Natalee Holloway Fatigue? The Numbers Say No

Thanks to the Joran Van der Sloot unedited interviews, Greta Van Susteren’s “On The Record” and Fox were #1 in that much sought after 25-54 demographic in all of cable news.

The program averaged 497,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, topping The O’Reilly Factor and all the rest. In total viewers, Greta was second with 2,121,000 viewers — substantially above her recent nightly numbers, but still 200,000 short of O’Reilly.

Which can also explain why Bill O’Reilly and the O’Reilly Report has been doing segments with Geraldo Rivera discussing and previewing the Greta interviews.

Last week ABC’s Prime Time interviews with Joran Van der Sloot was the highest rated show that they have had in nearly three years.

The broadcast averaged 12.4 million total viewers. The news magazine’s 4.4 rating in the 18-49 demo beat CBS’s 3.8…

Part III of Greta Van Susteren’s interview will air Friday night. Greta’s unedited, deposition style interview format is a stroke of brilliance. Letting the interviewee actually speak, sometimes rambling too much is such a drastic difference between the many talk show hosts that sometimes like to hear themselves talk instead.

Next stop, Larry King Live. Looks like even CNN and LKL wants in the game even though the network has done little to no reporting on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, except by Nancy Grace.

Natalee Holloway fatigue? Hardly. It looks like Aruba has Joran Van der Sloot to thank for the increased rise in attention to the case. Many are thanking Joran for putting the disappearance of Natalee back on top. Millions are captivated by this story and as Beth Twitty begins her “Save Yourself” Program, many more will learn about Natalee Holloway and the dangers that exist out there when one lets their guard down in what are perceived as safe places.
