In what can be described as simply frightful, thieves stole 1,700 blank driver’s licenses in North Las Vegas.
“This could be anything from a bunch of juveniles who want to be able to make IDs to buy beer, to major criminal activity or even terrorism,” police spokesman Tim Bedwell said Tuesday. “We don’t know what they took them for.”
On September 10, 2001 this crime would simply be looked at as a juveniles looking for ID or a way to get illegal aliens proper ID. However, in a post 9-11 world the stakes are raised and the thought that 1700 license ID’s in the hands of terrorist should make everyone stand up and notice.
