Bonaire’s Tourism Was Up 54% in 2006 … What Say you Aruba?

It would appear from reports that near by Bonaire’s tourism is growing in leaps and Bonairebounds as compared to Aruba. The tourism numbers are up in the amount of tourists to the island as well as those from cruise ships. Increases in tourism of 54% hardly seem to be what Aruba has been experiencing since the disappearance of Natalee Holloway almost 2 years ago. At this rate Aruba would be excited if they had a 5.4% increase. However, as everyone knows and states except Aruba these type of positive tourism numbers will not occur until there is “Justice for Natalee”.

In 2006, the number of tourists that visited Bonaire grew with 54.3 percent to 61.844; the number of tourists that visited the island in 2005 was 40.777.

Compared to 2005, fewer cruise ships called in at the port of Kralendijk in 2006: 89 versus 78, a drop with 12.4 percent, which means that bigger cruise ships with more passengers on board are visiting Bonaire .

Amigoe, May 28, 2007: Cruise tourism grows with 54 percent

KRALENDIJK – The tourism of Bonaire enters upon a new period with a planned growth for the next three years.   According to Tourism Corporation Bonaire ( TCB ), the island must grow to 80.000 tourists per year till 2009.

The months with more cruise tourists in 2006 were February with 11.598, November with 12.658 and December with 14.101.   The total number of visitors in 2006 that stayed longer than 1 day grew with 22.2 percent.   This number will continue to grow with the increase of seat capacity since late last year from the Netherlands with ArkeFly, as well as from the United States with Continental Airlines from Newark .

The number of hotel rooms will increase this year, and with that also the seat capacity.   This can result in more tourists visiting the island per year, than is the case now, namely 60.000.

      Check his rosary.
It is very similar to the one found by Dave that was on a cross on the beach.
I’m sure there are hundreds available in the stores on Aruba, but this one looks so similar.
By the way, this is Andreas, a friend of Michael Dompig, who is a friend of Geoff van Cromvoirt and Michael is also a cousin to the two Kalpoe suspects. Geoff and Michael pose as police officers to get girls.
Could this be the AB that was arrested with Geoff and released after 8 hours.
Could this be the AB that was with Geoff when he grabbed Natalee at C and C’s?
Could this be the AB that Dave saw with Michael as they tried to pick up girls at the Holiday Inn?
Is the game to try and get tourists in bed?
Could this be the game that went bad?
Is the game to bring blond females tourists to the elders for their pleasure?
Joran: “Don’t blame the player, blame the game”.
Quote from Dave’s book page 151.
I still say the Michael has been flying under the radar since his father Gerald Dompig changed his opinions about the case after Geoff was arrested.

Hey Gab:You seem to be good at coming up with excuses; want to try and explain??????

      Jan Van der Straaten
(How can I do this to my best friend’s son?)

In response to Kerfuffles, TJ Ward last evening explained that under Aruban law, if you leave an establishment intoxicated with someone and that someone later ends up missing, you can be charged with kidnapping. Accordingly, Joran van der Sloot is most likely being held in custody under that legal condition, since he was, admittedly, the last person to be with Natalee Holloway before she disappeared.

Attorney Gerrad Spong told Dutch television that Wever was arrested for “assisting in the murder, battery and kidnapping of Natalee Holloway.” Wever, a friend of Joran van der Sloot, denied ever seeing Natalee at the casino and said he did not know her.

Rep: Any hope for a positive outcome?
Van der Straaten: You always have to be hopeful, but I don’t believe anymore that we will find Natalee alive.
      Rep: Why not?
Vander Straaten: Because I know the details of the investigation and you don’t.

Van Cromvoirt’s family runs the security company, according to Tacopina. The company provides security for the Aruban government and private companies, including the Holiday Inn, where Holloway was staying, he said. The company installed the security camera and patrols the beach. Van Cromvoirt was part of the team that patrolled the Holiday Inn’s beach in the early hours of the morning, according to Tacopina.
When he went to the police station, he was detained immediately. The accusations were rape and murder.

Why didn’t the ALE go for the rape conviction? Even if, the ALE could have easily gone from rape to murder conviction?

      Alright Bonaire….

Looks like Van Der Stratten is keeping crime down there and tourists are coming!

Will be short lived — as I am sure the crimes are happening, its just that Van Der Stratten is using the same method he used in Aruba to report crime statistics (just make like crime doesn’t happen!).

My guess is that a tourist will be lured to this island, and Van Der Stratten will have to execute the same cover-up strategy he and Paulus worked out on Aruba…..

This would leave Curacao as the only ABC island left (unless, of course you take into account the case of Amy Bradley).

Stay away from all of these islands. The same masters run them.

The front page article is a bit mis-leading. For one thing, it is only refering to tourists that arrive as passengers on cruise ships. In that department, Bonaire got barely over 61,000 total guests in 2006. Yes, that represents an increase of 54% (a seemingly astronomical increase) but the fact is that Bonaire saw the number of cruise ship visitors increase by a real-number total of approximately 21,000 in 2006. In 2006, Aruba only enjoyed a 7% increase in the number of guests arriving via cruise ship but the total number of cruise passengers to arrive on Aruba in 2006 was nearly 600,000 and the increase in cruise ship visitors over 2005 was on the order of 38,000.

So, with all due props for Bonaire, Aruba’s doing just fine in the cruise ship department, thank you.

      per Dave’s book.. page 185..

While still on my October trip to Aruba, Art accompanied me to see Beth’s attorney, Helen Lejuez.. She informed us that Jan van der Stratten had been responsible for a previous cover-up on the island. She also said she felt her cell phone was being monitored. I let her know that I had been
feeling the same way. I wondered what haad happened to the three girls who came forward claiming that Joran raped them. Helen said they had all dropped their cases. She knew one of them, so she called the girl to find out why. The girl was going to come in to talk to Art the next day and tell him why she did not go forward with her case, but she cancelled her appointment. We later learned that it was after she talked to Dennis Jacobs that she decided to drop her case.

Dave’s book page 21. Oduber was in Fla. when Natalee went missing.

As soon as he(Oduber) heard about Natalee, he immediately called for Stratten to be removed from the case and have the FBI brought, apparently he did not feel that this was the type of investigation that he wanted to see in Straten’s hands. It goes on to say that the prime minister according to Dutch rule, has no power to remove Stratten from the case…

The sickening part followed,. Oduber met with the family and expressed sympathy but then…

per Dave page 22.. But then he (Oduber) proceeded to tell them how many hotels he had built, and how many other ongoiong projects he had. In fact he said he had $90 million project in the works. He continued rambling and Natalee’s family’s mood quickly changed, because they didn’t want to hear his self adulation.

page 28,, when police arrived to arrest Paulus, Anita called Straten..it was reported Paulus refused to get in the police car and instead drove himself to the police station and had a police escort. Try that in the USA!

Dave’s book page 107 .. There were rumors that Stratten is Joran’s godfather and at best he was a good friend of Paulus’s.. Stratten’s contract expired right after Natalee’s disappearance.there were rumors he wanted to stay on the case, but wasn’t allowed. Dave says however in Sept. 2005 when he was there Stratten was in the police station with Dennis Jacobs. next page it goes on to say how it is rumoured that Dompig is related to the Kalpoes. Michael Dompig told Beth, that the Kalpoe brothers were his cousins.

Dompig was the one who originally claimed on of the 3 confessed, then retracted the statement.

page 182 dave’s book.. Dave talked to Dompig about his concerns about Jacobs, but Dompig was supportive of him. Next day, Dave goes to the police station to turn his police statement that he had given Dennis Jacobs. He gave Dave a copy to go over with his attorney. Dave said it was only a page and a half long and had little to do with what he actually the discussed most with Paulus at the prison.
Instead the paper was about a $500 gift to Natalee, one about Beth being related to Hitler, and a statement Paulus had made pointing the finger at MB students that needed to be investigated. He goes on to say he spent a lot of time with Jacobs..but most of his interview wasn’t even in the statement. He said when he went to turn it in and discuss it with Jacobs… He was told Jacobs was in with Stratten, he said he went back again and Charles Croes was sitting with Jacobs.

I can’t imagine a group of cops like this investigating a murder. Conflicts, Conflicts.

And let’s don’t forget Janssen taking that 2 week vacation right before time for Joran to be released from prison. The biggest murder/missing investigation to hit the island and the lead prosecutor goes on vacation.

This is an old article I had saved about Stratten.

On 12-22 ARUBAN news source “Bon Dia” reported:

According to veteran policeman he will restructure the Bonaire force

Jan van der Straten will serve as High commissioner for 6 to 12 months

He has an agreement with the Bonaire police union so he doesn’t understand the conflict

ORANJESTAD – As long as the country decision is not signed and in his hands, Jan vd Straten does not plan to start his new job in Bonaire as High commissioner of the island of flamingos. Jan vd Straten said this to Bon Dia Aruba yesterday in an exclusive interview.

He confirmed the Bon Dia Aruba news that he will be the next chief of police of Bonaire and said that while he accepted this job, Aruba remains his home.

      REQUEST FOR VD STRATEN

It was 2 to 3 years ago that the Antilles made the first attempt to seek vd Straten to work in Bonaire. “But my contract (in Aruba) was to end in August 15, 2005, so there wasn’t a possibility to go”, vd Straten said to this publication. He will procure to finalize this re-organization in Aruba first. After the invitation from the current Minister of Justice of the Antilles (sic), David Dick, he accepted the position. It was after two months passed that he spoke to his colleague and current Bonaire police chief Gerold Daantje.

      WORKING TOGETHER

Here, they spoke about how they’re going to work together to see how vd Straten can work in Bonaire to prepare the police force in a new way and establish a relationship with Holland. While Daantje shared his opinion about the functioning in Bonaire, he expressed his preference to continue to study IT via a study task of the government of the US. As such, he came to an agreement with Minister Dick to leave Bonaire.

      COUNTRY DECIDES

Once the country decision is made and in vd Straten’s hands, in what relates to his new function, he has to write a letter to Holland to postpone the payment of his pension for 6 to 12 months, which is the duration of his contract with Bonaire. The reason is that during this time, vd Straten will prepare the position for another person who has to assume the role as commissioner. The intention is to work on some project that will procure more security for the people of Bonaire, something that vd Straten considers an assured challenge.

      UPSET IN THE FORCE

The fact that there is mention of an upset among members of the Bonaire police force with the arrival of vd Straten, is no very comprehensible for the former police commissioner of Aruba. This is because, according to the veteran policeman, he had a good understanding with the Bonaire police union. “It has always been my opinion that you have to care about these things that are very regulated for my colleagues. Then vd Straten will come”, the former commissioner continues to say. “That is an agreement with the union that they said to me 2 months ago. They assured me that they didn’t have a problem with anything”, vd Straten continued to say, reiterating that these issues have to be solved. “Van der Straten will not go work in a place where a colleague is already sitting as police chief”, vd Straten said.

      STARTING DATE

The initial date mentioned for the police veteran to start his new position in Bonaire, according to Minister David Dick, is the 1st of January, 2006. But in practice, it seems that this will be a little later. “This is the main point. But everything has to be settled” vd Straten continued to say. He will not base it on a verbal agreement nor on a written one, but on a country decision.

“It is on a letter from the Minister that they will be in full agreement, but for me it has to be a country agreement to delay my pension”, vd Straten said. About the question that if he is asked to extend his permanency in Bonaire after a year, he categorically said no. “I am willing to work between 6 and 12 months in Bonaire. However, do not forget that I am retired. And my heart is in Aruba. I like working in Bonaire, but until now I live very well in Aruba” vd Straten finally said.

    22. Richard on May 29th, 2007 8:09 pm

Well, what a diplomatic comment! Sure, I’ll work in Bonaire … you bozos can’t possibly do without me … but my heart is in Aruba!

I think van der Straaten and Aruba well deserve each other.

As Othello said to Iago, “I am bound to you for ever.”

      ===========================================================

I think you over simplify things here, how should they have gotten a rape conviction?

    24. hammer on May 29th, 2007 9:23 pm

HOW ABOUT A PERJURY CONVICTION, RAMM?

      So no “rape” — huh?

How about the obvious perjurious statements, authorized and signed by each of the Kalpoe brothers.

Or is it OK under Dutch Law to submit, under advice of counsel, INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY as “witnesses”? You know, the HI drop-off lie…where the “boys” submitted and ratified intentionally false testimony which led to the arrest and incarceration of two innocent men? You know, that example of perjury.

      That’s OK?

How about CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT PERJURY? Quite obvious after reading each of the Kalpoe’s early PV’s, as well as the goon’s own PV where he basically lays out the very plan and conspiracy itself.

Shall we all forget about the obvious add on charges which follow many perjury charges: contempt of court, obstruction of justice?

      No comment, huh?

      That’s what I thought.

      .

    25. hammer on May 29th, 2007 10:03 pm

      OR, SUBJORNING PERJURY?

You know, the Steve Croes story, who came forward to corroborate Deepak Kalpoe’s INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY with additional perjurious statements? Or the CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT PERJURY which led Kalpoe and Croes to bring the falsehoods forward (even after the need for the perjury had expired)?

That’s all “OK” under Dutch and Aruban law? Right?

It’s OK to commit perjury under Dutch law — it’s “OK”. Even when the initial perjury leads to the arrest and incarceration of innocent men under murder charges…it’s OK.

It’s OK to SUBJORN PERJURY from an accomplice who is complicit in a perjurious conspiracy, and for that individual — Steve Croes — to submit more INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY in a murder case.

It’s all “OK”. No problem. Just a misunderstanding.

Right, Ramm. It’s a good thing for joran and his criminally complicit father that it wasn’t my daughter who “was droppped off with a walkie talkie carrying security guard in front of the Holiday Inn on Aruba on May 30, 2005 at 2:00 in the morning.”

Where are the PERJURY CHARGES, Ramm?

      .

    26. Rammstein on May 29th, 2007 10:07 pm

I am sorry Hammer, but perjury is the term for lying as a witness in court.

Joran and the 2 Kalpoes did not give testimony under oath during a trial as witnesses and thus cannot be guilty of the crime of perjury.

It is however illegal to lie as a witness to the police, but as soon as a witness goes from witness to suspect, all his statements are suspect statements and as a suspect it is not illegal to lie to the police and that means that the Kalpoes and Joran can also not be prosecuted for that.

And the same goes of course for conspiracy to commit perjury, obstruction etc.

And contempt of court? I am sorry but that is something entirely different, at least it is in the dutch legal system. Refusing to testify could be interpreted as contempt of court or insulting the judge, lying as a suspect is never contempt of court.

    27. Rammstein on May 29th, 2007 10:16 pm

Well, Croes could be charged with lying as a witness but that would not lead to any big punishment in this case because he quickly told the truth and never testified in court, under oath to what he said.

And as said, you cannot charge them with perjury or what ever you put in front or behind it like for example SUBJOURNING.

There was no perjury on the part of the Kalpoes or Joran.

Also, there is nothing in the known testimonies as witnesses of Joran, Deepak and Satish that could account for the arrest of a security guard. They did not imply this man did anything illegal or did anything to Natalee. The arrest of those 2 security guards is to be blamed squarely on the ALE because they were looking for scapegoats and they found them in the 2 innocent guards.

Also, this is not a murder case, it is a missing persons case under suspicious conditions. I might believe she was murdered, as do the police and everyone else with some intellect, but that is not the same a legally definition of what a murder case is.

AND THERE ARE NO PERJURY CHARGES, BECAUSE THERE NEVER WAS ANY PERJURY!!!!!

    28. windy city on May 29th, 2007 10:20 pm

Where are the victims rights in all of this Ramm? I know you care about Natalee, but come on. Your system leans way too much in the favor of the suspects and not the victims. It is very sad.

Ramm, I base my opinion on the fact that after reading some of your translations of the sporter’s book, I am baffled that he was set free with all the blatent lies. Lies that to this day have not been dispelled. It is truly sickening.

    30. Maggie on May 29th, 2007 10:31 pm

      ==============================================================

there is nothing more difficult than that, but still, most systems do not allow the imprisonment of 116 days for people that might be totally innocent just because there is a reasonable suspicion without real evidence.

    32. Richard on May 29th, 2007 10:46 pm

And where is the line drawn between witness and suspect?

I’m losing patience with the crap we’re being given.

It’s plain that Aruba makes up its rules as it goes along … and then contradicts them the next day. Wipe off the slate and begin anew.

The very term “law” is an abomination when used in relevance to this case. Face it: there is none on Aruba.

    33. Richard on May 29th, 2007 10:49 pm

It’s stated best in King Lear:

      “A dog’s obeyed in office.”

      “The laws are mine, not thine;
      Who can arraign me for’t?”

The powers that be on Aruba make up their own law as they go along. As either Goneril or Regan (I forget which) says in the last quote above (essentially):

I run the law. It’s my law. Who has the power to overrule me?

    34. Richard on May 29th, 2007 10:51 pm

Beth Twitty proved to the Aruban police, no more than three days after Natalee disappeared, that the story of the three stooges about dropping Natalee off at the Holiday Inn was a lie. A blatant, proven lie. Cameras did not show her being dropped off.

So what did they do? You guessed it … nothing.

Tell me about the law. Aruba writes its own law as it goes along.

    35. Rammstein on May 29th, 2007 11:00 pm

Aruba makes up it’s own investigative rules and fact perhaps (or should I say almost certainly), but the criminal law is not made by Aruba, they cannot pick and choose there.

And as said, a witness statement of a suspect is also a suspects statement.

But it still goes back to the same question I asked of Miss-Underestimated:

how should they have gotten a rape conviction? Because it is impossible to convict a person on solely their own testimony/statement/confession. There has to be additional evidence.

    36. hammer on May 30th, 2007 12:40 am

      TURNSPEAK

Ramm, you are wrong. Simply wrong. It is a CRIME to submit INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY as a WITNESS during a capital crime investigation.

The CRIME, completely open for full prosecutorial weight is PERJURY.

And, if you’d like to parse the meaning of the CRIMNALLY CULPABLE Kalpoe brothers’ PERJURY, then let us simply put them on trial, whereby their PERJURY can be manifestly proven, and the full weight of ARUBAN JUSTICE can be brought to bear on these criminals.

I am sorry Ramm, you are simply wrong — and you clearly know little of the law and how it can be used to extract the TRUTH.

Under Trial conditions ONLY? You are a tyro, aren’t you?

HAUL THEM IN, RAMM — INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY COUNTS ON A WITNESS STATEMENT, SAME AS IN A COURTROOM. AND YOU KNOW IT.

The Kalpoe’s are dirtbag criminals; Beth Holloway was actually CORRECT in her accurate characteriztion of these cretins before she was — amazingly — forced to apologize in public for calling the Kalpoe brothers what they actually are: CRIMINALS.

You want a TRIAL? Then put them on trial and get the answers we all know will be forthcoming.

The Kalpoe brothers are criminals: they both submitted INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY as WITNESSES in a murder investigation. They CONSPIRED TO COMMIT PERJURY with prime suspect sloot. They SUBJORNED PERJURY by enlisting Steve Croes to corroborate their lies. They OBSTRUCTED JUSTICE. They demonstrated by their actions and testimony CONTEMPT OF COURT.

Are there any laws on Aruba which cannot be broken?

Or is Natalee Holloway’s case, in some way, an exception to the righteous laws of civilized nations?

      You’re sorry, Ramm? No.

You are guilty — guilty of aiding criminality and FAILURE TO PERFORM.

#35 “And as said, a witness statement of a suspect is also a suspects statement.”

      Huh?

Ramm, you are beginning to sound alot like the conflicted on-air Aruban personality, Arlene Schippers, who couldn’t give a straight answer to any direct question. Of course, after considerable scrutiny, it was learned that her own cousin (the make-up wearing, third-rate tennis playing, failed croupier-ing, male model wannabe, self admitted gay boy, whose parents played the Nazi card TWICE via semi-socialist attorney Gerard Spong), Guido Wever was actually a SUSPECT in the disappearance of Natyalee Holloway and THE ONLY SUSPECT charged with PHYSICAL ASSAULT by the good officies of the vaunted Aruban Judiciary. You remember: “HEAVY BATTERY”.

How sweet of the gay male model.

SO let me get this straight: a witness statement is also a suspect statement, especially when the suspect is an actual suspect and not a witness. Because in Aruba, all witnesses are suspects, especially during murder investigations.

      Do I have that right?

      .

This incessant chatter about the Dutch law and its provisions is increasingly distant from reality.

I have no more patience with it.

      1) No Hammer, it is you who is not getting it. You wrote:

Ramm, you are wrong. Simply wrong. It is a CRIME to submit INTENTIONALLY FALSE TESTIMONY as a WITNESS during a capital crime investigation.
      ============================================================
Yes, there is a provision in Dutch law for that but that as said only applies to people who remain witnesses and who are not investigated as suspects. Almost all suspects first are heard as witnesses and all of their testimonies, even the first one they did as a witness (before the police had decided whether or not they are suspects or whether a crime has taken place) are suspect statements and a suspect cannot be prosecuted for intentionally false testimony as a witness because they are not witnesses, they are suspects.

      2) Hammer wrote:

And, if you’d like to parse the meaning of the CRIMNALLY CULPABLE Kalpoe brothers’ PERJURY, then let us simply put them on trial, whereby their PERJURY can be manifestly proven, and the full weight of ARUBAN JUSTICE can be brought to bear on these criminals.

I am sorry Ramm, you are simply wrong – and you clearly know little of the law and how it can be used to extract the TRUTH.

Under Trial conditions ONLY? You are a tyro, aren’t you?
      ===========================================================
Yes, under trial conditions, is it that hard to understand?

Dutch law under article 207 of the criminal code book says that perjury is only punishable if it is done during a time when a witness is under oath. There are just a few instances in our legal system that force witnesses to make a statement under oath and that almost always is in a court of law. Police officers do not take police statements under oath, never. Police officers do not have the legal rights to put a person under oath.

Also, you can only perjure yourself as a witness. You can speak to the court as a suspect but the only punishment for lying to the judge then is being convicted because the judge does not believe you, not for the lie itself. You cannot be forced as a suspect to speak under oath because that would void the stipulation in our law that a suspect may not be forced to bear witness against himself.

      Aruba and the Dutch,

      YOU ARE SO PREDICTABLE!

Today marks the two year mark on J2K. Under a homicide investigation, charges can still be brought after the two years.

But, this is the great part under Dutch Law – Aruban style….for crimes of kidnapping, rape, heavy battery, etc. it appears that the two year time limit does apply.

So, as of today…where Aruba had the chance to put J2K and Paulus away for 7 years, it appears that this opportunity will be missed.

Now….we must wait a few weeks before we hear…drum roll…”There is not enough evidence to charge the predators with murder”. Predators have cleared the two year hurdle for their lesser crimes. Predators are set completely free from the homicide charges.

ARUBA AND THE DUTCH….you are so pathetic. Each step of your cover-up can be predicted weeks before it happens.

Murderers have more rights in aruba than anyone, they are above the law. There are no laws in aruba. Want to kidnap, murder, steal, aruba is the place for you. Criminals welcome to aruba where you are free to do as you please. aruba, home of joran, paulass, deepak and satish, the killers of Natalle Holloway. They have no worries, they are free to do it all over again with anybody they want. Remember tourist you mean nothing to the outlaws in aruba. Tourist you are at danger in aruba.

I didn’t get to hear the interview. I caught the very end. Fox’s early show had on JQK. Talking about the Holloway case. They said they were gonna have Taco Joe on later. Didn’t see that either. Had to leave for work

    46. JusticeforNatalee on May 30th, 2007 11:17 am

      Meee,

      Recap courtesy Angelalala of BFN:

      Fox News

John Q. Kelly was on for a fairly short interview. I can’t remember verbatim exactly what he said so please don’t slam me if I get it wrong. They asked him about the two-year limit. He said that the date was approaching. (Which as we know from Jossy last night on Dana’s radio show… that date has now been EXTENDED INDEFINITELY.) So, it was disappointing that John Q… didn’t seem as “up” on that point. They asked him if he thought this was just a “for show” before closing the case. I believe he said the case would not close but he seemed to be saying they do need to do what they can to either clear the suspects or find sufficient evidence to charge them. He mentioned it they don’t want to bring charges without sufficient evidence because if there wasn’t a conviction they could not retry them in the future due to double-jeopardy protections. (He didn’t say it but I sort of wonder if he was saying he thinks they ARE planning on pressing charges… and are right now trying to come up with the absolute most evidence possible against them. But that was just my opinion… not something he said at all.) Overall… John Q… didn’t sound as “optimistic” as he has in his last couple of interviews but he is fairly “calm, even-handed” so it is hard to read him.

They said “the attorney from the *other side* would be on later this morning. They did not give a time but said it was “upcoming” so I suppose it will be within the next hour. I don’t know who the attorney will be… Joe T? or the one from Aruba?

    47. Richard on May 30th, 2007 11:27 am

Actually, don’t all the suspects have their own lawyers now?
Maybe the two Kalpoes share one, but that’s different from the van der Scum factotum.

I look forward to the day when Paulus and Joran are represented separately.

    48. Richard on May 30th, 2007 11:31 am

Under Dutch law, it appears, witnesses can lie to police with impunity, unless they get hauled into court, at which point (presumably) they can sweetly change their tune without penalty.

One wonders what the use is of interrogating witnesses at all. However, the whole system seems to make no sense.

One also wonders where the line breaks down between witness and suspect. However, one wonders a lot of things about this system … and that’s before it morphs into justice Aruba style, where everything is up for grabs day by day.

    49. Meee on May 30th, 2007 11:55 am

Thank you JFN. Also, I’m pretty sure they said Tacopina would be on.

I do declare HAMMER – #24, #25 and #36 that if integrity and honor had feet, surely they would stand upon your words.

You bear Natalee’s truth, Hammer, with painstaking and heartfelt respect to HONORING her truth.

You echo a profound call for courage, in the hearts of men and women who lost sight of what justice is all about, particularly when it comes to preserving the integrity of justice over human rights violations inflicted upon a defenselss child, named Natalee Holloway.

A great man once cried out for men and women to act with courage in the great search for the public’s right to know – THE TRUTH, and in this case, perhaps his words might speak to the public’s outcry that NATALEE’S TRUTH be told.

You, Hammer, are a great crusader of this child’s voice and of her truth, and of the public’s right to know her truth.

And those who remain complicit in burying the facts of her truth, are indeed accomplices, co-conspirators in a contemptuous vicious plot to circumvent a defenseless little girls’ voice, in order to propel their rants of obfuscation, while crushing every attempt to draw light upon the vicious cruelty and suffering inflicted and sanctioned upon this beautiful child named Natalee and her courageous family.

It seems that the most savage appetites in this shrill and dehumanized darkness have not been fully satisfied, as the hands of murdererous individuals whose agenda is to twist and obfuscate this child’s truth, are only matched by their inhumane treatment of this child’s desecrated body, and their savage appetites to deny her loving family any measure of human decency, empathy and compassion.

But your words, Hammer fall upon these Monkey pages with an outcry that demands: CONSCIENCE, INTEGRITY, JUSTICE!

Aruba now stands before the world, as do the Dutch investigators who continue to review what the world knew on May 31, 2005.

The actions of these Dutch investigators and of Aruba’s law enforcement and judicial officials will be measured by their willingness to give voice to Natalee Holloway’s truth, as will their deeds be measured by any obfuscation of her right to justice and her family’s right to know her truth.

Those who entertain the notion that TRUTH and HONOR, INTEGRITY and JUSTICE can be twisted up into a vile promotion of vulgarities designed to spin away from tennets that define the core of what it means to be human, the core of what we embrace as a civilized society – are indeed, the very monsters they shall proceed to create.

It takes courage to take a stand against the moral depravity that was inflicted upon Natalee Holloway and her family.

It takes courage to stand against the ravenous cruelty inflicted upon Natalee’s family, that seems to have no depths in its targetted pursuit: to shatter the hearts and spirit of Natalee’s loving mother and father, and their families.

You, Hammer model great courage, as there is no splicing of this child’s truth, her good honorable name, nor of the clarity with which this child’s voice cries out for JUSTICE as you hammer away for her right to be set free, and her right for her truths to be spoken!

You, Hammer have challeneged all of us to bear witness to Natalee Holloway’s TRUTHS!

AND WITNESSES WE SHALL BECOME: TO HER TRUTH, HER RIGHT TO JUSTICE, HER FAMILY’S RIGHT TO HAVE THEIR BELOVED CHILD RETURNED TO THEM!

“No one man can terrorize a whole nation unless we are all his accomplices.”

WE WILL NOT BECOME YOUR ACCOMPLICES, ARUBA,IN THE GANG RAPE, KIDNAPPING AND MURDER OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY, THE DESCECRATION OF THIS PRECIOUS CHILD’S BODY, THE DEPRAVED INDIFFERENCD INFLICTED UPON HER GRIEVING AND SUFFERING FAMILY, AND THE MORAL DEPRAVITY AND CRUELTY THAT WAS SANCTIONED AND ALLOWED TO CONTINUE AS EXECUTED UPON NATALEE AND HER BEAUTIFUL FAMILY.

      STAND UP FOR NATALEE’S TRUTH!
STAND UP FOR NATALEE”S RIGHT TO JUSTICE!
STAND UP FOR NATALEE’S RIGHT TO BE RETURNED TO BE RELEASED FROM THIS DEPRAVED IMPRISONMENT, AND RETURNED TO HER LOVING FAMILY!!!

      JUSTICE FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY!
      JUSTICE FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY!
      JUSTICE FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY!

Thank you, Hammer …and thank you to all those who stand by Natalee’s side demaning that her voice be heard, her truth be told, her right to justice be honored.
Thank you for being a voice for this child’s right to justice.

Just a thought when we are discussing human trafficking

      Remember these statements….
No body no case…..If they find the girl they will see all the shit…..I think the girl drowned….I think Deepak killed the girl…Not to mention the statement from Jamie about Natalee not coming out of it.

FBI to Beth stating that they think Natalee was dead.

Most of all, these two speak volumes

      This is a homicide…I know the facts…and YOU DON’T
The suspect confessed and is leading the ALE to the body.

The human trafficking to me is a red herring that someone may be throwing to derail any further investigation into the creeps.

    52. Brie on May 30th, 2007 3:41 pm

I am thinking there are others that have disappeared from the island of Aruba, including natives, but no one ever hears about it.Just one happy island because they know how to hide the truth.

But this time, they never counted on Dave and Beth to pursue in length the disappearance of their daughter. Just cover-up and they will all go away. Not this time, there are too many of us that want justice for Natalee…

    53. Brie on May 30th, 2007 3:49 pm

Aruba, “One Happy Island”, well your history, it’s “One Fright Night After The Other”, compliments of Joran, family and friends.

    54. Maggie on May 30th, 2007 4:05 pm

Number #51 I agree, never did feel Natalee’s case was about human trafficking. Lots of pretty blonde, white girls have come and gone to Aruba. I would think the number would be much higher for missing American girls if it were that. I have seen nothing linking human trafficking to Natalee. The one who happened to be with Joran and K2 and disappeared was trafficked, I don’t buy it.

Plus all the witness statements and behaviour.. and everything I have seen about the 3 main suspects and the father,, tells me these arent classy people. I think this was simply a case of date/rape that went south fast. I also believe without a doubt that Paulus and Anita know exactly what happened along with Nadira. Too many coincidences, too many totally out of character things for Natalee, lots of sex talk and talk of Natalee passing out and falling asleep and not waking up. Willing to frame 2 men for kidnapping and murder. I don’t believe Natalee died from a drug overdose either unless someone let her suffer a long time or disposed of her alive, based on what Dr. Baden said..it takes hours for a person to die from an overdose..they go into a coma first.

Paulus’s letter from Natalee started that story about Natalee running away.. What person would believe Natalee would write that creep a letter??! I’ve believed all along Natalee died the first night she was taken. Nothing or Noone has came forward to show she ever lived past being in the car with those 3. Someone went to great lengths to erase every trace of Natalee ,,via cleaning the car, her shoes are gone,, 1 week lying before you say you took her on the beach , where if she was truly there one week before, lots of evidence could maybe still be found.

When Paulus said no body, no case a few days after Natalee went missing, Natalee was simply a missing person, not a case. So it would say no body means she could still be alive. not no case. After all Paulus said he believed their story about the HI(YEAH RIGHT).. so why would he say case?

On Good Morning America, Paulus denied saying it after the prosecutor is on tape saying he did and admitted it and Deepak and Joran are on record saying it also. Great man of the law huh?

All of this weird stuff only took place when Natalee was with Joran and the K2.. Was there for days never left her group.

Most of us never met Natalee, but after 2 years she holds a special place in all our hearts. Natalee’s in a place she can’t be harmed anymore. It’s just very sad she ever met up with all of these heartless and souless jerks. The only word they know is Me. Not one person, but Jossy Mansur has stood up to the govt or anyone in Aruba and asked for Justice and pointed out all the bull in this case.

Lying witness isn’t a crime, but Greta going to Nadira’s door and asking to talk to her is, cops were looking for Greta, and Beth coming to look for her daughter and protesters telling her to go home..

Natalee never told Joran she had a plantation, she never told Joran she had slaves or that black people were called that in the south, She never told him her mother was hitler’s sister, She never told him she wanted to see sharks. She never told him she was a lesbian.. She never told him she wanted to go see his big house etc. The whole point of going to a bar at closing time was to pick up an intoxicated girl.

I’m convinced this is the perfect place to go commit a crime.

    55. katablog on May 30th, 2007 6:17 pm

agree Maggie. I don’t know for sure about Nadira, but I will put big money on the fact that Anita and Paulus know the answer as to what was done with Natalee’s body. I do think it’s quite possible that Natalee died of a drug overdose, but not a drug she ingested purposefully. I think her asthma (or possibly if she was taking meds for asthma) may be the “factor” that made “we’ve done this 20 times and nothing happened” change. That or the dose was too strong this time.

I think IF Natalee got in the car willingly, it was because she believed Joran’s story about being a tourist and staying at the HI. That or the drugs given her had already affected her judgment. I tend to think the first scenario because of the description of Natalee being a very trusting person.

Natalee was not stupid enough to think you could see sharks at night. She wouldn’t have asked to see Joran’s house because she didn’t know he lived on the Island – she thought he was a tourist because that’s the story he told!

actually, there is no two year time limit on rape, heavy battery etc. The 2 year statute of limitations only exists for misdemeanors like shoplifting a candy bar and similar minor offenses.

And there also is no fixed 2 year limit for being seen as a suspect. You might be wise to actually listen to Scared Monkeys Radio or read up on good forums/blogs and you would have by now known this.

Natalee is in our hearts and forever will be there, aswell as Beth and Dave & Matt. The two year mark has come to pass and our feelings haven’t waned one bit in demanding Aruba take these predator’s off the streets or they will pay dearly. They have paid and we will make them pay for a lonnnng lonnnnng time for what they did to this family.

    61. minnesota dad on May 31st, 2007 10:25 am

      Ramm,

I don’t buy what you are selling. My understanding is that the two year statute releases the predators as suspects.

Please site where Aruba or the Dutch Investigators have filed with the court to not only have the suspect status for KIDNAPPING, DRUGGING, RAPING, HEAVY BATTERY…as well as HOMICIDE….extended for these predators.

The Dutch showing up on the island and waving a wand stating they are throwing out Dutch Law – Aruban style and that suspect status continues leaves me with little confidence that they want to resolve. WHERE ARE THE COURT ORDERS MANDATING THIS change from Dutch Law – Aruban style???

I maintain, we will see the predators file again within the courts within the next several weeks to be released as suspects…..and suddenly, Dutch Law – Aruban style will kick in and release them as suspects (hopefully in the midst of a media distracting event like a hurricane or a major terrorist attack).

Right now, Dutch Law – Aruban Style (DL-AS) has little credibility.

Explain how Aruban Law Enforcement could not search the Van Der Sloot Compound due to DL-AS, but a bunch of investigators show up from the Neth. and parade onto the property and into Paulus home….Apparently in violation of what we have been told was DL-AS.

Explain how these same investigators can just wander over to the Kalpoe Predator home and wander around and take stuff…when under DL-AS we were told this couldn’t be done.

Explain that if the investigators have enough ‘new evidence’ to search the VDS Predator property and supersede DL-AS….why don’t they have the ability to supercede DL-AS and requestion all of the witnesses and also bring Paulus back in as a suspect.

Explain that if the Aruban Courts have now found enough evidence to confirm that Paulus should be a suspect in the case….why the Dutch or Aruba have made no efforts to reverse the status of Paulus as a suspect in this case???

This case was intentionally made ‘muddy’ by those who knew how to pull off a cover-up under the ‘color of law’. The Dutch Investigators can either wash away the mud and bring clarity, or pile mud on. It is very unclear to me which path they have chosen.

Too many inconsistencies = lack of credibility.

      Ramm….

Why should I trust Dana or Jossy about how Aruba manipulates their system. I can say one day that folks will be questioned and then the next say that Dutch Law – Aruba Style forbids it unless they volunteer themselves.

The statute of limitations may extend…..but holding them as suspects ends at two years. It will be very interesting if they bring kidnapping, rape, and heavy battery charges against the predators and they bring up the two years as one of their defenses.

Then Ramm….we will see what the law actually is.
