into extreme doubt on Monday by the network’s announcement of a 2007-08 programming lineup that made no mention of Trump or the corporate-themed reality show he hosts.
Such an omission, coming at the outset of the networks’ annual “upfront” advertising market, would normally spell doom for a low-rated show like “The Apprentice.” But NBC executives refused to absolutely rule out an 11th-hour reprieve for Trump’s show.
The question was posed as to whether the ”Apprentice” was now effectively dead, NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly insisted, “Not yet.” To the contrary, The Apprentice has been a mere shell of its original show for years. Over commercialism and nepotism had taken over what was initially an intriguing concept.
But the series has lost nearly two-thirds of its audience since its first and most successful run in the spring of 2004.
The problem with the show is obvious. It went from and interesting premise with actual business lessons that could be learned of the dog eat dog world of corporate America in to an infomercial and ego boost for Trump and his family. After the first two year the show was no longer about the potential Trump apprentice wannabes and only about Donald Trump. Thus the ratings went in a crashing downward spiral. We shouldn’t have to tell Mark Burnett this but then again maybe we do. Any attempt to have a “reality” TV show be successful, the contestants need to be engaging and the story, not the host.
