One Woman’s Protest in Aruba; “Give Natalee Justice”

All it takes is one person to state their opinion to create a beginning to something. ThenNatalee Justice 1 again sometimes it may just be about one persons feelings on a matter. Such is the case of this American tourist who arrived Wednesday to Aruba on board the cruise ship “Volendam.” In peaceful, silent protest wearing a t-shirt that said “Give Natalee Justice” and “No Body does not equal No Crime”. She certainly made her point. This is the fear of many in Aruba and within the tourism industry. Any action like a protest or boycott against Aruba for perceptions or the actually handling of the Natalee Holloway case could easily start anywhere or from anything.

Cruise Ship tourist protests in front of Courthouse (Translation Hat Tip: Get a Grip) 10/20/2005 Natalee Justice 2

ORANJESTAD (AAN): An American tourist who arrived Wednesday to our island on board the cruise ship “Volendam” of the Holland America Line, came determined to hold a protest in front of the courthouse. Dressed in a t-shirt that says in the front: “Give Natalee Justice” and in the back “No Body does not equal No Crime”, the tourist expressed her opinion about Natalee’s case in silence. Read in our edition from today what motivated Mrs. Maggie to take this type of action

    25. Lauren on October 21st, 2005 3:05 pm

I think all tourists who want to support Natalee and who are on a cruise that stops in Aruba should think about doing this. What a great idea. It’s peaceful and while she’s sitting there, she isn’t spending her money on Aruba. I hope more will follow.

    26. Sarahscooby on October 21st, 2005 3:41 pm

Finally the voice of reason in Aruba. I just hope she didn’t have a mystery man following her like Beth Twitty did.

    27. Linda - L.A. on October 21st, 2005 4:39 pm

What a classy way to actually “do” something.

    28. nelson on October 21st, 2005 9:51 pm

A man following Beth, sounds like people are really going crazy here!!

    29. Tazman on October 23rd, 2005 1:34 am

Brave lady to silently protest like that instead of shopping throughout the town.

I hope Natalee is found soon. Her family will not stop searching and neither will the people that support them. Too many people have decided to stick with this case until it is solved.

I’m praying for Dave and Beth and their families.

Great idea my hats off to you. I hope others take up the same course especially those visiting the island. What a great way to let aruba know that the world is watching them and waiting for justice for natalee.

This is only possible in a peaceful Aruba, who is a democratic Island and love the American Tourist so much that they have guide this particular Tourist to the Court House for her peaceful thought on a T-shirt. This in a peaceful way and very appreciated by the Aruban, and have get the media atentention for this. But this is only posible in Aruba, not in the other caribbean Island or Latin America. After this she was going shopping a buy many souvenirs from Aruba. Thank you so much friend.
