‘The Riddler’ Frank Gorshin Dies, RIP

Actor Frank Gorshin, best known for his as The Riddler on the old “Batman” television series, has died at the age of 72.

It is unfortunately just another in a long line of great actors from my youth that have departed who provided so much laughter and enjoyment. He was a comedic genius and will certainly be missed.

“He put up a valiant fight with lung cancer, emphysema and pneumonia,” Mrs. Gorshin said in a statement.

Despite dozens of television and movie credits, Gorshin will be forever remembered for his role as The Riddler, Adam West’s villainous foil in the question mark-pocked green suit and bowler hat on “Batman” from 1966-69.

Riddle me this: Who was the best Riddler character ever in all Batman shows and movies? No question about it, it was Frank Gorshin.

God bless.
