NOVA Interview with Paul Van der Sloot
The following is the transcript and translation of the NOVA interview from over the
weekend with Paul van der Sloot on the house search of the last two days. Priceless that he adds a gratuitous plug for his son’s book during an interview designed to focus on a search of his home.
Introduction: Today two years after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway again a house search has been conducted in the parents house of JvdS on Aruba. Still the main suspect in the murder- or disappearance. case of Natalee Holloway. Not just another house search… This time more then 25 forensic experts from Holland and members of the KLPD (Corps Nat. Police Services) and they re-started the investigation. They were supposed to have serious leads that could point to the murderer. On the telephone, PvdS the father of Joran…
Nova: You are at Aruba… Can you tell what has happened today at your house… and yesterday?
PvdS: Yes, they started a house search yesterday. From around ten o’clock on and they went on till the evening. And this morning they continued that and around two o’clock Aruban time they ended the search.

Richard Lynn Stack, Children’s Book Writer banned from Schools After Inappropriate Comment to 10 Year Old
File this one under, what could you possibly been thinking. What on earth was children’s author, Richard Lynn Stack
thinking when he made the following comment to a 10 year old girl? Stack was asked by a 10 year old whether he would autograph her face. His response, “she should take off her clothes if she wanted his autograph on her face as she requested.” This from an author of children’s books. Unbelievable.
A visit to an elementary school didn’t have a fairytale ending for a Baltimore children’s book writer after he made what he says was a joking comment to a 10-year-old that she should take off her clothes if she wanted his autograph on her face as she requested, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Amigoe: “Highly placed Government Official said … the team expects to find Holloway’s Remains soon in Aruba
As Joe Tacopina and the defence teams spin for Joran Van der Sloot, one of the three
prime suspects in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, others are stating something quite differently. We think Joe Tacopina dost protest too much. For anyone to believe that a through search of the Van der Sloot home and a greater focus on Joran Van der Sloot is a positive event is guilty of spin to the n’th degree.
A highly placed government official told Amigoe last week that the team expects to find Holloway’s remains soon in Aruba …
The OM says that the Aruban and Dutch detectives that are currently working on the case have indications that ‘justify a further criminal investigation.
Amigoe, April 28, 2007: Again a search at the home of the Van der Sloot family
About 20 forensic experts from the Netherlands searched the family home of Joran van der Sloot yesterday. This is the second time that this is done in connection with the disappearance case of Natalee Holloway.
ORANJESTAD – About 20 forensic-technical experts from the Netherlands have been busy searching the house of the family Van der Sloot since yesterday. The investigation on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway since May 30th 2005 received a new impulse since April 16th, said the Public Prosecutor (OM). The Corps national police service (KLPD) in the Netherlands has investigated the file again and came up with more findings.

The Search of the Van der Sloot Residence
Maybe Aruban officials can explain to Natalee’s family why this was not done in the early days of the investigation.
