Christmas Pornaments On the Store Shelves at Spencer Gifts for your Children to See & Buy

So with all the attempts to take “Christ” out of Christmas and for retail stores to only reference Happy Holidays … selling X-rated pornaments in stores where children frequent is OK. Why does this not surprise anyone?

Spencer Gifts in Florida are selling “pornaments” in their stores in plain sight of children. Better yet, it is being reported that there is no age limit on the purchase of these items. Take a look what they have in plain sight for children to see and buy. It is one thing to sell the product, which in an individuals choice to purchase or not. It’s quite another thing to have them out in the public sight for children to see.

A television station reported that the pornaments can be found on store shelves at the Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville in plain view of children and to anyone who walks into the Spencer’s stores.

Store workers said that there were no restrictions on who can purchase the pornaments in the store. (Local 6)

Officials at Spencer’s headquarters had no comment on the items. Of course they didn’t.

Less than two years later, in 2003, GB Palladin, a joint venture between Gordon Brothers Group, LLC and Palladin Capital Group, Inc. acquired Spencer Gifts LLC.

      That is disgusting…

Perhaps it’s no surprise that Florida seems to be home to so many kidnappers, rapists and child molestors. This is a highly subjective finding, based on the frequency of newspaper stories on such topics originating from there.

Come to think of it, wasn’t Joran van der Sloot intending to go to college in Florida? Natural, I suppose….

Nothing says Christmas like a “pornament” … GEEZ.

Why does nothing ever shock me anymore?

That really is inappropriate for children. I’d be furious if I had small children and they saw those in the store.

As maker of the original hand made Pornaments whom Spencers originally had taken the idea from (as well as a few of our designs which is currently under litigation), I have to add my two cents on the matter.

First, Spencers tested this idea last year (with the items under litigation), selling the products under a different name.

And now they apparently have deemed they need to steal my product name as well to sell their crappy mass produced in china junk.

What really kills me is that they totally missed the point of the humour of my products plus the subtle naughtiness. Instead they went for straight out lowest common denominator – sex acts.

All I can say is I hope you make lots of profit, Spencers, becuase you’ll be handing over a nice sized check to my company soon.

      See ya in court!

At least they can’t steal my PODGASMIC stuff.

      SM: Go get ‘em ED.

Anyone has a right to sell and market what they wish no matter the taste … I just would hope that you would have a warning on your web page of “not suitable for children.”

If you had the trademark … have at them.

As a former employee I have to say that this is the third year in a row that Spencers have carried these ornaments. They carried the exact same ones last year and nobody made a big deal about them. The first year they carried the ornaments they were very similar. Ed’s supposive set of pornaments did depict sexual acts. I have an original set, so I know this for a fact. Sounds like Ed is trying to put the sexual act blame on Spencers when it should fall on Ed’s shoulders. Finally everyone should get a life and drop it. Everyone knows what spencers sells and if you let your young children go into the store unsupervised then shame on you. Spencers is not a toy store, they are not a kids store. They are a store for young adults. Get it, YOUNG ADULTS. Get off Spencers back, they are not doing anything illegal. Why don’t you all find something more beneficial to do such teach your kids the facts of life instead of letting them run all over town and let them do what ever they please legal and illegal. Being a responsible parent should come first before complaining about what stores are selling. By the way have you checked out the sexually explicit windows at victoria secret. Or what about Sam Goody and FYE, they sell hard core porn in thier stores. Lets get a life people, I could go on and on but I’m really tired of mocking you all.

      Right-ee-oh,

Spencers is NOT a family store per se, as they indeed target a certain demographic. Spencers, keep the pornaments out of the storefront windows, and moms and pops, keep the kids out of the store, PLEASE. Thank you

Spencers has been selling this type of stuff for YEARs, people. I’m 27 and they’ve had that stuff since I was in Elementary school. If you don’t want your kids to see this stuff, then don’t let them go in the store. Its quite simple. It would be like taking your kids into Fredericks of Hollywood b/c they have nice robes.

mmmmm…..the real designer(s) of these must be… Paul Brough (Mr. Pink) and his lovely wife, Reality, MIP6, Renho, and all the pimp gang and their elders. Anyone care to add to the list?

Just wanted to let you know that I myself work at Spencer Gifts.

I was selling them in my store and for all of your information there is too an age limit. We DO NOT sell them to kids.

The employees in the store also do not decide where to put the merchandise.

And if you havn’t noticed. There is a sign on the doors or windows that say MATURE CONTENT.

We are not allowed to tell anyone to leave the store. it is the PARENTS fault for bringing the young children in to look around and it is there fault for not keeping an eye on there child!

      there you go!
