RSSAmigoe (Aruba): Airport is for the safety of people and material
Looks like there is a follow up article from Amigoe to last weeks, “Air traffic in Aruba in danger“. There had seemed to have been questions as to what Peter Steinmetz, director of Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), was referring to when it came to safety issues. Maybe the following from Amigoe could clarify that. It would appear safety issues contained a broad scope of things including passengers.
Maintaining a high level of safety at the airport of Aruba is one of the most important objectives of Aruba Airport Authority (AAA). On the one hand, the organizations are forced to this, because, in order to continue to function, they have to comply with the guidelines of the international civil aviation organization ICAO. On the other hand, the well-being of the passengers, airport employees, aircrafts, vehicles, and other material depends on this.
Although much of the article stresses accidents that could take place on the runway apron, there are a couple of comments that could easily be translated to a larger approach to safety issues. At least they had better be.
Especially the apron of an airport is vulnerable for big and small accidents due to the presence of great amount of passengers and airport employees, especially during rush hours. If we do not pay attention to small accidents, the risk for big accidents increases.
The one statement that catches one’s eye is discussing communication. The Amigoe article references communication issues in the fact that several languages are used which is a safety issue. A lack of communication is an accident waiting to happen.
An aspect that is contributory for the safety or unsafety is the use of several languages. A good communication is very essential.
The fact that Amigoe has once again references communication as being a paramount safety issue on the ground at the airport, one can only look back to their previous article regarding the Aruban airport and wonder what they were trying to imply by the following comments.
Apparently the main reason seems to be due to the malfunctioning radar in Curaà §ao, the use of outdated software and an unreliable radio communication between the control towers of the Reina Beatrix and Hato airports.
Communication issues are a safety concern whether they be in the air or on the ground. Proper communication is the glue that holds everything together.

Dunkin’ Donuts actor “Time To Make the Donuts” Dies
Michael Vale, better known as Fred the baker of Dunkin Donuts fame, has died at the age of 83 due to complications from diabetes. 
Vale died Saturday in New York City of complications from diabetes, son-in law Rick Reil said.
Ads featuring Fred, who uttered the trademark line “Time to make the doughnuts,” ran for 15 years until Vale retired in 1997.
Michael Vale had become such a media commercial icon with one of the greatest marketing tag lines since Wendy’s, “Where’s the Beef”. The Dunkin Donuts commercials were infectious and as a statement from Dunkin Donuts said, “became a beloved American icon that permeated our culture and touched millions with his sense of humor and humble nature.”
Michael Vale, Fred the baker, became the face of Dunkin Donuts. So much in that even after his retirement in 1997, everyone remembers … “Time to make the doughnuts.”

Dave Holloway: “I had a very good source tell me that the boys or Joran especially has already a list of the questions”

Dave Holloway responds to the news that Joran and the other two suspects are going to be re-interviewed. Dave’s comment is as follows:
Well I’m not really sure how to gauge it at this point in time, Lisa, but I’m encouraged anytime they bring them back in for questioning. What I’m confused on is that I had a very good source tell me that the boys or Joran especially has already a list of the questions that is going to be asked of him.
My source tells me that he knows what’s going to be asked and that information was provided to him approximately two weeks ago.
One wonders if true, why the pop quiz suddenly became a take home test? These comments are not coming from Beth Twitty, who everyone that sides with the suspects would immediately find fault with the comments. These words are coming from Dave Holloway. I truly hope for Aruba’s sake that these suspects were not given the questions in advance, because it will come out. This all just plays into the reason why so many have doubts with the investigation. As Dave Holloway commented regarding the efforts by the ALE to bring Joran in for questioning, “It’s—it may be all for show. Who knows?”

Letter Sent To Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch regarding his daughter Laura
The note received by Tim Miller, which was made up of words cut from newspapers and magazines, claimed to be from the last person to see Laura Miller alive. Laura Miller was murdered in 1984 and now Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch is sent such a letter?
There are some seriously twisted people out there. Many believe that the individual who murdered Tim Miller’s daughter passed away recently. The letter was sent five months after the death of one of the murder suspects. So either, this letter may be from the actual murderer of Laura Miller or a sick cruel joke.

Beth Twitty Hopes Teens Will learn from Natalee Holloway disappearance
Beth Twitty hopes that teens will learn a valuable lesson from the disappearance of her daughter Natalee Holloway. All to often teens look at themselves in a “it could never happen to me” attitude and that they are independent enough to handle every situation. Beth Twitty hopes to spread the message that this may not always be the case.
The mother of missing Alabama teen-ager Natalee Holloway is hoping that this year’s class of high school seniors will learn something from her daughter’s disappearance in Aruba. One also wonders whether certain Aruban hotels will continue the practice of allowing high school trips to stay in the hotels?
As Beth Holloway Twitty puts it, “If kids can take Natalee’s story with them and realize that you’re not always safe,” and also that they’re responsible for themselves, they’ll be better off.
But Twitty says one problem is that teens are fearless. She says, “They’re caught between a delicate balance of being under their parents’ watchful eye and being totally independent.”
The events and circumstances that took place in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway show that one must be on guard at all times. As for herself Beth Twitty stated that even though she did plenty of homework regarding her daughter’s trip to Aruba she wishes she would “have done a little more homework.”
