Saddam Hussein Sentenced – Death By Hanging is His Fate

How_to_hang_saddamThe sentence for the atrocities that have been committed by Saddam Hussein is death by hanging according to the Iraqi Court today. The leader who caused turmoil during his reign as leader of Iraq slaughtering thousands of his civilians and using biological weapons on them was convicted by those same people in an Iraqi court this morning.

Of course Saddam was defiant in his delusional way.

“Allahu Akbar!” (God is Greatest) and “Long live the nation!”, he shouted, pointing defiantly at the judge as the verdict was delivered. Looking away in disgust, and then staring angrily back at the judge he continued to shout “Long live the people and death to their enemies. Long live the glorious nation, and death to its enemies!”

He had refused to stand for the verdict and had to be lifted to his feet by two court bailiffs. “Make him stand,” the judge ordered as the former president stayed seated. He then stood in silence and waited for his fate to be announced to the world.

From us at Scared Monkeys, we welcome the hanging of Saddam as it will weaken those in Iraq that think he will return and thus make life safer for our troops. It will also punish one of the worst despots of our generation.

      Verdict’s In: Saddam Gets Death…

As I noted yesterday, there’s no tree branch or street lamp high enough to hang Saddam for all of his crimes, let alone the ones for which he was convicted earlier today. He was convicted of crimes against humanity for killing 148 Shi’ites. Two codef…

What will the ACLU say? Hanging, how unhumane. Because killing people with chemical weapons is so humane.

Maybe the US can bring back hanging … the hell with death row criminals being sedated before they are executed.

He must be viewed, while hanging, to let the people know it definitely was Sadam

    12. Patti on November 5th, 2006 5:01 pm

I just LOVE the picture… the girl with the noose.

Arn’t you glad that women don’t grow up to be
predators, serial killers, mass-murderers & tyrants?

As for him… I’ll bet he’ll be shaking his finger
and “handing” out orders up to the second
that he dies… what a putz.

    13. molly on November 5th, 2006 5:19 pm

There is no limit in time for an auto appeal which
he is entitled to. This scum will never be put to
      death any time soon.

    14. Jumanji on November 5th, 2006 8:34 pm

And you all probably call yourselves civilized. Who I wonder is the true BARBARIAN! Although obviously educated, you all seem to lack intellectuality.

    15. Scared Monkeys on November 5th, 2006 9:41 pm

      Describe “intellectuality” Jumanji?

If it means endless talking things out without movement as you will find in a French cafe, then count me out.

I prefer folks who are action orientated and will put themselves on the line in true basic terms, not lost in Solipsism…

      Tom

PS here is a link on Solipsism if you need to figure out what I mean… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

    16. Marc on November 5th, 2006 11:08 pm

I think it is pretty clear who is lost in solipsism. “Scared Monkeys” seems to be uncapable of exchancing opinions based on arguments, without making it personal. It is actually pretty sad that you are the one bringing this up, because that is exactly what someone “lost in solipsism” would do…

      Marc

    17. Mike on November 6th, 2006 12:45 am

      marc and jumanji,

you two can go to iraq and have a good intellectual talk with saddam any time you are ready. i am sure he will be happy to talk with you and a couple of his friends will be happy to practice their expertise at chopping off your head with a rusty sword when you are done. surely you are both being sarcastic.

    18. Mike on November 6th, 2006 12:55 am

      jumanji,

actually, hanging is not barbaric enough for this guy. a good stoning or crucifying him sound a little better in my book.

    19. Patti on November 6th, 2006 1:11 am

Marc has a coo-coo, clock in his head… that’s what he told
me. Regarding the Stefanson case, he said I was the coo-coo
clock… He’s just delusional. Although, the second
description of solipsism fits him well… we can all read
between the lines, he’s a psychopath that makes EVERY
argument personal and, then, points his nasty, old, crusty
      finger at everyone else.

Marc, you need to go get your coo-coo examined and quit
reinventing your self. Mr. I KNOW… no, marc you don’t
know. In fact, you will never know as it is hard for
you to see past that world that you think evolves around
you… so take a bow and kindly excuse yourself.

    20. Carpe Noctem on November 6th, 2006 4:20 am

He needs to be puttin that finger down! There
are some good ole boys in Iraq that’ll be helpin’
him find a ‘holster’ for it.

    21. MIss-Underestimated on November 6th, 2006 8:39 am

Listen to the news, the families of the victims of Saddams hand. How they feel justice is out there and being served. So go talk to those people, then come here and talk your crap.

I am glad that Saddam did not get his way again, remember he wanted to be shot, that’s what he wanted instead he will be hung. Finally to those innocent in Iraq, can see that there is a possiblity of democracy. “long live justice”

    22. d on November 6th, 2006 1:20 pm

I’m glad he’s being hanged but don’t you find it rather convenient that the verdict was handed out 3 days prior to the elections here in the U.S.? I guess our government takes us for complete idiots.

    23. Jackie on November 6th, 2006 2:10 pm

Regardless of his crimes and if a jury found he should be killed. The picture of the girl holding a noose is just a sick picture and very disturbing to my mind. I would not want to witness a life ending and it is tragic all around…that he is the kind of man that he is and that his actions brought him death….but his death is a tragedy begat from tragedy, no laughing matter any of it. Regardless of the degree of evil one possesses inside of them, God will forgive them should they ask. He is still a soul, bound for heaven or bound for hell God is the judge, not us.

    24. dutchhog on November 6th, 2006 2:29 pm

all that f…ing trouble!!! they just should have shot him where they found the F..KER!!or just threw a couple of grenades,in that whole they found him in! burying him at the same time! it would have saved us millions and the load of crap this guy has been venting for the last couple of years!!isn’t anybody out there who thinks “hanging” is just a little to easy for this guy!!how about that musterdgas he used!!, i’ve heard that if you use just a little bit it feels like you’re burning from the inside out and death can take weeks!!(i’am sorry i always get a little sado when i see this guy!)

      _______

SM: Unfortunatly the EU thinks that Saddam shouldn’t be hanged. Whats up with that? Here dutchdog is arguing over a more painful and immediate form of execution, which I tend to agree with, and then we have the EU whining over the death penalty. Was the EU ok with the gassing that the Kurds got as well? The EU is so weak and pathetic.

The European Union urged Iraq on Sunday not to carry out the death sentence passed on Iraq’s former leader Saddam Hussein after his conviction for crimes against humanity.

      Â

“The EU opposes capital punishment in all cases and under all circumstances, and it should not be carried out in this case either,” Finland, current holder of the rotating EU presidency, said in a statement.
    25. Patti on November 6th, 2006 6:14 pm

First of all, it is not our government that rendered the
statement… nor is it because of our president that the
verdict was rendered when it was; as when we get our new
president it will be just one less thang.

Who are we to judge how they carry out their justice? If
hanging is their common practice, I wonder how many of his
resisters were hung? Besides, I know that in Washington
state you can still choose to be hung. I thought that was
pretty cool when they gave Wesley Dodd the choice and he
said that he wanted to go out the same way as his latest
victim. So they hung him high. The EU can go talk their
stuff, but who do you think is going to listen to them,
      Iraq??? I don’t think so.

Dutch, you are once again my hero!!!!

[...] The death sentence of Saddam Hussein caused dancing in the streets of Badhdad [...]

    27. dutchhog on November 7th, 2006 12:37 am

still don’t believe in the death sentence!!i still believe it’s the easy way out for a lot of these….well you know!!so it’s not for the weak and pathetic reason you think!it’s just to damn easy!!in case of hanging this old fart wouldn’t feel a thing!he will break his neck if you kick him in the shins!LOL!can’t we make him walk the desert?i saw that in a movie once!and PATTI,why can’t people choose between…lets say 6 life setences or death?i mean doing a 6 life stretch or JUST death,i wouldn’t have think long about that!kick that chair!!LOL!!still i think it’s to damn easy!!

    28. Marc on November 7th, 2006 8:41 pm

Patti, I don’t know to which Marc you are referring but I never reacted on any of your pathetic posts… Once again the EU showed that civilisation actually went on in Europe and that it somehow stopped during the wild west in the USA (as in many other things by the way). Don’t bother reacting, I understand that most of you never will get why.

    29. Carpe Noctem on November 8th, 2006 6:45 pm

They’ll be swingin’ with jihabs swaying….
and the band’s all playing… DANCIN!!!

      See ya UNCLE SADIE.

      Going DOWN?

    30. Patti on November 9th, 2006 12:27 am

Marc::: If you never replied to it, how do you know it was
      pathetic??? Ooooooh Weellll….

But Dutch hog…… don’t you think you need to remind Marc
of all those people that were tortured and killed in those
jails and insane assylums that were skattered allllllllllll
over Europe. They didn’t only kill the criminals, for very
minor infractions like stealing, they killied the whole
family including the children. So don’t start your history
bluff with me because I know about that.

Just because you are an older culture than us, does not
make you better…. afterall, you have had your share of
criminals, as well. It’s just that you are a bit more
      CIVILIZED… I’ll give ya that.

So you tell me, what does a country that is only 230 years
old live in a world with people who’s culture goes back
1,000′s of years??? It’s like us looking at Mexico. But
that doesn’t make our burden any lighter.

Marc, I’m sorry for mistaken you, but there was this guy
that was all over my a.. for nothing… just wanted to
argue. I kept telling him I didn’t care and he just kept
      going.

      But…….. that’s over now.
