I wonder whether Aruba tourism will be promoting this news at the Boston Travel Show this weekend? Come to Aruba for our blue sky’s, white sandy beaches and 4.5 magnitude earthquakes. In the past two years, Aruba has had several earthquake-like happenings affect their tourism … now they get the real thing, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake. Although this is considered a light earthquake, it is far from a category of minor.

Earthquakes are measured on a logarithmic scale…the intensity between 4 and 5 is much, much, much less than between 5 and 6. So, a moderate quake can cause major damage, while a quake of 4.5 is not really significant and may be not noticed by many, especially those on the move.

I harken back to Scott Peterson when after almost 4 months he was confident that Laci & Conner’s body’s would never surface and he had gotton away with murder.

Think about it. A relatively insignificant earthquake in Aruba that apparently caused no loss of life balanced against an Alabama tornado killing 30+. Using your logic, one would presume that Alabmaians were more ’sinful’ than Arubans.

I stated clearly that by your and other’s implication, the same divine intervention caused Katrina, Rita, Hugo, Alabama (’98) tornadoes, etc.
My question is simply, what ’sin’ did the victims/nation-states of these tragedies commit to suffer such a divine intervention?
If the Aruba earthquake is Karma or whatever, then I would suggest that earthquakes, hurricaines, tornadoes within the US and the Indonesian tsunomi are Karma. In that case, Indonesians must have really done something bad.
BTW, the response to these tragedies by the US military is not germane to their respective cause.

Well for such an earth shattering, God induced, hell breaking earthquake I didn’t feel a single thing. Only a few days after I heard there was an earthquake. There are 4.5 quakes every single day in other parts of the world, especially around the ring of fire which includes the western United States. Why don’t you people pick up a damn seismology book instead of talking nonsense on the net? Why open your mind to more about how things work instead of chanting about what some God (who definitely has lots of followers here) would do against one island over one case?
We’re tired of telling you to clean your own backyard before you start judging your neighbor’s yard. It looks like there is still one pathetic little group who has no power whatsoever thinking they can move the earth and moon to get punishment over an island for one case.

Get over it! Aruba is one of the nicest places I have ever been to. The people are sincere and friendly. We own a couple timeshares there, and if I could, i would live there.

Ach people, stop complaining about what happend to Nathalee. We all agree that what happend is not good and it is wrong. But it is here not of issue. The same thing, we don’t say “It is good that the terrorist brought down the twin towers cause maybe 1 person in those towers might have killed an Arubian 5 years ago”? Or might we use that too?
