Shannon Torrez arrested in the kidnapping Abigale Lynn Woods and 
assault of Stephenie Ochsenbine Abigale Lynn Woods is being held on $1 million bond and was to be arraigned Thursday.
In court papers, authorities said Torrez, 36, learned about the week-old baby through a “welcome home” yard sign for the new mother, Stephenie Ochsenbine.
Sheriff Gary Toelke said Torrez told investigators she was nine months pregnant but lost the baby on Friday, the same day little Abigale Lynn Woods was kidnapped. But Toelke said investigators are trying to determine whether Torrez had been pregnant.
However, authorities are suspect of the Torrez story and they have not yet confirmed that she was ever pregnant.
“There is speculation maybe she wasn’t,” Toelke said at a late afternoon news conference. There also was no sign of a stillborn baby, he said.
Investigators questioned how Torrez could have delivered her own baby and recovered enough physically to attack Ochsenbine on the same day. (Fox News)

I believe the woman faked her pregnancy. Very dangerous combination: violent and psychotic. Like Joran she should be locked up and not allowed to harm anyone else in her lifetime.

I don’t know about any of you gals but after giving birth I sure didn’t feel like going out attacking someone and stealing a baby! My main plan was sleep! I did good to get up the next day!

Looks like “The Night of the Living Dead” movie.
After discovering the news, I am shocked. I happen to have spent time with Shannon a year or so ago, by circumstance. And all I can say is that she was a refreshing, kind, and stable person. I also witnessed her at 8-9 months pregnant. SHE WAS PREGNANT. All I can say is that SOMETHING took hold of her…she lost it. No, what she did was horrible, but something snapped in her. HATE comments don’t leave room for the fact that people experience TRAMA and can snap. THis is what i BELIEVE to be true. She needs HELP! NOT hatred towards her.
The deserve justice.It will take a long time for them to get over the trauma, and may never fully recover…and experience fear for a long time. Shannon does deserve proper punishment, but also needs help and guidance. She does not even look like the same person I was familiar with…
Ms Grace I agree with you. When she has finished paying for her crime of slashing someone’s throat and stealing their baby then I think she should move in with you so you can help her all you want. I don’t think anyone else owes here even the slightest amount of pity.
Ms. Grace, I agree with you 100% she does need help not hate comments. I’m not a female but i have a child my self so in a way i know what she went through, and yes xnavy if she was out, she would be welcome to live with me, because EVERYONE deserves a second chance.
