Tonight, My Eldest Son and I are seeing STYX.

StyxWe have a little Amphitheater in town, the Frederick Brown Amphitheater, and we are going to go over and see STYX. It will be the Eldest first concert, and although it is not very high on the cool meter for adults, I think it will be a wonderful time for him. Lots of lights and sounds for the little guy.

Looking at the Styx web site, it looks like they have a new album. I hope to god they do not play anything new. Give me my Come Sail Away and Mr Roboto, and we will be happy.

And no rain, as it is an open air theater.

They played Nashville a few months ago, and, missing the cross promotional opportunities, I didn’t go. I hope they rock, even without Dennis DeYoung.

Styx? Doesn’t that bring back some high school memories that will never be discussed.

They Rocked. And yes Red, it was a interesting thing as the mind flashed back to “the old days” as I looked at my son. Amazing, the juxtaposition.

Domo Origato Mr. Roboto is a hit with sons of all ages. Mine is older now, so he has taste of his own (good taste, I might add). As everyone will tell you, treasure these years because they don’t last forever.

The ones that follow are good too, though. I just saw my daughter graduate, and Dad was pretty proud of his girl.

      Tom ,
You are so gay. Next thing I know, you will tell me you are going to see Tom Jones at Chastain and having brie and shrimp with a crisp 2002 Sonoma chardonnay!! Oh, I forgot, I am the one going to that. Guess Kathy could not get Styk ticks. I am so jealous.

Hey, Scott. We drank beer. Cold Beer. None of those sissy things. Had a red steak and fries before hand, and a good time.

And don’t forget the puff pastries with the brie, they go well together!

I was going to ask if it was domestic or import but, #1 I know it was not French and #2 It never mattered to you before anyway. Somehow I am sure Chris Chelios would be proud of your taste.
