late snow in Alberta does not make the case for global warming go away/less valid.

Freak accidents of nature do not take away the facts that prove the world is slowly getting warmer and warmer.

      __________

SM: They are not freak accidents … April, May snow storms occur all the time.

and it’s not about warming, it’s about climate extremes. is snow in alberta the norm for may?? it proves the point. time to swot up on what global warming actually is about.

    3. Hmmm on May 30th, 2007 2:14 pm

And your point is….You don’t like the messenger so there’s no such thing as global warming???

I wonder if Al snow skies to! Maybe he will have on his snow clothes.

global warming is for real guys. prepare for it !

    6. katablog on May 30th, 2007 6:04 pm

LOL super dave! So you’ve sucked in. Did you get the part about the fact that IF the globe is actually warming (and do remember 30 years ago scientists were preaching that it was cooling) the warming is NOT due to people’s actions. Also remember that Mars is showing signs of “warming” – no people there!

    7. pdh3 on May 30th, 2007 7:12 pm

Good Grief. Global warming is not about a late spring snow shower. If more people would educate themselves on what Global warming actually means, and became knowledgeable about the crisis we are going to face, then maybe the world could start making some meaningful changes. By making scientific findings into a political issue, the process of recognition, and action, is being thwarted. We are fast approaching the point of no return.

Katablog: I was beginning to think I was the only one who remembered the cry of ‘ice age’ years back. My question is this; if we have only been keeping weather records for a little over 100 years now, how can we be so certain that we are about to just up and boil away? Last year, the hurricane forecasters were way off on how many hurricans we were to experience. I feel we should conserve and be more green. We only have this one planet. I don’t believe anything Mr Gore spews – he is not a scientist. We need more research. I LOVE science so, BRING ON THE RESEARCH!

Oh come on Dana, you know what the Global warming crowd is going to say.

When its warm … thats global warming.

When it snows, thats global warming too.

When it hails and there are tornado’s and hurricanes … guess what … global warming.

Locust … you guessed it, global warming.

What ever happened to the coming Ice age that i was scared with by the media in the 70′s???

Oh thats right … the ice age was a result of global warming as well.

Scared Monkeys, I have noticed that where I live it is really hot during the day, but then it still cools down at night. If the globe was getting warmer and warmer, then you would think it would be warmer in the night right?

Maybe you could make a post exposing this juicy little tidbit of information. See what the “global warmies” say to counter that eh?

hey – why are you deleting my posts? I’m on your side.

it can still be seen as an example though. since the doomsday scenario is that in the end as temperatures on earth keep rising, polar ice caps, such as the north pole keep melting, meaning freshwater is dumped in the ocean. This forms a barrier that prevents the warm tropical currents from getting to the north via the gulfstream. Without the gulfstream channeling warmth from the tropics to the north, the earth will indeed freeze up as temperatures suddenly drop and drop and it becomes to cold to sustain human life forms.

global warming is going to make europe/canada wetter and colder while dry/desert locations such as morocco, sudan etc are going to get dryer and dryer. before we get to that ice age too many freak nature accidents are going to happen, so in the end it’s all freakish in nature lol.

    13. amazed on June 4th, 2007 1:29 am

Oh .. a moderation folder. Thats fine. I thought you were deleting them so no one can read them.

But I guess as long as you are just putting them in a moderation folder where no one can read them then thats different.

Because one is deleted from public viewing where the other is just “moved” from public viewing.

So I’m totally fine with that.

What else is in the moderation folder?
