Life Imitating Art, Imitating Life … Body Washes Ashore While Filming CSI Miami

Image the surprise and consternation of the director when scene takes place during a TV filmCSI_Miami shooting that is not what the script calls for. The director screams, “CUT”!!! What is that prop doing in this shot?” One could have envisioned this occurring last Friday when an actual body washed ashore during the filming of CSI Miami. Imagine that, irony indeed.

MIAMI (AP) — A man’s body floated up near where a crew was filming a scene for the crime show “CSI: Miami,” authorities said.

The body washed up early Friday in Biscayne Bay at Bicentennial Park, which film crews were using as a helicopter staging ground for aerial shots of a fictional offshore investigation for the CBS show, police said.

It appears that this was not the first time such an event happened to the CSI Miami set.
