This is an amazing video of a bus driver snapping on the students. I wonder what set him off?

As a parent and as an educator, I believe that if appropriate discipline were occurring in the home and if the home disciplinarian supported the discipline of the school, instead of believing that their child never does any wrong, incidences such as this would not be happening.

It’s interesting to note that no one has sided with the driver. The kid threw a can (which sounded heavy) at the driver and could have caused serious physical damage such as brain damage, or could have caused her to lose control of the bus resulting in fatalities. I look at this case as self defense and do believe the school system should make it top priority to have monitors on every bus. If a monitor is not on the bus, it should NOT depart.

This type of student should be restrained in a 5 point harness for his safety and the safety of others during transport.

The thrown can could have injured or killed the driver, and then the bus would likely have hit another vehicle on the road.

The driver should have the right to refuse to leave without a monitor. She may have risked losing her job if she did refused to drive, though.
