Low Life Who Abused Doberman Puppy Get Sentenced to Jail

What kind of an individual would abuse a helpless puppy? Animals that depend 100% upon Doberman_puppytheir owners and this is how they are treated. One really has to wonder what type of control issues have to be going on with people that would do such things to animals. Of course this is just a precursor for the escalation of abuse. It takes a really big man to abuse a helpless puppy. Maybe the punishment should have been to be put in a room with some adult dobermans.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after bringing a 7-month-old Doberman puppy with broken ribs and leg injuries to a shelter and telling the workers there that his hands hurt from hitting her.

Isaak Gowhari, 34, was sentenced Thursday to 45 days in county jail after entering his plea to the misdemeanor counts. The judge also barred Gowhari from owning an animal for three years.

Gowhari’s telephone number was unlisted and he could not immediately be reached for comment.

Animal abuse is very serious and not to be taken lightly.People who make jokes about it are as sick as the people who do it…..

Ugh…these ppl, will the next victim be a human?

This guy is really dangerous. Its one thing to abuse and/or kill your pet and you discard the animal somewhere but when you take the poor little creature to a shelter & say what this guy says…..he’s headed for a human victim next. Just 45 days in jail and 3 years of being barred from having a pet is just waaaaay to lenient.

The new tv ad for abused animals has Sarah McLaughlin(sp) featured singing one of her songs *In the Arms of an Angel* is so touching. I sing along when it airs and my little long hair 3lb chihuahua Athena loves the song and runs to me the minute she hears it.

Just to be clear i in NO WAY minimizing someone killing their pet & discarding them, people who do things to animals may be made of flesh and blood but they are far from human.

Dobermans are the most lovable and affecionate breeds of all the dog variety in my opinion. You have to own one to really appreciate how wonderful they are. They got a bad rap because of Hollywood, cause they are so smart and easily trained-but are the sweetest and most good natured dogs ever bred.

Once again, this story makes us question the premises of evolution. Which is the “animal” in this case?

Iaak Zohari did not get enough jail time IMO.

45 days is nothing, except a lesson on not getting caught the next time. They start torturing animals first, then graduate to people. There’ll be more from this guy in the future.

That sentence is too light. I can only hope the other inmates learn of his actions and what he had to say for himself about it. Maybe their fists will hurt from pounding on him which would only be a form of justice.

And I agree that those who abuse the helpless will do far worse if they ever get the chance. Animal Cruelty carries a $1000 fine where I live as well. The punishment needs to be severe enough to at least discourage this sick behavior. I doubt this sorry excuse for a human can be taught much and so must be punished severely to prevent repeat behavior out of desire to avoid the consequences at least.
