Fred Goldman Sues OJ Over Book Profits

IfIdiditIt looks like the OJ Simpson book “If I Did It” made 1 million dollars for a shell company that Simpson’s buddies helped set up, and the Goldman Family wants to make sure that Simpson does not profit from it. The Smoking Gun has a copy of the law suit here.

You knew that OJ was doing the book for the money, and it is good to see that the Goldman family has the fight in them to try to bar him from profiting from their son’s death. The family has an outstanding judgement of over 38 million dollars against Simpson allowing them to claim against any earnings from the book deal that Simpson could get directly or indirectly.

The father of Ron Goldman today sued O.J. Simpson, claiming that the disgraced athlete fraudulently profited from “If I Did It,” the canceled book that reportedly contained Simpson’s fictionalized account of how he could have killed Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. In the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Fred Goldman alleges that Simpson pocketed about $1 million in the deal for “If I Did It,” which was to be published last month by ReganBooks, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. The title was scrubbed in the face of widespread public criticism. In his complaint, a copy of which you’ll find below, Goldman contends that Simpson has tried to hinder the collection of a $38 million judgment arising from a civil verdict that found the former football star liable for the wrongful deaths of Goldman and Brown, who were murdered in 1994 (a Los Angeles criminal jury acquitted Simpson of the killings in October 1995). The hefty judgment remains unsatisfied, the complaint notes, “other than nominal sums collected through various levies.” Along with Simpson, Goldman today named Lorraine Brook Associates as a defendant in the federal action. The Florida firm was incorporated in March by attorney Leonardo Starke, a Simpson golfing buddy. Goldman charges that Simpson fraudulently conveyed his intellectual property rights to the shell company, which then cut the book deal with Regan. The Smoking Gun.

      Would someone please explain to me why OJ and J2K think they are above the law? Hoping at the very least when all is said and done, Fred Goldman leaves O.J. standing with his pants pockets turned inside out and living on the streets.
      I won’t get into what I want to happen to J2K…

      I do hope the Aruban sociopaths are taking notes on what happened to this one with his attempt to profit from his crimes. Their warped and twisted thinking seems to equate lack of evidence being collected, in the case of the Aruban ones, with lack of guilt.

      In other words, in their primitive brains, if they are not proven guilty, they must not be. And like OJ, they obviously have absolutely no conscience so no problem there.

      Yes. OJ got away with it as far as criminal punishment but he should never be allowed to make any money from what he did or truly by any other means. If honest people are involved they will not assist him in doing so. Just like the J2K, he has his little band of enablers and they deserve a front row seat in hell to watch, too.

      Assisting, supporting or encouraging these kinds of people is only one step removed from their actual crimes. May all who take innocent life never know a moment’s peace on this earth.

      Good for the Goldmans. Not only did OJ kill Ron and Nicole (the civil lawsuit proved he did) and he made money telling eveyone how it could have happened? What’s wrong with people?

      Maybe someone should pen a book about “If OJ was found guilty by a truthful jury and sent to jail”

      The book company is just as bad as OJ, always looking to make a buck. GREED. Isn’t that a deadly sin?

      I think the Goldmans would do better for themselves if they let things go. They are not hurting OJ one bit. OJ knows he is taunting them every step of the way and enjoying it. The way the Goldmans are living now is not healthy. Ron is dead and this endless pursuit of going after OJ’s money will not bring him back. OJ has a huge NFL pension that can never be touched. He is always going to be okay financially. If you can deprive a person of his freedom, that is justice. In that case, I would never stop. This vendetta, though justified, is consuming the Goldmans while OJ laughs.

      I have been studying OJ Simpson since the beginning of his trial regarding the murder of Nicole and Ron Goldman. I was always able to see right through him. It is now 13 years later and I heard something of interest and disturbance. Even though OJ has his latest run in with the law in Las Vegas, with speculation and deterrence, I have his number.

      This recent incident with OJ and his explosive nature in Las Vegas, brought upon his real character, (as if we already did not know it). In his book, “If I did it” and his 06/07/2004 interview with Greta Van Susteren (I hope I spelled your name right, Greta), made his admission of guilt. He should have kept his mouth shut in interviews. Let me explain;

      1) In his book, “If I did it”, OJ says that he would have had a man named “Charlie” do it. Charlie is an Italian “hit man”, OJ’s alter ego.

      2) In OJ’s interview with Greta on 06/07/2004, he refutes the allegations against Michael Jackson by saying, on tape, “Date rape and stranger rape are two different things”.

      Let me put this in perspective;

      A “hit man” would have killed Nicole and Ron execution style. He would have no emotional justification for a portentous crime. This crime was made up of jealously and rage OR from a sick man like Jeffery Dahlmer. OJ had public rage and jealousy for his ex, a beautiful blonde, and a man who was kneeling over her to help her in the time of death. Mark Ferman states that Nicole’s hair was found on Ron Goldman’s chest, insinuating that OJ was twice as engraged for another man (or lover) to be availing his ex wife.

      OJ states in the interview with Greta about the Michael Jackson case, that “Date rape and stranger rape are two different things”. Exactly my point. OJ, my love, criminals always slip up. Are you getting my point? How ironic for OJ to talk about emotional venues when he just screwed himself with these two statements.

      My name is Tracy Castillo. I have a Mexican last name and many African American friends, who I love. This has nothing to do with race. ( you egosentric asshole), (excuse me). It was only from a personal experience how I came about to study the criminal mind.

      Even though we all want justice, criminals do always slip up. I will be watching him from my studies of my own personal experience.

      Ok, oj simpson is found guilty but the Goldmans are no less guilty. They are fucking greedy bastards, I dont buy their bull that their intention to get the rights is to entirely punish him, they are profiting as well. If their intention were merely that why didnt donate the entire money from the book to charity. “Blood Money!” They all make me sick!
